  1. Slightly more complicated: if a player has both of these equipped, only Lavender Wreath's Sickening effect procs. Also, neither procs versus ranged attacks under any conditions -- that seems like it might be intended, however.
  2. Accuracy bonus also does not proc, at least under any circumstances that I've tested.
  3. Tempered Helm's Deflection penalty is suppressed by any deflection boosting items.
  4. Right, but I imagine that Achilles is saying that then Ray of Pain targeted Aloth, which it shouldn't have done (unless Aloth was confused or dominated at the time). Actually, I wonder if this is behind most cases of the Ray of Pain bug -- I imagine it's pretty easy to check if it damages allies when triggered by an enemy, but what about when it's triggered by an ally (as in, an ally causes critical damage to the person wearing the boots)? That seems to be the case discussed in the first post as well, when the Devil got a critical when switching positions with Zahua.
  5. Just to add to this, casting deleterious alacrity of motion activated eyestrike on my caster -- so perhaps it's not just aoe spells?
  6. Hey, that worked! A useful reminder to try that sort of thing. Thanks!
  7. Have you looked at the map? You need to actually open the map.
  8. Is this still on the radar for an upcoming build? I still have this problem in 3.01.
  9. https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=0B8TTqs-EA6zAczV3NVNXQjNQcDQ&usp=sharing Thanks!
  10. It shows up later if you follow the main plot, by my recollection. Someone else confirm?
  11. fun fact: you don't lose any reputation if you kill the extra ones
  12. Remembered about the extraneous network thing and so I uninstalled my ethernet controller to no avail. Additional information: core speed drops to 2.05Ghz only when the game engine is running, during loading screens it jumps right back up to 3.5Ghz.
  13. So, I definitely didn't have this problem before WM2 or 3.0, but now, whenever I run Pillars all of my cores get locked at 2.05 Ghz. Considering I haven't played since WM1, I don't know whether in the interim I've done something that would make my laptop upset, but tellingly this only happens with POE. Weirdly, I've also noticed that when I play POE, every thirty minutes or so, the screen will get dim, like it thinks I haven't been using the computer or something. I have power management set to high performance, run it as an administrator, have profiles set up with radeon, etc. I'm at a bit of a loss here. I consider myself to be relatively tech savvy (my preferred linux distribution is Arch), but this has stumped me. Note: I could use overdrive to set the clock manually, but that seems like a hassle if I'm just going to do that for POE. Further, I'm not even sure if that will work. System specs: AMD A10-5750m 2.5-3.5Ghz (8650g Graphics), Windows 10.1 64-bit, 16Gb Ram -- yes my APU meets minimum spec. I would have performance drops in the larger White March areas before, but now I'm getting single digits constantly in all but the smallest of maps. Thoughts? Random suggestions? Commiserative emoji?
  14. Aarik, could you clarify as to what the issues are that cause the cape to malfunction? For those of us who want to use it before a fix comes out. Thanks!
  15. "are discretely inquiring" ---> "are discreetly inquiring"
  16. Oh -- is there a thread discussing that? I looked around a bit and couldn't find one. It seemed like my only option for many of the visitors was to pay them off (or tell them I wasn't interested in their plight). Similarly, even the guests that I don't pay off still come back -- the drunkard, for instance. I said that I'd find him work at the Sanitarium, he said great, and then the event log shows that he'll "return in XX days". Then he returns and I need to pay him or escort him as per pre-3.0 stronghold guests. I think the same thing happened with the thief (from whom I got the Cheater's Cloak). As you say, this definitely happens with the guests that you assist solely with coin.
  17. (click get link, make sure to go to "sharing settings", then click "get shareable link" in the upper right hand corner). Edit: Ninja'd
  18. I can confirm that this happens with flails too. The Parasitic staff will proc the Graze ==> Hit quality of the flail.
