It's only 25% chance and Steadfast has to deal the killing blow, for 30% more dmg... For me it's one of the worst procs. Steadfast is however very good on tanky paladins: - paladins can reduce grazes by picking single weapon style and zealous focus (which means an effective 10% chance to proc) - it benefits from scion of flame - it adds more defense Pallegina can deal 100dmg with it - that's like dealing 10 more dmg with each hit (a lash, on average, adds like 5-6 more dmg). The proc is also very strong because it uses weapon's accuracy and it adds another +10 bonus to it - which means mostly hits and crits. Of course it's far from the best dps weapons but you can't have everything superb and durganized and from that perspective it earns easily its place on a npc. They still get a save vs reflex if the sunlance proc goes off. Effective succesful hit would be more like 6-8% of the time I think. So many times I've wasted my time withe these soulbound builds. Never again.

Dual wield highest dps weapon

Surely the wounding from dawn in spring wouldnt keep stacking as you hit? Especially wielding two of them? So in the panel when you hover over a bad guy it would say " dawn in spring " and timer counting down multiple times with every successful hit? Like : Dawn in spring 3.8 sec Dawn in spring 3.0 sec Dawn in spring 1.7 sec Dawn in spring 1.0 sec Can anyone confirm if it will do this? That would be pretty serious damage getting dished out -

If you duplicated dawn in spring with the mold, dual wielded it with a rogue who had the deep wounds talents would all that wounding stack? From the wounding affliction from the dagger and deep wounds from the rogue. That would be impressive if it did. -
- priest painful interdiction (at low levels but I stopped needing it around level 11) - druid relentless storm (why I stopped using interdiction) - position tanks and wait for enemies to gather around tanks then wizard cast call to slumber. - rogue starts going to town with crits and deathblows (the rogue almost kills enemies quicker then the entire group combined) - if there not dead by now wizard keeps throwing that stunning frost fireball spell to lock up there back lines. - if there still not dead get fighter to activate unbending a severely under appreciated power in this game. Perhaps one of the strongest talents if not the strongest. - cipher can mind plague if enemies can be charmed.

I have done more testing on this at end levels (around level 15) with my end game . Purgatory is the winner I think but I couldn't test drawn in spring. Can someone please shine some light on this dagger for me? Eg is it a contender and do you need high might to make it work? -
Devotion of the faithful is ok early but it gets over ridden by higher level priest spells later on. And I seriously disagree that it is more useful then storm spells. Ciphers amplified wave was just as powerful as relentless storm prior to it getting nerfed. But yeah I agree if Druids didn't have storms they would be one of the worst classes. On par with chanters and barbarians.

I just finished my latest play through on POTD. At the start of every encounter the first thing I did was activate relentless storm with my druid. The difference in encounter difficulty when you don't do this is substantial, that's an understatement the storm spells tip the balance in your favour dramatically. Every fight was literally start battle, relentless storm, you win. I honestly would prefer this spell got nerfed so I didn't have the temptation of using it and concentrated more on changing my battle tactics to suit different encounters. It is just to tempting not to use it.

I've rolled numerous characters and tried to take advantage of the soulbound procs, they just don't work. I have tried so hard to make them work but the 10% proc rate on a hit or crit is completely pointless. When you look at it from a attack/ proc ratio these items will proc roughly one in every 20 times you attack due to not proccing on grazes and misses and the enemies get a chance to resist the proc even if it does go off due to getting a save vs will, fort ect... I'm seriously annoyed at this. Obsidian you done all this work creating these items but they are borderline useless. Can we please get these proc chances increased in following patches.

Don't believe what people are saying on here.Throw steadfast in the bin. Seriously, it is a completely useless piece of ****. There are arguments on here saying that it is a good defensive weapon on a druid ect......I don't no about you but my Druids sit on the outskirts of battle throwing spells and using ranged weapons like bows and firearms. If your needing a sword that heals you when you get hit you are doing something seriously wrong. There are literally about 20 or so other weapons that are better of steadfast in terms of offence. The most attractive part about steadfast is the 15% proc for Pallys and priests for sunlance. Even at 15% that is to unreliable to matter for when it counts and I usually have 3-4 casters in my party that are 100% guaranteed to land spells WHEN it COUNTS. For dragon fights, yeah the immunity to terrified is good but good luck taking a dragon down with this thing. Use a scroll on your entire group and only attack the dragon with steadfast if you want to die in less then 15 seconds. Like I said throw it in the bin

You will probably find it a little difficult at the start of the game. Once you hit around level 11+ it will get easier. People solo POTD remember. Having said that I have never soloed POTD and I couldn't think of anything worse to be honest. Your fights will involve a serious amount of micro management. It will probably take you 3-4 times longer to finish the game with no dedicate melee classes. Good luck.

Dual wield highest dps weapon

Thank you that makes sense. It increase the base damage as an additive modifier not a scaling modifier. Pergarorty, rimecutter and bittercut are all quite equal. Pergatory has: - increased base damage (sabre) - annilation - increase grazes to hits Bittercut has: - increase base damage (sabre) - corrode damage as base that can be modified with spirit of decay ( about an extra 4 damage with a normal hit, 20% of base) - but you have sacrificed a talent point with spirit of decay Rimecutter has: - annilation - speed I just fully upgraded unlabored blade on my current play through. The firebug basically never goes off. Basing an entire build around using this dagger is plain stupid if you ask me. The firebug proc needs to be considerably increased. It's sad to see the developers make such a big mistake with these soul bounds. If you compare bittercut to purgatory you have basically sacrificed annilation and increased hits (and a talent point) for the extra 4 damage. I personally think pergatory is the winner -

How do you know it increases the base damage of bittercut? I can't find any evidence that I does this. It doesn't show up on the combat log at all and as far as I know there is no way in telling. Can you please show me how you came to this conclusion? I'm not talking about the paladin with all the lashes just a rogue with bittercut and spirit of decay
