  1. Try older display drivers.
  2. Not really, but I am running Vista on this PC and I have not tried it on my XP machine yet.
  3. A virus might have infected the boot-sector of the drive, I've seen similar cases and it's damn hard to get rid of the buggers.
  4. O RLY? UR PR00F? What "new world order" - the Illuminati, Reptilians, Skull and Bones? Or is it some other top-secret club that no one, other then -for the most part- crackpots on the Internet, knows about? How about the Obsidian Forums, why cannot we be the cover for this "order?"
  5. The Elder Scrolls: Arena via DOSBox.
  6. Not by very much.
  7. Cry for the moon - Epica
  8. The manufacturer should have a database, or you could search for one on-line.
  9. Humm... You might want to try an older sound driver.
  10. I agree with Samm, the 8600 cannot compete with the 8800 - although it might be a great hold-over until you buy the other card.
  11. It looks more like Dead Squast to me...
  12. Are you on Vista? If so, I have not figured out how to make the hotkey work - however, if you are using XP, try F10.
  13. Try installing to a folder outside of the "program files" and see if that helps.
  14. Bah, I just wasted my time reading that - bad analogy.
  15. I do not know if thing have changed since my last re-certification, but if a player argues with a referee they can be yellow-carded. As for the hitting, it is normally red-carded - even though that is technically against the "laws of the game" as the officials are not part of the field of play (and thus are not covered by all of the rules and regulations that the players must follow).
  16. Try selecting another response.
  17. haha, a game I 'don't care for' is lucky as hell if it even gets one playthrough. I have not played the entire game several times, just some of it.
  18. That is a quad set-up, right?
  19. Exactly. While I find some of Yahtzee's reviews humorous, I have to say that the majority of the games he reviews would not be titles that I would ever think of buying - or, rather, I have no use for console games while I only own PCs. Also, as the moderator before me mentioned, his tastes are generally different then my own - so much so that I might actually like a game that he loathed. Mass Effect is an excellent example of this and while, due to the copy protection, I might not be purchasing that title for some time it certainly looked like the king of game that I would have enjoyed if it did not ship with the aforementioned defect. However, I would still like him to review some of my favorite games (id est S.T.A.L.K.E.R. and Bloodlines) just to see the resulting video(s).
  20. Fable... I have played the game several times and my general impression is that Peter Molyneux could not have chosen a better name for his project. He created so much hype, including many features that were never implemented -or indeed on the list to be implemented-, that he had to give a formal apology to the masses who were calling for his head on a pike, Essentially, he had created a fable of what Fable would be like, something the game could never surmount no matter how good it actually was. I, personally, did not care for it and was glad that I had only borrowed a friend's copy - but you might with to try it. Just do not expect a great RPG.
  21. That sounds like the Kotor I/II save game editor - here is a link: KSE 3.3.3
  22. One of the great things about football, soccer for those of you in the states who do not use the proper name, is the fact that it does not have the endless stoppages after every call.
  23. See if you can get your hands on a recording or catch a rebroadcast, it was a good match - although I am sad to say that I also forgot, and thus missed the first few minutes.
  24. You might want to see if your current headset can be plugged into the microphone jack on your PC or laptop, as I believe it should work. If this were the case, you could figure out if your mic was bad or if the problem was with the x-box itself.
