  1. Well, I figure if anyone comes into this thread, they better expect spoilers..... Well, David Palmer gets assassinated about 2 minutes into the show. Tony and Michelle are doing their own thing, running their own business, but she insists on heading back to CTU to lend a hand, given that they had done many profiles on David Palmer's enemies in the past. Tony is reluctant, and during his hesitation, Michelle goes kaboom to a car bomb. Tony goes out to pull her out, and gets put into critical condition as residual explosions happen. Chloe is off to work as well, and Edgar gives her a dingle about what has happened. Chloe, realizing she's the last person alive that knows that Jack is still alive, freaks out....rightfully so. She sees some people in a van and starts to run. She was able to evade her captors, and contacts Jack on a pay phone. Curious as to what's going on, angry that his good friend Palmer is dead, and willing to save his friend Chloe's life...he hijacks a helicopter and heads back to meet her and figure out WTF is going on.
  2. Reminds me of old door games I used to play.
  3. Jack = uber-badass Even then, I could still see them killing him off. I'm predicting the kid (Derrick) this season as his heir apparent :D
  4. I agree...the first thing I thought of was Die Hard as well. Though that part is now past. Feel sorry for Mrs. Logan....she's stuck in a rock and a hard place. And as cold as it may be, I actually liked that they killed Jack's wife in season one. It made for a less happy ending, which is refreshing in the world of Hollywood....especially TV shows. I like the fact that BAD things happen on the show, often to good people. Jack has to be the unluckiest guy in the world. And this season has really shed some light on people that were typically considered "invinicible" in this show. Outside of Jack, no one is really untouchable on this show. And even then, I wouldn't be too surprised if Jack bit it this season. I was actually expecting it to actually be his end in Season 4.
  5. Fair enough. It was just that your clarification came directly after two other people were clarifying what PPU meant. I'm not much of a fan of calling things GPUs and PPUs and whatnot, as it starts to make things get confusing. I've always been Graphics Chip and expect to be Physics chip. But hey, that's just me. Hopefully I don't get too confused, because my PPU experience is definitely with respect to the Cell processor. Thanks for the clarification.
  6. Mus says Brujah, but you could have also been a Toreador. Were you known for punching your way through things? Did you have an ability that made you hack computers, use guns better, and see the aura of an individual?
  7. Only if you're restricting your definition to the Aegia marketting people. You also just pointed out a great weakness of Wikipedia. PPU is also the acronym used to describe the primary processor, based on the Power technology, that IBM is using in their Cell processor. http://www-128.ibm.com/developerworks/power/cell/ Generally, (as in when talking with IT people, or anyone who isn't aware of the Ageia card, about this sort of stuff), it usually corresponds to the IBM usage, not the Aegia one. It most certainly is the usage that angshuman was using.
  8. A "Synergistic Processing Unit". It's a processor with a large amount of brute force but a lot less intelligence (that is why it needs an army of programmers to extract its full performance). The PS3's Cell is made up of of 1 PPU (Principal Processing Unit?) and 7 of these SPUs. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I think it's Primary Processing Unit. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Well, Primary and Principal would be synonyms in this context.
  9. I'd be surprised if the familiar got stronger if I gained levels in Barb
  10. Roleplaying requires dialouge. You need to be able to express your character in different ways through dialouge choices to simulate you speaking as your character in PnP. Morrowinds "keyword" wikisystem made that impossible <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I guess this was a new development. Must have missed the memo.
  11. For the Sheriff I used the Anaconda in the room. When we went outside, I zapped him down with the spotlight, and proceeded to fullauto is butt with the Killmatic.
  12. Maybe I'm just wierd, but I enjoy Everwood. Angel was all right, but with no Charisma Carpenter.....
  13. Fair enough. I remain optimistic, as I'd really like FO3 to kick ass.
  14. Well, I quickly finished things up today with my Malkavian. Turns out that siding with the Kuei-Jin was not all it was up to be. I was hoping for some butt-kicking for goodness, but alas it was not to be. I'm leaning a bit to a full on, intimidating brawler of a Brujah for my next playthrough, though I might take some time off before going through again.
  15. I missed the last period when 24 came on. It seems the Oilers were watching it too :D
  16. Fair enough. I still think it's silly that a separate product would really taint the memories that someone had with a different one.
  17. What games? Name one crappy game. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> The funny thing is that somehow his memories of Fallout 1 and Fallout 2 seemed to be directly tied to Fallout 3.
  18. An excellent point. IMO the term "software mode" is often misused.
  19. or that you know how to party, depending on what school you went to. The sad thing is that more and more employeers are looking for that little piece of paper, which often has nothing to do with the type of job someone is performing. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> That's because it shows dedication and determination It's tough to get that piece of paper if you spend all your college years partying. I can speak from experience.
  20. Errr, when I said Generous, I felt that they weren't strict enough. I was hoping to have all 5 violations done in a matter of minutes just running around the streets. I was hoping that they'd be a bit meaner in that regard. Most of the time it was just a scary look while playing. The one thing about playing as the Brujah, is that I can open up the intimidation tree, which I haven't really explored. And I'll probably just say screw it to guns.
  21. You can certainly play through hitman with a more action approach. Though you'll have a hard time with it.
  22. Fuel is easy to procure. Just go chat it up with the Shaq fan! I prefer the killmatic with ranged-10 though. Laugh out loud funny the first time I used it.
  23. Ah! In that case, I wouldn't play the previous ones. Chaos Theory is much more free wheeling and all that than the first two. I really enjoyed playing as the assassin, but it's still not a run and gun game though.
