  1. The entire level system and numerical representations of attributes doesn't make any sense. PNP rules do not even make "sense" in terms of stories.
  2. I know that.....but is level 6 "weak?" From what I hear level 20 is Yoda, and Yoda is uber-powerful. In D&D Drizzt was classified as level 17, and he too was insanely powerful in the game.
  3. I actually agree with what you said......I didn't mean to say that Bastila wasn't deep because she was cliche....just that she was not deep.
  4. Read fardragons post, as mine was a reply to it. He says that a character like Kreia cannot be lower than 6th level or it stretches the credibility. And I say why? Unless someone can tell me something specific about what exactly a 6th level character? Carth was only a level 3 hero of the Republic. I don't feel that that in any way took away from the "credibility." I would bet that 99% of the people in the universe would never get past level 1 anyways. If all a 6th level character is is a character that is level 6, then I see no reason why Kreia couldn't be level 3 when you met her. Why must someone be of Level X to be "credible" according to fardragon? It's sort of like what exactly is 1hp remaining for a character. But I guess I'm waxing too philosophically here.
  5. You are reading too deep looking for a connection. They haven't mentioned Zaalbar and the white-haired chick...there must be a connection. They are not talking about the characters at all, so obviously they would not comment about any link between 2 characters that they are not talking about at all. Frankly, if the white-haired woman is in fact Bastilla, they better provide one hell of an explanation, because it's gonna make things cheezy. Besides....Bastila cannot be the same person since this white-haired woman seems like she will be important to the story, and there is always to possibility that Bastila is dead from the first game.
  6. Would the devs just come out and say "Bastilla is kaput" on the forums, months before the game comes out?

  8. Ummmm.....no kidding. But what exactly is a 6th level character? Because apparently if Kreia is 6th level, it "violates" credibility. I'm gonna bet on 1st level character, since the character likely has not been very active for the past few years. Sure s/he is a veteran of the Mandalorian wars....but that was 9 years ago.
  9. I liked the Half-Life: Uplink demo that they released.....had nothing to do with the actual plot, so it spoiled nothing.
  10. I don't understand exactly what you mean? Gender and class have a factor on who can be your NPC party members....not an apprentice (which has only recieved a "ding-ding" for a confirmation). You could still have other characters that could not be an apprentice to you that would only go with you if you are a female/male.
  11. I wouldn't consider her to be "deep" for a game character, when she isn't even the deepest character in the game. Mind you a lot of people consider a five minute interaction with Yuthura Ban to be "deep." I loved the ability to turn Yuthura to the lightside and all that...but to call her a deep character is silly IMO because we just did not interact with her enough.
  12. Comparing Bastila to such characters that are designed to be over the top like Duke Nukem is rather silly. I'd rather compare her to Morte or any character from Planescape: Torment. Furthermore, stating that someone has simliarities to the characters that she is similar to in literature does not make her deep. All it means is that the idea behind her is quite established (although to be fair, looking at most literature you'll find oodles of similiarities between characters). We don't "have" to compare her to Shakespeare characters......just that the idea behind her is cliche.
  13. What exactly is a 6th level character? Or a first level character?
  14. I loved the announcer.... "Laadieeees aaaand gentlemaaaaan"
  15. I would say that a good number of them could be shared. You could probably get away with 2....one for LS and one for DS. I highly doubt 12, lest they all be shallow characters.
  16. This was already explained: such is the image in western popular culture. Isn't? I don't think so. I live in Edmonton, Canada, and I don't know anyone that thinks of Eastern Europeans as savages.
  17. Becouse we love this character and want to interact with her again. Pretty simple. You continuously put your own opinion as that of the entire community. You love Bastila (as well as some others). I did not care much for the Bastila character for the majority part of the game. The only time she was interesting is when you meet her on the temple top....aside from that she seemed rather boring and not deep at all. I do not want to see her because I want to meet new characters that are much deeper and more interesting as a result. If any of you have played Planescape: Torment, you would know that MCA is capable of making much more fascinating characters, that you are always engaging in conversations again and again just to see if they have anything new to say. Which says a lot for the characters in KOTOR, since she isn't very deep. In any case I found Jolee to much more fascinating than Bastilla. I always found myself waiting for him to say something. His stories were interesting....Bastila's were not nearly as so. I preferred the internal conflict of Carth over Bastila's cliched character. Although I did like most of the character sidequests, since they generally created internal conflicts within the characters. Although I would like some verification of these sidequests if someone has a moment: Bastila and her mom Carth and his son (never done this one) Mission and her brother Zaalbar and his home planet Juhani and a murderer of her race Canderous and some goons or something (did this one once a long time ago). Jolee and Sunry (??? not sure if this is actually his side quest or if there is something more...seems to quick). HK-47 and his repairs T3 and.......ok fine nothing here...but since he was virtually untapped I don't mind his addition to KOTOR 2....they can make something more out of him.
  18. That would be pretty cool actuatlly....a game of cat and mouse with an assassin droid. Actually, I wouldn't be surprised if HK is allowed to join your party, but eventually betrays you because his assassin protocols kick in.
  19. You calculate 12 apprentices from the previous game? In any case, I doubt that any apprentices (if they do happen) will be from the previous game. And I doubt that Yuthura would be an apprentice....she'd probably already be stronger than you to start the game. She's had 5 additional years to study the Force.....and she probably would not fall to the dark side again...but maybe I suppose.
  20. If you had master force speed enabled you did get 3 attacks with a force jump move...the animation just didn't show it.
  21. It's like a submarine....not everyone sleeps at one time.
  22. Not necessarily. And the apprentice would probably be just in title only. But someone 3 levels lower than you is not gonna be as powerful as you.
  23. Does anybody like wookies? Chewbacca was pretty cool
  24. That's why the only characters that can be critical are HK, T3, and Canderous. You cannot have anyone else be critical to the role because if you choose darkside dialogues they would be dead or gone.
