Suggestion - Fallout: New Vegas 2
What do you mean by attention? It got a lot of press, and got a good marketing campaign from Bethesda, but as far as I can understand, it wasn't a smashing sale success on that level. Still, Beth was satisfied with the performance, and they're going to keep working on the IP, that much has been made clear. I mean advertising. For me the game pretty much flew under the radar, especially compared to Skyrim.

Fallout: new Vegas: starting out
Progressing along the crit path story will help you get to areas that unlock better weapons. The Varmit Rifle and 9mm should be just fine for the early parts of the game, however. How, exactly, are you struggling? If you try heading north at the beginning, you will find VERY VERY tough battles (you're not really supposed to head that way to start)

RANDOM VIDEA GAME NEWS!
The problem with the term "doesn't take much work" is that games are made up of thousands of tasks that "don't take much work." Just because a task isn't expected to take a long time, doesn't mean that said task should be a shoo-in and that there isn't an opportunity cost for working on it. I have heard that one should not play Dark Souls without a controller, and know a few people that really enjoy it. There are certainly advantages in requiring a specific peripheral type (probably moreso for design reasons than programming reasons).

That's the whole misconception - the question is not a better but equal experience. Dead Space has been infamous for it's poor port quality and especially it's controls. Any bad PC port that dose not allow turning-off mouse acceleration is roughly equivalent to no 'invert axis' option on a console game. Mouse and keyboard are still the preferred input method for a PC and if you are not going to account for that then you should not talk about experience being 'equal' to consoles. I'd be more willing to accept this if there weren't huge lamentations about things like graphics effects and resolution support though. Though I agree that the Dead Space port is pretty junk (and it shouldn't be). I'm curious what people would think if a PC port stated that it required a game controller to be played, and if the control scheme was just ported outright.

RANDOM VIDEA GAME NEWS!
Alan that has been my single biggest disappointment in gaming, the fact that Red Dead never made it to PC. What do you mean when you said its not financially viable for Rockstar to port the game to PC? At the moment I refuse to buy a console so my policy is I don't support any game unless its on the PC Whether or not it's actually true, that's part of the motivation. I don't know the full details as to why, but it's something I heard directly from someone that worked for Rockstar.. Sucks, but c'est la vie. Devs are free to do what they want, however. Edit: Seems like other people have some better explanations as to the why.

HAHA yup! Was 0-4 against Tyson today, but was able to get him down 3 times, twice in the third, before losing to a decision. Soon!

RANDOM VIDEA GAME NEWS!
Eh, the pretty much any reason for not doing enhanced PC stuff is because, for whatever reason, it isn't deemed worth the investment. Unfortunately it can be a vicious circle (e.g. NHL series on PC, which was constantly old gen instead of next gen, so fans stopped buying it, and EA ultimately said "not worth the effort to even make a port.") I am still waiting for a PC port of Red Dead Redemption, though I know it will likely never see the light of day for the same reasons, unfortunately. On the plus side, there's no shortage of PC games coming out.

Some guy brought in his NES to work. He had Mike Tyson's Punch Out. It's been probably over 20 years since I last played that game, and I found it shocking how well I remembered each of the boxers. Picked up the controller, and made it to Tyson with no losses. Sadly Tyson KO'd me in the third round.

What are you playing now?
Yeah, you will level up a bit slower, but it seems like encounters would become nigh trivial at some point. I only have two, but there are times a third would come in very handy. Though I think you only miss out on the xp you would obtain by hitting the target directly.

Forum Update
Other issue I have noticed is copy/pasting multi-line statements. The new line/carriage return is also copied, when it probably shouldn't be (and historically wasn't). Not so much an issue if you just click on "quote" and maybe I just need to change how I do things, but here's an example with the old school [ quote] tags: Actually, looking at it now that I do this, it seems to be placing it's own carriage return based on character count as opposed to what I see on my screen.

Legally Obscene: Rape, Statutory Rape, and Child Support
It's only pointless to mention if it isn't reality. Unfortunately, it is. Someone was suggesting that men get the bum rap and gave an example. I explained why. The only pointless thing mentioned so far has been Since it's demonstrates a fantastic ability to state the obvious, in light of no one claiming otherwise.

Star Citizen seems better than Wing Commander at this point IMO. Wing Commander is old news. I have faith that Mr. Roberts will deliver on something just as great. All goes well we're hoping for a Star Citizen 2, right? It should be noted that, at the end of the day, whatever the heck Fargo and Co. end up doing, I hope it kicks ass because I always want more kick ass games. I just think that naming it Torment 2 will make it more difficult for them to achieve that for me, Allan Schumacher.

Forum Update
The big ones, ctrl-b, ctrl-i, and ctrl-u, are the ones I definitely miss. I don't know if I missed other ones. Ones like copy, paste, undo/redo, still seem to be working fine (and are perhaps controlled by the browser itself, rather than the code to support this text box). If there were other ones missing, they certainly aren't ones that I used with nearly the regularity. (although I miss the formatting ones on probably a daily basis... haha)
