When the game says that men and women have equal physical abilites this is in the context of the player characters. These are not average people. Pallegina is not an average woman. She can indeed be stronger than many men. So it is a convenience to just say that men and women have the same physical abilities rather than trying to be more realistic and look for ways to balance them by giving the men more max strength and women - more max dexterity or something like that, so that they are balanced in the end. For me, this is the source of the confusion and people thinking that men and women should be considered equally strong in fantasy games.

Wait a minute. You are saying that it is indeed possible to overstock medical supplies and simply lose money as a result? Didn't know that. If this is so, this needs to be fixed regardless of whether it is a bug. To cause such frustration isn't a good idea. Yes you can overstock (or in other words throw money in the sea) and it makes sense considering there is a limit that depends on your ship. All that is required is simply paying a little attention to the resources that are already in your hold and adjust your purchases accordingly. My advice don't stack to the limit (it's almost impossible to run out of resources anyway) because you will be able to pick some supplies on the map. Yes, it is not a big problem. I just worry about the new players. This can cause confusion and even if it is a small thing, it is better if the UI just prevents you from selecting a larger amount than what you have room for.

I have thought that they could release a DLC that keeps all the side quests and companions but removes the main quest. Instead of the main quest there can be goals, like becoming king of Huana tribes and uniting them. Or becoming director of Valian Trading company and forcing the natives into submission. The four factions politics are already there. This way the players will be able to choose whether they want to play a RPG or a strategy game. Or both.

The whole post was basically a question. Nothing in the post is aggressive. Nothing in it deserves such a response. Just tell them that you do not like this particular idea. Tell who? The troll that posted once and then never reappeared in the thread? Give me a break. I would never reappear in a thread after such a response. Aww diddums! Seriously. Why would I want to talk to people who insult me on sight? Without knowing nothing about me?

You started with a good approach and then ruined it all with that one silly sentence. I fail to see how these are appropriate responses for something like this. OP just shared an idea, maybe not very well thought out. Since when is that to be shamed and discouraged? What happened with the notion that there are no dumb questions, only dumb answers?

6th party character

Another goal was to reduce micromanagement. Josh Sawyer explained that the decision to reduce party size had to be taken when the custom AI system didn't yet exist or wasn't developed enough. Pathfinding for me is a practically solved problem but because of the engine changes, not because of the reduced party size. I mean this specific problem where a unit couldn't manage to get close enough to its target and started to run around all the combatants instead. This was especially annoying for me. Picture clarity is still a problem. I hoped that visual effects would be toned down significantly more. All in all, retrospectively, it seems that the party size reduction wasn't really necessary. -
Triggered

Spoting, it is understandable that you are frustrated with the bugs. It is also understandable that you want to punish a company for doing something that you consider unethical. However, are you really certain that Obsidian is the right target for such punishment? This is a company that focuses on making niche games which generally don't bring huge profits. It was even on a brink of a financial collapse not so long ago. It doesn't have the means of the larger game studios that also release buggy games. One goal of these RPGs is to give the player as much freedom as possible - which means great possibilities for bugs. To find all those bugs on time, they are going to need an army of testers. Can you really compare 30 or 50 testers to 30 or 50 thousands of players? Who is going to find more bugs? To me, and probably to other Obsidian fans, it seems that these attempts to punish Obsidian are simply misguided. That they aren't going to teach companies to be more ethical but will make it even harder to produce this kind of RPGs. Please also consider the fact that these isometric RPGs simply weren't made for like 10 or more years. Game publishers were convinced that there's no point to make them. I hope you can understand why such complaints can be taken as irksome. They can feel like attacks on the very existence of this kind of RPGs. Of course, this is probably overreaction - and yet we are hoping to get PoE 3 and this is not a sure thing. It depends on the success of Deadfire. -
Update #48 - What's Next?
wih replied to Mikey Dowling's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire Announcements & News
Great. So it is impossible to know what someone means when using that word without asking for definitions first. Nah, if the word is used in a gaming or MMO context, this is always the meaning I found a counterexample From Deadfire ability tree no less. Mob Stance "The fighter changes to a more aggressive stance, apt for handling groups of enemies. " -
In PoE 1 expansions were middle game. Many people assumed that the expansions continued the story and were disappointed. It was possible to load your "almost final" save and go play the White Marches though. I think the planned DLCs will be just additional content to the main game in Deadfire. More islands or dungeons probably. Since they are now called DLCs, hopefully less people will assume they are a continuation of the story.
