  1. Hmmm...I have thought of trying it...interesting.
  2. Jealousy had nothing to do with it. Anakin's fall was damn near inevitable, where as strong with the force and physically able, his mind was weak and susceptable to the workings of Darth Sidious..and Sidious knew this from the very start. Love is forbidden because of its emotional entanglements. Love is a powerful emotion, one that can defer your thoughts from better judgment, much like anger can. The Jedi preach of being mindful of your thoughts, extreme emotions block judgment and without that better judgment you cannot make clear choices or you hesitate to make them, and that can (and most likely will) lead you down the dark path. The Jedi are wary of all emotions, because every emotion has the possibility to lead one to the dark side. "There is no emotion..."
  3. It can go either way. But we know Revan left the known Galaxy in search of the Ancient Sith Empire, to destroy it or revive it. Who knows... (but it sets the stage )
  4. Hmm...I think I figured the only good connection for Jolee Jolee - Kreia For the sole reason of their adherence to the "Grey philosophy" in relation to the Force and LS/DS. There is no other good correlation.
  5. KOTOR...only because KOTOR2 provided alot of wisdom/knowledge of the Force itself that I personally wanted to know. I really loved what Kreia taught and spoke of it. Using the force it all its wonders, with no restrictions...being one with the Force without having to die. Basically "There is not light or dark...only the Force". Not to mention I hate Vrook...(he is the reason I wish the game had more gore, so I could slaughter him like the arrogant piggy that he was) Its really a tough decision. If the movies were not already "set in stone" story wise...I would have loved to play a KOTOR style game as Vader.
  6. Hmmm....I would have put Juhani - Visas Heres a real tough one...someone find a good comparison for Jolee. It just aint there.
  7. I just had to back comment on this... Aside from ship and armor variations, if it took 4000 years to design flame throwers and jet packs....then it is very unreasonable Especially in comparison to, oh I don't know...STEALTH GENERATORS.
  8. From the way Kreia talked about Revan...I doubt he is dead. There may have even been the dialogue option to ask if Revan was dead with high influence (I forget) Who knows...Revan could have came to his senses when he left the known Galaxy, saw that there was no light and dark side, just the Force. (Which is the prevailing concept of K2, as directed by discussions with Kreia)
  9. Interpretation may matter. Greater doesn't mean stronger or better, could mean just in understanding her teachings to the best and completing the Dark side ritual of apprentice kills master (which is what Kreia really wants to happen), or his ability to destroy the force. If only we knew more about Revan...all we know really is that as a Jedi he was ambitious and headstrong, went to war, was "corrupted" by something (Star Forge, maybe or not) and became Sith Lord who was graceful with the Force as opposed to arrogant. Kreia gave some insight into Revan if you had the influence, but even then it was not enough info to make the comparison.
  10. Hmmm...intriguing. That would mean its not limited to a single race. Tidbits like this help to better theories.
  11. Lets see, If Mace Windu blocked the lightning (speed of light I mind you) with his Saber, then he could no doubt block a simple force push. "He aint no padawan bitch, ya hear?" Lightning is the Ultimate power of the Dark Side, or for those who are very knowledgable of the force (Yoda, Tyranus, Sidious)...and remember, Sidious was setting up the scene to convert Anakin fully. Anakin had to let the "Hate flow".
  12. Bao-Dur approves greatly of aiding the Republic. Bring him to Onderon while playing light side and youll probably have it in no time.
  13. We all know stealth is not essential at any point of the game. Though its not about success of completion of the game, but rather exploring and enjoying all possible aspects of it. You increase persuade so you can enhance dialogue options. Using stealth with the right force powers, feats and skills can enhance the experience. But in fairness, its use is limited to the entrance of the tomb of Freedon Nadd, even for that part of the game, you send your 2nd wave with maybe one good character. At which point you can stealth up your lesser characters who should still be at initial levels...so there is a big enough window to enjoy it.
  14. To my knowledge, no. You may need Affect/dominate mind. If you do have it, then I have no idea and can only suggest trying every possible conversation option and appeal to his love of blood shed.
  15. The whole zombie look is just how the game was made, strictly for the game there is no definition of why they look as they do when they have fallen to the dark side. "For the hell of it..." Maybe visual distinctions are based on the nature of the Dark Side in which the individual adheres to. Darth Tyranus was a smart individual when it came to the Force. His dark side is more subtle and less concerned with performing acts of pure evil, but rather attempting true mastery in all aspects of the Force that the Jedi Order denies to Jedi. This attitude is, what I believe, very similar to Revan's train of thought as compared to Malak's. Finesse of the Force as a whole vs use of the Force as pure strength to dominate. In the games you can control how evil you will act, but regardless your dark side will still look the same.
  16. I think Bao-Dur shows the DS well, but everyone else does become rather zombie-ish.
  17. Or have some fun before the entrance to the tomb of Freedon Nadd , recovering all those wonderful mines they left for you and...adjusting their position...
  18. Truthfully, I spread it out. Basically from the start I usually pick three characters automatically to play the whole game with. Exile from the start - (Affect/Dominate mind are also good to have) Persuade and Treat injury (Until Force points and Healing are enough to sustain the team). Then its persuade and awareness, which are so crucial for full entertainment of the game. Other skills can be ajusted as you see fit based on how you build your team. Other characters get split up based on the abilities they start with, and then based on progression (Jedi or not) adjust slighty. The game is just so much better when you take full advantage of a high stealth, demolitions, computer use and security and to always have equipment that increase those stats significantly. Endless ways though, no one way is perfect, but as everyone before me has said, Persuade is key.
  19. This caught my eye, wanted to comment on it. 2. I would imagine this "rule" was not originally a concept of the Jedi Order, but that in seeing how other Jedi gave into temptation, indulgence without control and lust for power without restraint and fell from the light side (Possibly in the Ancient Jedi Civil War that first split the Order between Light and Dark...which would also be a great story idea). Seeing how easily it could corrupt others it was inacted as a guideline by the remaining Order and strictly enforced.
  20. Teenager? You are sadly mistaken.
  21. I can understand the transition may be difficult. Anime-esque character design is the only thing of the sort...even so, there is not that much to begin with. Generally skies has a great story, a modification of the standard for rpgs (Evil empire trying to rule the world) as well it has some nice plot twists that if you get into the feel of the game, the mood can hit you as much as Aeris being killed by Sephiroth. Ill even admit...I got a bit teary eyed here and there while playing Skies
  22. Honestly, stray from PC rpgs and get into some console ones. GC - Skies of Arcadia, Tales of Symphonia PS2 - Any FF, Star Ocean: End of time Although I have noticed often, PC players want more complexity in their games and worlds that console rpgs just dont provide. But those rpgs have good systems, a good amount of time put in and have replay value "up the wazoo".
  23. I assure you, this is my first time here. I guess there was a previous Hades who spoiled the good name?
  24. Could work, or not even as the Exile but another Fallen Jedi, with his own story for following/not following Revan and returning or not returning to the order and subsequent events for each choice. I know what I know story wise from the games and repeatedly playing, I never got into SW comics...didnt even know there were KOTOR comics. Kind of off topic..a little, but I have been meaning to ask people to verify, Bao-Dur is an Iridonian, and looks exactly like Darth Maul, does that mean Maul is an Iridonian as well?
  25. Your point is not crossing the board completely, but its your opinion. I personally would like more information, another section of the original story that could possibly set the events for a sequel. Unless they jump the KOTOR story ahead about 2000 years to a "blank canvas", the story will be a sequel in story wise to the original. A new game would be difficult, right now the KOTOR universe is believable, as long as it remains unique in itself, it will be fine. No matter which route they go (if they do go) I don't think it will throw off a fan base or destroy the series. For this topic, its all opinion at this point.
