Blessing of Zarangel And Dance with Squealy Nord
Ethics Gradient replied to Dreadgor's topic in Pathfinder Adventures: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)What a card says it does and how the game interpret things sometimes don't match up, and little bugs like this are found. The Dance with Squaly Nord is a relatively recent addition to the app compared to The Blessing of Zarongel, so it is entirely possible that the BofZ simply isn't programmed to work against barriers right now. If that is the case, the AD6 Stampeding Aurochs barrier (also with the Animal trait) may have a similar issue, and the BofZ is granting only one extra die, not two

Expansion Plans?
Ethics Gradient replied to Applesauc3's topic in Pathfinder Adventures: General Discussion (No Spoilers!)Nope. No word on any release dates so far. Additionally, there haven't been any details on pricing or how exactly cross-compatability will work. The Steam release will happen when it happens. Greatness can't be rushed.

Missing Gold
Ethics Gradient replied to Keppyslinger's topic in Pathfinder Adventures: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)Android? Things seem ok with iOS Game Center accounts (US). Maybe there's a problem with google play handing off authentication details to the pathfinder server?

iOS Badge Stuck at 1
Ethics Gradient replied to fflewddur's topic in Pathfinder Adventures: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)Derp. I meant Notifications Settings, not Notification Center. 1. Settings --> Notifications --> Pathfinder Adventures --> Badge App Icon (Turn off) 2. Return to home screen, verify the badge is gone 3. Go back to the settings app and turn Badge App Icon (Turn off) It would probably be safe to turn off Notifications entirely. So far, all it does is remind you once a day that there are new challenges. Amusingly enough, you still get the notifications even when the challenge server flakes out. It just seems to be a timed event, not a push notification from the server.

iOS Badge Stuck at 1
Ethics Gradient replied to fflewddur's topic in Pathfinder Adventures: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)The badge counter is letting you know there is a new Daily Challenge. Why it clears sometimes and not others..., I haven't a clue. Try checking out the Challenge button or clear it manually in the notification center.

Daylight Savings Time
Ethics Gradient replied to Ethics Gradient's topic in Pathfinder Adventures: General Discussion (No Spoilers!)Same as the above, but in reverse!

Expansion Plans?
Ethics Gradient replied to Applesauc3's topic in Pathfinder Adventures: General Discussion (No Spoilers!)Hah. The reverse has happened to me. Anyway, to further elaborate on OP's questions, here's where things seem to stand right now: - Rise of the Runelords is feature complete. AD1-AD6 have been released, as well as the Character Deck and RoTR promo cards. Everything can be purchased as a bundle, or most items individually. - Something gobliny is coming soonish. The Valentine's Dev Blog made note of the work they are doing to create some potential "We Be Goblins!" content, as well as a new batch of goblin-alts for the characters. Nothing further is known at this time. - No word on Skull & Shackles or beyond. Every time someone managed to corner a dev on that subject, the answer is along the lines of: "we'd really like to produce more Pathfinder ACG Adventure Paths, and we'll let you know if that ever happens to be the case." - Also no information on additional content like class decks. It has been brought up as well, and answers were similar to the response above. I'd really love to see Pathfinder Adventures continue onwards too. The game can be a lot more fun when you don't have two dozen little piles of cards to shuffle and deal every time you want to play.

Expansion Plans?
Ethics Gradient replied to Applesauc3's topic in Pathfinder Adventures: General Discussion (No Spoilers!)The "season pass" is already complete. Purchasing the RoTR Bundle gets you AD1-AD6 and the full lineup characters and promo cards (not including alts). There is no indication at this time that the bundle will entitle you to further expansions. However, the devs did mention that they were working on some "We Be Goblins!" content. *HINT* Goblin Kyra hiding in the in-app store *HINT* I'm sure there is still some great content on the horizon! You never know what the devs have in store, they can be quite crafty!

Swallowtail Festival - tech problem or rule misunderstanding
Ethics Gradient replied to ferrisvalyn's topic in Pathfinder Adventures: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)Seems like a legit close. Temp close draws the henchman, henchman defeat allows an attempt for permanent closing, the successful check closes it out. One of the ACG designers commented on it several years ago.

UI is messing up
Ethics Gradient replied to Serpe's topic in Pathfinder Adventures: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)I don't have an android device to double-check but it should be something like: - Connect to your PC (or use a file browser on the device) - Open the Android Folder, then data -> net.obsidian.pacg1 -> files -> PACG1_SAVE_GAMES - Delete the single file called "settings" - Restart Pathfinder Adventures It is generally ok to delete the app as a last resort. As long as you have been regularly playing online, everything should have been synced off to the server (cards, characters, saves, gold, etc...) and come right back.

Piracy Policy
Ethics Gradient replied to Thyraxus's topic in Pathfinder Adventures: General Discussion (No Spoilers!)Piracy Policy: Yarr! Anyways... looks like android got a 1.1.6.4.3 update. Nothing new to see on iOS. Notice any changes?

UI is messing up
Ethics Gradient replied to Serpe's topic in Pathfinder Adventures: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)Uninstall and reinstall the app. (Or delete the "settings" file if you're comfortable navigating around your device's file system.) Whatever happened with the Valentines' update that temporarily broke the Settings menu may have inadvertently corrupted your settings file. The above solution fixed one of my devices that was having the same problems you describe. Devices that didn't visit the Settings menu during the 1.1.6.4.1 update don't seem to have a lingering issue with an "Unknown" interface button.

Quest Mode Reminder
Ethics Gradient replied to Ethics Gradient's topic in Pathfinder Adventures: General Discussion (No Spoilers!)I think it is more practical than technical. Recompiling Pathfinder for PC/Mac isn't that difficult, and I would be tremendously surprised if the app hasn't been working fine on desktop for a long time now. The problem I see is that Quest Mode just couldn't live up to its potential. It was never bad or particularly broken; what we ended up with is something stuck about half-way between scripted and random. Striking that balance between random and fun can be difficult, and players are just one poorly-generated quest away from losing everything if they play with permadeath on. While I'm entirely sympathetic to the idea that it costs nothing to leave the feature in, once you hit lvl 40, you're pretty much playing the same half-dozen scenarios over and over again. I cannot imagine that was their intent. I have some faith that it may come back someday, but if a Steam launch is on the horizon, shipping a product with a half-implmented feature like Quest is one way to be murdered in the reviews. Better to focus and enhance the core experience of Story Mode for now, and reintroduce quest or something like it later.

Kyra's healing ability bug
Ethics Gradient replied to Kellinka16's topic in Pathfinder Adventures: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)Huh. For the record, the Kyra I was using only has the Purge Undead power, not the Purge Outsider upgrade. How much you want to bet that Purge Outsider is "overriding" Purge Undead? I don't recall exactly where else we've encountered this, but I swear there have been other examples where the "superior" power was flaky, and was replacing instead of extending the earlier ability.

Why so quiet?
Ethics Gradient replied to MauGibrin's topic in Pathfinder Adventures: General Discussion (No Spoilers!)That's my impression too. It is also why I started another thread to remind players that the clock is ticking to play some quest before it disappears. Something is coming for sure. Given the hints we've been shown, the end of quest mode and goblin alts seem to be next significant updates to expect.

Kyra's healing ability bug
Ethics Gradient replied to Kellinka16's topic in Pathfinder Adventures: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)Just to confirm, Purge Undead works fine, and probably has for quite some time. Blasted away a Zombie Minion with Holy Light (not Mokmurian's Club), and the following buttons popped up to let me heal back a card. You can even see that the "On Defeat Heal" power is activated on the left side of the screen.

Kyra's healing ability bug
Ethics Gradient replied to Kellinka16's topic in Pathfinder Adventures: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)It doesn't? I could swear that Purge Undead works just fine. At least it no longer glitches out and totally breaks the game. I'll go check it out and report back...

Why so quiet?
Ethics Gradient replied to MauGibrin's topic in Pathfinder Adventures: General Discussion (No Spoilers!)I'm guessing there have been a lot of things going on there lately. The company-wide outbreak of Deadfire fever seems to have subsided, and GDC just wrapped-up over the weekend. I'm sure we'll be hearing from them shortly, considering that 1.1.6.5 seems to be looming on the horizon. Who knows. Maybe there's some other glorious project on the horizon? Perhaps a Fallout New Vegas: Adventure Card Game? just kidding, don't kill me!

How to chose "Banish" for Armor
Ethics Gradient replied to Somebodyelse's topic in Pathfinder Adventures: General Discussion (No Spoilers!)Hm.. Checks out. There must have been some additional circumstance that prevented you from burying/banishing the Leather Armor. Probably as discussed above. EDIT: Glad you figured it out!

How to chose "Banish" for Armor
Ethics Gradient replied to Somebodyelse's topic in Pathfinder Adventures: General Discussion (No Spoilers!)If you don't see an option to banish/bury, the game has already concluded that option isn't applicable. Reasons might included: - You already used an armor during the check sequence - The particular damage cannot be reduced Normally, Leather Armor should give options to Recharge, Bury/Banish, and Discard. If the only option is to Discard, then the game has determined that you are unable to use any of the card powers to resolve the Damage phase of the check. Could also be bugged... it's been a long time since I've had leather armor. Let me take a look....

Kyra's healing ability bug
Ethics Gradient replied to Kellinka16's topic in Pathfinder Adventures: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)It's part of a known issue for all forms of healing. I forget if the community nailed down a specific cause yet, but sometimes healing just stops working until restart the app/scenario. Last I knew, all of the healing powers and cards usually work just fine. However, there is some unknown player behavior that somehow breaks all abilities to move cards from your discard pile to your deck. I think the most recent theory was that certain "off-turn" actions like having background characters use their healing abilities or other spells might be a cause. Fortunately, the bug doesn't wreck your game save or anything. The worst-case is that you'll have to forfeit or play through the scenario without healing abilities.

With Quest Mode going this month I want to know about "Treasure in Story Mode"
Ethics Gradient replied to mccrispy's topic in Pathfinder Adventures: General Discussion (No Spoilers!)Entirely right. Turning treasure cards "on" doesn't permanently contaminate the vault or anything. What it does is determine whether or not a random selection of treasure cards will be mixed into the "vanilla" vault the next time you start a scenario. What it should not do is have any effect on games in progress. And it should not remove any treasure cards that characters may possess whenever you toggle the on/off button. If you want to have a party play the game "pure", just turn treasure cards off before you pick the next scenario. When you're playing with a party that you would like to encounter treasure cards, just turn it back on again. The "Treasure cards in story mode" option isn't particularly well explained, but to the best of my knowledge it is perfectly safe to toggle on/off without affecting a "pure" playthrough or wrecking the inventory of a party loaded down with treasures.

Music stopped playing
Ethics Gradient replied to Duque's topic in Pathfinder Adventures: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)Probably. I think the most recent Pathfinder apps were built with Unity 5.4.3f1. Any patch release or major release newer should have the audio fix. If you're wondering "Well, why haven't the devs upgraded their Unity?" the answer is mostly: "if it ain't broke, don't fix it." Unity generally recommends caution when updating your setup because the little changes here and there might bug out an app and require some testing to verify things are still ok.

Preserving Quest Mode characters post patch 1.1.6.5
Ethics Gradient replied to mccrispy's topic in Pathfinder Adventures: General Discussion (No Spoilers!)Your best option would be to start a quest mode game, select a bunch of characters, grab the "SLOT99/game.sav" file off your device, forfeit and repeat until you have a representative quest save with all of all your characters. But without knowing how a potential re-implementation of Quest Mode might work, it is doubtful what good those file files might be useful for in the future. But if you want to archive your characters, that's really the only solution right now.
