In my experience it's spell reflection that does you in with this invocation. I once wiped out my entire party casting it at Nemnok with a SC Bellower with obscenely an obscenely high PL as well as lightning lashes from Sasha's and Deltro's helm. While it's fun to use, I never use it against spell casters any more. Her Revenge or Her Tears works much better against them as they don't seem to be reflected, at least in my experience. Never wiped out a party with them!

What exactly happens when you steal an enemy's chant? Does this cause you to have a permanent aura causing crushing damage?

By "a list of continous spells with several attacks" you mean pulsing spells, right? These are spells like chill fog, returning storm and relentless storm that proc multiple times, with an attack roll each time. This is nice because even if you you miss with the first attack, you may hit on subsequent pulses. Insect Swarm and Plague of Insects, on the other hand, are damage over time spells. They "attack" only once, and if the attack is successful, do damage over time. But if you miss on the initial attack they do nothing at all.

Regarding your first question I'm not entirely sure, but I seem to recall pretty much always getting tier 3 inspirations when I have done this. @Constentin LĂ©vine, our POE2 loremaster who discovered this, could probably answer this question. Even if you get a lower tier inspiration they're overridden I think by a tier 3. Her Tears can also proc multiple inspirations if you are surrounded by peons or hit a big boss with multiple rays, due to the secondary explosions, like Her Revenge. I'm not sure if this works with O Eld Nary. I don't think it procs them multiple times like the other two. As for Refreshing Finale, you can empower any invocation and get an empower point back. However, things that proc multiple times, namely Her Revenge and Her Tears, will give you back multiple points, basically refreshing all of your empowerment points. So a chanter and another class that get a lot out of empowering, such bas druid, monk, priest and wizard, make a great MC combo. It's for this reason that vanilla wizard is probably the most OP for a Loremaster build. Edit: I checked @Constentin LĂ©vine's post on this, and discovered that O Eld Nary doesn't proc multiple inspirations. The only other invocation that does is Boil Their Flesh and its upgrade. I never really use this invocation, but I understand that it's pretty buggy unless you have the Balance Polishing Mod.

It works like this: Her Revenge sends out three primary bolts of electricity , each of which procs secondary bolts like chain lightning on a small AOE scale. You can affect multiple enemies, but you'll get the multiple procs even when there's only one enemy present. If you empower it while wearing the LUC, each bolt (primary and secondary) will give you a random tier 3 inspiration, potentially giving you all 6 tier 3 inspirations. Moreover, if you are wielding SSS with the refreshing finale upgrade, it will not only give you back the empowerment point you just used, but will refill your empowerment points completely. So if you draw down your empowerment points by self-empowering to restore wizard spells, you can get them all back if you use your final point to empower Her Revenge. This also works with the Her Tears Fell Like Rain ability as well.

You can get phrases when critting with AOE weapons like the lance and WotEP. Having multiple enemies in then circle or cone increases your chances of critting and hence getting a phrase back. But you can only get one phrase back per attack. As for loremaster, you might consider going with a vanilla wizard/skald so that you could do all the crazy empowerment shenanigans with Least Unstable Coil, Sasha's Singing Scimitar (SSS), and the Weyc items. You can also empower yourself to get back spells, and then in the next battle empower Her Revenge with SSS to get back all of your empowerment points. @Not So Clever Houndhas written a lot about this and other Loremaster exploits in this forum.

You can get energized with no cheese and just two items, Lover's Embrace and the Slayer's Claw. If you upgrade the former, there's a 33% chance to proc frenzy every time you crit. Since crits from spells can proc it as well as melee attacks, it's easy for casters to do this when wielding it. Once you're frenzied, if you have slayer's claw in another weapon slot, just switch weapons twice to upgrade the strong to tenacious and then energized.

I think that dual wielding SF and MT would be overkill in most cases, since MT would almost certainly kill most foes long before SF's DoT would. But the combo might be ideal with megabosses, since you hopefully wouldn't crit often enough for MT to crash the game, but would get enough in to defeat them relatively quickly.

I'd recommend stalker as well. And you might consider using the Griffin's Blade sword. It dazes on crits, and a stalker will crit a lot. This will reduce foes PEN, and will significantly boost survivability for you and your pet & summons, while also boosting spell damage. You might consider it as an alternative to Firebrand/WotEP.

Well, you can use Heaven's Cacophony and scrolls if you MC, but I agree, SC druid is best for Effort. Not only because you can naturally cast AS, but also because the weapon's great with Greater Maelstrom as well. But for a Fury/Stalker you could specialize in great sword, and make regular use of WotEP and Firebrand, and play around with Effort later once you get it.

The DoT has another attack roll, and for some reason it can proc swift flurry/heartbeat drumming, which means you are twice as likely to proc one of them per attack. And if MT is in your main hand, you have twice the chance to proc them again. This means you are much more likely to have cascading crit chains, which can become so long there is a danger of crashing the game unless you are using a really souped up computer to run the game.

I'd recommend Fury/Stalker, and use a melee weapon. Pick the bear companion for higher armor and survivability, and pick its buffs when you level up early game. The Effort great sword is the ultimate weapon for a druid, but Lord Daryn's Voulge is great until you get it. Make sure you get Taste of the Hunt; it provides great emergency healing that a Fury otherwise doesn't get, and applies a nice DoT effect on the enemy.

I have tried and very much enjoyed playing a melee oriented skald/soulblade. It is fine for party play or solo on lower difficulties. For PotD upscaled solo, however, you'd probably be better off with a psion/troubadour, for more reliable focus generation and faster phrase generation for summoning much needed minions. But I'm sure you know this, @Not So Clever Hound!
