I'd give you that....if games when Fallout came out all had voice acting. Fallout 1 voiced Tandi, and upon meeting her father or her you would not have known she was an important character (Fallout 1, not Fallout 2). It's a moot discussion anyways, as we don't know what BIS/Interplay would have done if they could have afforded the voice all the lines. Sin City's is artistic because all movies are in colour now. How many would have lauded it's artistic sense if it was going up beside the very first movies that had full colour and the wow factor of the full colour? Wizard of Oz milked this like crazy, starting the movie in black and white, and then going BAM, look at all the beautiful colours. Fallout's voice acting was cool, but imagine your reaction if every line in the game was spoken. To say that you wouldn't care is bogus based on hindsight IMO. Furthermore, since you like to state that developers give secondary characters voices so that you can hear what they sound like, then Baldur's Gate has the same thing. When you initiate conversation with every character they make some sort of audible noise...it's just that their lines of dialogue aren't spoken. You still know what they sound like. But imagine how alive the world would be if every person was voiced in quality....

I usually play on Prince or Warlord, and have been able to wear down armies... At least I'm pretty sure I did, it's been a while since I played.

I think a thing about even if a marijuana joint has 3 times the tar, I don't know of any potheads that smoke 1-2 packs of marijuana a day

When I last posted in this thread I think Darque was congratulating me for hitting 200 posts in a single 24 hours timespan. It was in the aftermath of the great mod party when no mods were in sight. Surprised Fionavar didn't come in and binary code this one up.

Haha, I was just about to post this! Here's a link if you want to see the latest Trailer (Trailer #4). I liked the new trailer, and am probably gonna import this game (I want my DVD and don't care for censorship).

I was a total power gamer when I played through my Baldur's Gate titles. I got a good roll as a Paladin, and was able to put 18 in all my stats except for Intelligence, which I had to drop down to three. But hey, it didn't matter for a Paladin right? With all the Tome's, my Paladin was rock on powerful going into Baldur's Gate 2. Although the crap intelligence made the "Maze" spell particularly bad for me, as it took my PC (and most powerful character) out of combat for like 12 rounds or something goofy because he was too stupid to negotiate the maze. Was less annoying than "Imprisonment" though. Ugh.

I find there's less hard feelings for Weight. It's like we all wanted him to get more money because he deserved it, but we just couldn't give it to him.

I was not a big Tennis fan either. But I was a basketball fan, and they'd always have Tennis commercials on during the NBC telecasts for the major events, and I'd always see "Pete Sampras goes for another major" or something like that. I had respect for Pete because he seemed very good at his sport, and winning his last U.S. Open made me happy for him after age had caught up with him and he wasn't performing as well as he had in the past.

I have no idea when they go on sale, outside of the September 17th for October games. I wouldn't be surprised if it was the 17th, give or take a few days, for the next month all the time. Meh.

It's a pretty good series. Maybe it might satisfy those that want a more "real" "CRPG" experience? Surely it's cheap enough that Hades will find it a good value.

This immediately gives the impression that you are unhappy with the current changes to the CRPG market to have more twitch like qualities, whether or not that was your intention. But then you criticize Sir Tech for not adapting, while at the same time criticize SSI for trying to adapt. Given what I thought you were talking about from the title, the the way your post went, I had a hard time figuring out what your point was. Maybe if I had clicked on the link and finished reading it would have made more sense, but what you posted here didn't seem to make much sense.

Somebody should notify the people that made the Best Selling Games Wiki. Somehow I doubt Planescape: Torment selling more than the original quake. Otherwise we'd have Planescape: Torment 2 and Planescape: Torment Arena as well.

I didn't know much about Datsyuk, but this certainly doesn't move him up my list of favourite players.

Which was just a clarification from my "I don't think anyone should be denied care" post. I never thought it wasn't clear to begin with, but whatever. I do think it's unfortunate that you think it's fine to deny the fellow service however.
