Hahaha you really can dream about this but let's face the truth - you don't have such power I'm afraid. Not quite. TOTJ was posed as an ancient mythology of Star Wars and was intended to show Jedi Golden Age when everything was better. This is quite popular story trick used first by Homer and recently by Tolkien.

After KOTOR I always wondered about the possibility of strategic duel between Revan and Thrawn. This is impossible of course (4000 years of time distance) but I feel bored with all those "Revan vs Vader" "Revan vs Yoda" "Revan vs George Bush" polls. People really neglect Revan as a commander and see him only as a lightsaber thug. So here you can discuss about two biggest commanders in the history of Star Wars. PS. spam like "I hate TOTJ" shall be deleted!

You are confusing things friend. Revan's tactical skills and his Force aren't intertwined. Revan was winning battles using his mind not the Force. And in fact Thrawn lost all key battles (Sluis Van, Biblringi etc) while Revan brought Mandalorians down without single defeat.

I get an impression that Bastila was sent to kill Revan shortly after Malak broke her will and he broke it by torturing her. It happens when you are on last planet. Anyways she was in bad condition no doubt.

Yoda will be brutally beaten and abused by Palpatine in upcoming EIII.

I don't know if she's more powerful than Revan (no one said this). I tend to believe that her character was based on Anakin Skywalker type of a Jedi (young, ambitious and agry) and Revan on Exar Kun (allpowerful mastermind) that's why I think that she didn't show her entire potential. All that talk about her greatness and importance reminds me what we hear in prequels about Anakin. Notice one more thing: in every duel with Revan (except first) Bastila is heavy exhausted. On Rakatan Malak send her shortly after brainwashing tortures that damaged her health, and on Star Forge she entered the fight straight from the state of Battle Meditation that was described as very exhausting and requiring great concentration. Revan on the other hand was in good condition. That leveled down her padawan abilities even more.

I'm sorry but Malak wasn't powerful than Bastila. He was just mature warrior of mandalorian wars and approached Bastila & Revan after they were tortured and exhausted by slaughtering virtually entire crew of Leviathan. That looser just took the advantage of that. Ravan/Malak/Bastila showdown is a repeat of Dooku-Obi-Anakin classic fight. Young 18 years old Bastila was fated to lost just like Anakin was fated to lost with master swordsman Dooku (only Jedi who won with Mace Windu BTW) Dear Rulius: Chronicles of the Old Republic describe Revan as Jedi Master who prepared Mandalorian defeat at malachor V. Anakin grew stronger in the Force and fully developed himself. In ROTS he will totally humiliate Dooku and slaughter ENTIRE Jedi Temple. In May we'll see his transformation into a force avatar. A pity that Bastila didn't have that chance becouse devs considered her as background character.

I simply don't accept all this NJO Jacen/chosen one blurb. And cutting force connection of wounded and tortured jedi isn't that difficult. Jacen is a good fencer but that's all.

Bastila was younger than Revan who was already a Jedi Master and has fully developed potential. That doesn't mean that she wasn't more powerful in the Force. Anakin was far more powerful than Dooku yet he lost with him becouse he was still unexperienced padawan (like Bastila) and Dooku was a master. I didn't notice any special powers in Revan either, except good tactics. Besides all this starforge-recharge stuff is a sham.

Jedi have little common with oriental classes even if they share asian faith in non-personal force that rules the universe. They're pacifists and don't consider themselves warriors.

Screwed Aribeth's story that was set straight at the end of NWN. Not to mention awful blurb about sleeping man and main character unable to find a life-partner in the entire universe. After finale I felt depressed.

Revan was better tactician than Thrawn.

I tend to see Exar as heir to Sadow. Sadow was last true Dark Lord who spent a lifetime in the sith empire and had time to learn practically everything about alchemy and magic. Exar was young and had just a one year or something to master giant amount of sith knowledge. Like Anakin fate prevented him from showing entire potential. BTW Many people seem to forget that Exar & Ulic were inspiration to Mike Gallo's Revan and Malak. Especially that subtle relation between frienship and betrayal.

Feargus and if you'd get a chance to make Icewind Dale III today, what methods and programs would be in your programmer's arsenal? Surely 2D RPGs are obsolete today (a pity indeed).
