  1. Well, there's nothing stopping you from beating the game to get the achievement, then getting the Redeemer upgraded. Until then, yeah, you'll have to keep it unupgraded.
  2. Are you referring to the constructs in Galvino's house by any chance? There's a known glitch where sometimes their deflection and accuracy spikes to ridiculous levels whenever you reload in there.
  3. Around level 7/8, with some high level encounters sprinkled in. If you have a high level party the game will also ask if you want to scale the content up.
  4. Constant Recovery absolutely needs some form of scaling with level. Early on it's extremely potent, but right now my Eder has about 350 endurance, and it's barely even noticeable. By the same token, the fighter multiclass talent needs some scaling as well.
  5. I've been going through the gameplay files, and it turns out this choice affects the (regular) ending of the game.
  6. Okay, so, I was looking through the game's conversation files to see how much banter there was for the 2 new companions, and it looks like there is a personal quest for Zahua planned in the future. If you don't want to be spoiled on it, I highly recommend NOT looking through those files.
  7. The confusion on crit counts as 9 enchantment slots, which seems a bit excessive. Still, I imagine it would be pretty killer on an accuracy/crit focused ranger.
  8. Yeah, it should have dropped alpine dragon scales or something that function the same as adra scales. Here's the bow, by the way. Not using beta patch or anything :
  9. I found the encounters within the White Marches to be about what I'm used to. Cragholdt was noticeably more difficult though, and I absolutely loved it. Probably the best part of the entire expansion.
  10. I disagree strenuously. There was nothing worse than having to cast 5 different dispel abilities before your physical characters could even function in a fight X_X Happy to help!
  11. Yeah, he often will. If you're going to be micromanaging all of your party members, you should definitely have all class behaviors on off. If you mostly want to control a single character, though, the AI should be decent enough to get by on normal.
  12. Lets hear your strategy. Please. I'm all ****in' ears. Sure. This strategy has allowed me to consistently defeat dragons on hard difficulty across two playthroughs (my character was a wizard in the second playthrough, so I just swapped in Pallegina for the paladin role, and took out Aloth).
  13. When I kept losing against really difficult fights, I adjusted my strategy and was able to win pretty consistently. You might want to try that instead of choosing to save scum and then complaining about it.
  14. Try using the spell Suppress Afflictions.
  15. You don't need a string, just a Silver Arrow. It's on a wolf or something in Russetwood.
  16. I meant alpine is immune to cold and adra immune to corrode. Whoops. Yeah, the initial effect always "lands" similar to how you can't miss on Paladin's Sworn Enemy or Ranger's Marked Prey.
  17. The immunities they added were mostly elemental ones. Adra dragon is immune to corrode, Alpine is immune to cold, Sky to electricity, etc. Dragons can still be affected by prone, stun, paralyze, and petrify. Which is a good thing for me, since most my dragon slayer strategies involve that. Anyway, I did some more testing on Concelhaunt's Crushing Doom, and it seems to have some issues. It lasts a base of 10 seconds, but this increases with int. My Aloth could cast it with a duration of 14 seconds. In those 14 seconds the hammer attacked a total of 6 times (so a bit slower than 1 hit every 2 secs), with base damage starting around 20, and ending around 50. The accuracy increased with each hit... but the problem is its base accuracy was phenomenally low. I had Aloth test this ability against Eder. The first hit had an accuracy of 76, and the last hit had an accuracy of 101. The problem is, when I cast any other spell on Eder, the accuracy was 100. So even though the hammer gets more accurate, its starting accuracy is so low it hardly seems to matter. The prone effect can still be useful, but it uses the same base accuracy.
  18. Now that is an awesome idea: spells only learnable through unique grimoires. Sounds like a cool spell, too. IDK how it would compare to a druid's Relentless Storm, though. Maybe better for single target but worse for AoE? Basically, yeah. Since the accuracy keeps increasing it's not bad against enemies like dragons. Unfortunately the precise numbers aren't shown on the tooltip, so I might have to play around with it for a bit to see how good it is. I would like to mention that Concelhaunt himself used this ability against me, and it was quite painful for poor Aloth.
  19. When you fully upgrade them, I believe the soulbound weapons become superior quality, which makes a lot of them very useful, like Stormcaller. Unfortunately, due to current scaling issues, unless you pick the weapons up early, there may not be enough enemies left in the game for you to unlock all their powers.
  20. Well, it might make sense that you wouldn't be able to sacrifice the Devil. She's not technically alive, and all that. I would love to get some kung fu action out of absorbing Zahua though
  21. The guy above me explained where to get the staff. You get the mace in the second level of Durgan's Battery. You need to find all 3 sigils hidden in the area, then put them in the corresponding wall slots in the grand hall. After that you'll be able to loot the soulbound mace.
  22. My tests have the same results. No scaling whatsoever. Combined with the defender nerf, fighter is probably the worst of the melee combatants right now. Their high engagement llimit with defender is nice, but at higher levels enemies seem to feel fine taking disengagement attacks so that they can go for the real targets.
  23. Hmm, I'll test out if the recovery scales, then. It's too bad it doesn't show how much in the description. Maybe a solution to the wizard talent could be that the spell it grants becomes increasingly powerful as you level? Since it's per rest, I don't think that would be excessively overpowered.
  24. I'll be honest; I completely forgot why Zahua is even in the party. He's not a bad character, exactly, he just doesn't feel appropriate to the theme of White Marches. It makes sense, I guess, a similar monk character was planned for the base game but eventually scrapped; it sort of feels like they just forced him into this expansion. Does he even have a quest? He hasn't given me one.
  25. Ah, it was hidden. You have to go into search mode, and look around the area a bit. Till a purple block appears. Yeah, there was nothing in the hidden block. Guess I already did this. Thanks
