  1. Darkest Dungeon has no excuse to not have native controller support. Other than that I'm enjoying it way more than I thought I would.
  2. I do believe this could be arranged if someone removed their cunning disguise.
  3. See? People like pineapple on their pizza! It means I'm right and all of you lot are wrong. Except for the ones liking pineapple on their pizza who are clearly the elite. When society crumbles and humanity will grasp onto the last remnants of its existence, the chosen ones who'll step up and bring mankind back to glory will be the ones who like pineapple on their pizza. Scientifically proven fact.
  4. These work fairly well for any scenario where your email gets verified and then associated with your account. Some are blocked, but usually it only takes a while to find a temporary email address which works. But yes, I should not have to do that, especially not on a bloody vacation.
  5. You and your fancy two buttons. Anyway, I can't even imagine where do 12 additional buttons fit. Does it have a little keyboard on the side or something?
  6. Hawaiian Pizza is just about the best thing ever, and it's pizza with creme sauce and pineapple. And I hate pineapple.
  7. When it comes to customization, SC2 has just about everything. I don't particularly like the game, but it should be a golden standard when it comes to options menu for PC strategy games.
  8. I might have been very slightly sarcastic. There will be in 3.0
  9. Yes, a group attack was also in the original Homeworld :-P There was a lot of stuff in Homeworld games which was inexplicably never replicated in newer strategy games. Oh well, their loss.
  10. Unit chatter is a bit of a signature of Relic games. Even in the original Homeworld, there was stuff like harvesters saying something along the lines of "Too many collectors fleet, expect delays" when they get held up in a line in front of resource dropoff points, having different chatter of being out of combat, in combat, being heavily damaged etc. It was really impressive for the time and still is - not to mention useful for gameplay. They pretty much brought this to perfection with Dawn of War 2 where your soldiers will inform you of which unit they encountered and are even capable of saying things like "... advancing along a tank" "... in heavy cover" and such. It's such a neat touch and provides you with essential gameplay information too.
  11. So as a veteran of BG + TSC + BG2 + TOB you're asking for a different option to reduce difficulty to be introduced instead? I mean clearly the game has been rebalanced to accommodate for immunities with their introduction.
  12. Yeah, that's pretty much why difficulty options exist. No shame in enjoying a game on lower difficulty rather than giving up on it on higher one.
  13. The point about a lot of characters essentially being lore dispensers is an excellent one, and is one of my big beefs with the game's writing. And it's not because of the dumb argument of "Nobody talks like that" as nobody ever talks like characters in literature, it's because it takes away a part of their often carefully written characterization to dump a bunch of information on player's head. Other than that tho, the reason why I like fantasy as a genre is to explore new and interesting worlds. Sure, Pillars of Eternity took a bit more traditional approach, but I liked the themes it explored trough its lore, the world's history and various nationalities. And the best thing is that this lore eventually ties into the main plot and understanding of the lore becomes essential to fully understand main storyline itself. So when it comes to that aspect of the game, I'm definitely a fan. The reason why I still don't particularly dig Dragon Age Origins is precisely because I feel like delving into its lore is completely pointless. There are some mildly interesting aspects but nowhere close to what Pillars presents.
  14. The game has been in Early Access for quite a while now and developers were actively working on it, so it's quite possible developers introduced a feature said player strongly disliked and stopped playing the game there, thus the negative recommendation.
  15. Gameplay video of Deserts of Kharak. Warning: TotalBiscuit. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BYRibkfPXM0&ab_channel=TotalBiscuit,TheCynicalBrit It looks ... Ok I suppose. I mean I guess a lot of gameplay elements from Homeworld actually transferred and Homeworld approached space like desert a lot more than traditional sea equivalent, buuut it still feels weird. I guess I'll wait for some reviews especially concerning the campaign as that'll most likely be my main potential deal breaker. I'm also not a fan of what seem to be fairly small maps - long distance logistics were always a big deal in Homeworld games. Units also seem way too bullet spongy. Oh well. Anyway, apparently, the game was supposed to be Homeworld game from the getgo but the studio failed to acquire license, Gearbox allowed them to use it later on tho.
  16. Let's hope that was his first and last one then! You can tell him a dude on the interwebz wishes him best of luck.
  17. XCOM complete + Civ III complete + Civ IV complete + Civ V for 8 bucks over at Humble Bundle. Amazing deal, literally hundreds of hours of entertainment. Also, 12 bucks for Alien: Isolation is worth it alone and yes, you get to keep the game even if you unsubscribe immediately. + some other games. Eh.
  18. melkathi, you're doing an extremely good job on at first selling me on that game and now continuously make me think I never even want to play it :-P
  19. Thanks. I'm actually kinda used to pets dying, with rats living 2-3 years and all. But it sucks nonetheless.
  20. You're on the internet. Of course people are raging. About everything.
  21. Not only can you really play just about anything on normal, Obsidian also constantly patches the game and changes balance, so just about any balance advice you can find online older than a couple of months is probably outdated and useless.
  22. Burying our bunny. Who just died. He was fine yesterday, suffocated from lung infection today. Bloody yay. Vet assures me that our rats can't contract the same infection, but somehow it doesn't make me less nervous.
  23. Teh graphixx are fantastic, no doubt about it and to be fair, theme and graphixx were why I bought the game too. But the combat feels extremely limited and gets very old very fast. The game's also extremely unfair, but I suppose that's a bit of a staple of these procedurally generated games - still, it feels a lot more irritating in a turn-based strategy game format. I liked it for a few hours tho, so ... Eh.
  24. Bedlam recently got a patch which overhauled most of its mechanics. It's still not very good mind you, but it's ... Better.
