  1. Oh, there is to much to list. I use Office programs for various sundries I do desktop publishing for various things. I use my computer to watch television shows, listen to music, and the such. I use it as a photocopier thanks to a scanner and my printer. I got graphic editing tools that I use on a rare occasion. I use it for communications such as the Internet and teleconferencing for long distance PnP gaming on occasion. You can't do that on a console. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> But, do you need to buy Radeon X700 Pro graphics cards to use that stuff?
  2. Does it really freaking matter if it's 5 or 6? The point is that consoles are a better value and have longer use before you have to "upgrade" and the fact PC developers are always pushing (always always always) for higher and higher specs each game they make means the target audience keeps getting smaller and smaller <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I guess an emoticon for sarcasm was required. Sorry.
  3. Curious Hades, what else do you use your computer for?
  4. I agree, Darque was a bit off. I find the typical console life expectancy to be 5 years.
  5. Ah yes. The superficial scripts and all that.
  6. What on earth have you been working on if not scripting and dialogue?
  7. I don't find combat affects my FPS too much. It typically chugs around at a constant rate. I just notice it more because my life depends on it more. I typically have no problems with 30, but once it starts dropping below that and I can easily perceive the missed frames, I start getting a headache. It's similar with the 60 Hz monitor refresh rate. You're the first person I have met that said 15 fps is a-ok for them. EDIT: Darque, my point still stands. It's been that way for years.
  8. 15 to 20 fps.... More willing to sacrifice than me I guess. I get headaches at that framerate. What card do you have though, that does 6xAA with high selected on all other settings, but doesn't support HDR?
  9. Not really, as it has been this way for many, many moons already. EDIT: A whole PC that plays Oblivion at mid-to-high detail for $600??? ....
  10. New confuser should be here on Monday!
  11. It's always possible to down the graphic details as well. I find most minimum requirements tend to be pretty spot on actually.

Heh, if they need to be THAT tight they are probably too big
  13. Sounds like an invitation to gain your trust, take you to the "shop" out in the middle of the desert, and introduce you to the dirt, Joe Pesci style.
  14. While I feel it is impractical, it certainly does not require a doubling of any information whatsoever.
  15. It's not really difficult to leap-frog over a system when you come out after it.
  16. Don't believe teh meta. He must have mistaken your processor because my experience with those dual cores has been pretty good. I'm getting the 4200+ for what it's worth, which is the next step up from your 3800+
  17. If you're too ignorant to recognize the interdependency of the world, then I can't help you. If you wish to be isolationist, then I suggest you stop using your computer, your internet. Stop eating most fruits. And so on. But hey, you have no problems reaping the benefits of it....that's the easy part.
  18. Which is easy to do, when you're in your comfy little world.
  19. Pretty easy to say from your comfy little world.

Heh, prior to the last game, Goc was like 28% in the faceoff circle. Though I wouldn't consider Edmonton to be an older team, especially down the middle.
  22. I'm sure that that is the case. In any case, if it's just about whether or not it's legal or not, why do you care?
