  1. I like the guy that wishes he had never bought an Atari 2600 back in the day.
  2. Too bad you can't do that the whole game. It was super cool to see it happen the first time.
  3. That would make more sense. Point taken with respect to the horsies. I'm not liking this trend of you smacking down my arguments with impunity. I guess it truly is you that has won the internets. And the most impressive accomplishment you made was having me convinced that I had won the internets. Excellently played maestro...excellently played.
  4. Hehe, yup. I'm scared to go play it Of course, Nova Prospekt is shortly afterwards, which is also one of my all time favourite levels in a game.
  5. No, but they just recently decided that it was a bad idea to continue to do so.
  6. Ever hear of the phrase, what have you done for me lately? :D I think it would be a poor decision to give the go ahead to allow a feature get patched into the game, that was cut from their new game.

Fernando is a darkhorse. But much like how Fedotenko didn't win it despite scoring tons of key goals for Tampa, I don't think Pisani will win. Which he's ok with. He's already enjoyed adding a definition AND example of clutch in the dictionary. It's just baby steps for the former 7th round draft pick playing for the hometown team.
  8. That's true, but my experience is that IE can drive up the temperature a degree or two. At any rate, I still have that wonkiness with FEAR. I don't everytime, but if I play it and quit, I can expect it somewhere along the line. City of Heroes doesn't have a problem. FEAR has all sorts of weird issues, though. For example, sometimes I get an error message saying that the game either cannot find or authenticate the orginal CD. Whatever the hell that means. I've been playing it again anyhow. I'm playing with my only reloads on dying. I'm actually doing better than I thought. I'm halfway through Interval 05 and I've only had one really tough area. Other than a few reloads there, I've basically been going through pretty easily. I think I'll install HL2 and see how it works. FEAR still isn't scary for me, but the battles are entertaining and I'm enjoying the game more this time around than the first run. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I didn't find it "scary," but rather "creepy/bizarre." I did enjoy it. Ravenholm has it beat though
  9. I can just imagine the fallout of an official release for NWN has rideable mounts in it, but NWN 2 didn't. It wouldn't necessarily be justified, but people have long since shown that they aren't particularly smart. As for whether or not Bioware was going to make PM for NWN2, did this come from Bioware, or from the DLA people?
  10. Scientists were also concerned with Global Cooling throughout the 70s.

It's a tossup between Roloson and Pronger in my opinion. Both have played stellar.
  12. Wouldn't that be a species?
  13. Since you brought it up you might as well suggest some.
  14. Those two are just really bad. Especially seeing as they both happened at roughly the same time. I find one tends to be more scientific (Deep Impact, and IIRC Dante's Peak), whereas the other is more actiony. I'm guessing the actiony one is the one that tried to cash in on the idea, but maybe that's just me.
  15. Ironically, I feel this only strengthens DD as a distribution method. If they can help a single person become successful, why couldn't it help small developers, or even big developers?
  16. Except that he had PS:T under the "partially" as well. I imagine he was saying that it was "partially" successful (which in the long term it was). Since PS:T is certainly not "partially" a D&D game.
  17. Don't forget about: Deep Impact Armageddon
  18. Well, Volo's warped little mind seems to not be able to comprehend why it would be an issue. So I guess there's no sense discussing it anymore. Hahahaha
  19. Fair enough. I wouldn't expect a company like idSoftware to do an RPG, since they haven't seemed to display an interest in making one (otherwise they would have, wouldn't they?). Just like I wouldn't expect Obsidian to go and make a technology pushing FPS game.
  20. What do you mean bad effect? It will keep the people that want updates for Garry's mod happy, just like it kept the people that play CS and DoD and Red Orchestra happy. Finally, only good, high quality mods will evolve to the point where there is a cost, since people won't buy ****. Slippery Slope. Slippery Slope. Slippery Slope. Slippery Slope. Slippery Slope. Slippery Slope. Slippery Slope. Slippery Slope. Slippery Slope. Slippery Slope. Slippery Slope. Slippery Slope. Slippery Slope. Slippery Slope. Slippery Slope. Slippery Slope. Slippery Slope. Slippery Slope. Slippery Slope. Slippery Slope. Slippery Slope. Slippery Slope. Slippery Slope. It's a logical fallacy and it weakens your argument. Uh huh. I mean, he's getting paid for it now, and now has additional accountability. He just absolutely has no interest in it at all now, so quality will obviously go out the window. But this makes sense. You'd rather he go and spend just as much time, energy, and money making something else for you for free. Hopefully it's of the same high quality. I'm sure little things like him having a life and whatnot shouldn't interfere. There's no need to put in a DD comment since you don't need to use DD to use either. You tried to take another shot at DD, but yet again you're firing blanks. No it doesn't. You just want it to. It just as easily points to the fact that maintaining it was becoming an expensive commitment. But hey, you have no problem if people spends hours of their time giving you something for free. You're assuming that he's stopping because he figured he was bored with the project. I guarantee he will. Now that people are actually paying for his product, they now suddenly have a right to ask for more. Now that little things like paying the bills and putting food on the table are no longer a burden.
  21. But it will spur interest in making a football game. And a quality one because you'll understand the nuances of it. The two (and much of the Bioware staff) also have a history of creating D&D stories and having tons of DM sessions.
  22. Because the 4+ years just don't count.
  23. But at the same time, they were fans of D&D.
  24. Fair enough. I think they would, you think they wouldn't. I think Obsidian would, since there obviously is some demand for it. If it makes absolutely no difference, then why did they suddenly readd it? The impression I got was that you were trying to say the criticism or whatever resulted in Obsidian's response to put the DM Client in. If it makes no difference to Atari and Obsidian, and is only a waste of resources, then why did they add it when people voiced their displeasure? It makes no sense to do it if they get zero benefit from it.
  25. Well, the only reason I can think of is that they have a blanket policy to prevent any issues with whether or not something is protected by the NDA.
