  1. You must have dropped your weapons when handmaiden asked you to. That dialog option causes the bug. If you do not drop your weapons (you can say anything, except drop them) you will trigger dialog from kriea and the story will advance. DONT DROP YOUR WEAPONS. SAY ANYTHING ELSE TO HANDMAIDEN.
  2. KOTOR 1 is a blast playing dark side, but KOTOR 2 sucks when your darkside. Everyone hates you, no one will talk to you if you have dark side corruption. You have to use force persuade to get anything done. They just didnt make the game fun for darkside.
  3. Be careful with bao dur. Sometimes when I equip him with something he cant wear the game crashes when I close the equip screen. I know what the problem is. The graphics of his arm conflicts with the armor. The bug is that I should not be able to equip it in the first place. The most frustrating thing about KOTOR 2 is not the incomplete ending but the crashes and bugs that force you to reload the game.
  4. I never train anyone. There are enough jedi in the party already and I think it weakens the others. They are only semi-strong in their original class and become only semi-strong as a jedi (if you do not use cheats to level up). Also, I think one of the best new feats is precise shot. You cant give them a very high precise shot if they become jedi and switch to lightsabers.
  5. Once HK is up and running, and you have the pacifist package in your inventory, talk to him. You should see a dialog option to upgrade him.
  6. Other items that are missing in part 2 is all of the baragwin items. I guess they thought starforge and baragwin items were too powerful.
  7. As soon as you can move, run behind the bar. Once postitioned, only one of the assasins can attack you at a time. You can blast them one at a time.
  8. Instead of insulting masta revan, why not try to be helpful? I checked the KOTOR 2 support page on lucasarts.com. They suggest the following: Make sure there is at least 200MBytes of free space on the hard drive after installation, for paging. Make sure all other applications are closed (screensavers, virus protection). Make sure you have directx 9.0c installed. Check the play disc for scratches or other damage. Finally, you may have a corrupt installation. Uninstal and reinstal the game. I hope that helps.
  9. Do you guys have the xbox version of KOTOR 1? You can equip npcs in the first game in exactly the same way you do it in KOTOR 2 on the ebon hawk. In fact, its a little harder to equip them in KOTOR 2 because you have to have the cursor exactly on the right spot to change characters on the equip screen.
  10. I dont even bother. In the first game it was so difficult beating the best time that it is just pure stupidity to make the races even harder in the second game. Maybe in KOTOR 3 they can make the races totally impossible.
  11. I have the PC version, I have not downloaded anything from team gizka, and I have finished all the quests on Nar Shadda. You have to do this planet perfectly, in the perfect order, in order to finish all of the quests. If you dont do it exactly right, the game will progress (you can tell by the cutscenes) and some missions will cause the problem you are having (instead of finishing the quest they repeat the same lines over again). The fuel mission can be completed if you head to the docks first, talk to the guy who is competing for motta's fuel and then go in and talk to motta. The hardest mission to complete on this planet is the speeder. You have to get all of the parts before talking to the exchange. It will be destroyed after you talk to them. Next time I play I'll write a walkthrough for nar shadda. It can be done.
  12. I have played the game a number of times. I always get the guy to tell me about the compartments. I have never seen or opened any secret compartments. I wonder if that is a problem with the PC version.
  13. You dont NEED to play KOTOR 2 NecroDOS. But, this is about having fun, not fulfilling needs.
  14. So where are they? You are the only person to find the escaped criminals while working for the ithorians. To finish the quest you have to help Jana Lorso, then the criminals will be close to where you land. If they are appearing for you then you have something wrong with your game. If you help the ithorians, the escaped criminals become ordinary mercenaries. To finish the quest you have to lie to Lt Gren when you return to telos.
  15. All of those quests are completable except the missing criminals and finding batono. After speaking to Lt Gren, go to the store right next to the cantina and ask the guy on the right side about the modified blaster. That will advance you in the smuggling quest. At the docking bay, where the shuttles are, ask the guy standing behind the computer at the czerka dock about batu rem. For 25 credits he will tell you the info you need to complete the quest. The escaped criminals can only be caught if you help czerka. You can make a deal with Jana Lorso to land you right where the criminals are. Since you helped the ithorians you cannot complete that mission. You can find batono by speaking to the czerka guard at the czerka dock about batono. You have to do this before you help the ithorians. Jana Lorso will tell you to look at the ithorian compound where you have to persaude choto habat to tell you his location. Since you are helping the ithorians Jana lorso will not speak to you or help you in any way.
  16. I dont think obsidian ever even bothered to game test the swoop tracks. The races in KOTOR 1 were barely beatable (to beat the best time you could only miss one warp ramp at the most). Making the races even harder is just plain stupid. Has anyone on this forum actually beat all the races in KOTOR2? I havent met a single person who has.
  17. Perhaps, or maybe HK was trying to divert the attention of the mining droids by fixing the EH instead of fixing the vents <{POST_SNAPBACK}> He didnt need to divert the droids. The maintenance officer installed voice print controls on all the droids. HK controled them by mimicking the guys voice. He had complete control of all the droids. They did whatever he commanded. The astro drift charts, the ebon hawk, what he was waiting for is just holes in the story that the developers never cleaned up.
  18. If you raise your security too high you will be able to open locked doors that should be impossible (because they open later in the quest). If you are going to raise your skills, none of them need to be higher than 50.
  19. HK along with everybody else assumed kriea was dead. The astrogation chart was locked and remained locked, hiding revans movement. The only place in the astrogation chart was telos. If you assume that telos was also locked in then that goes back to the original question: if hk could not use the ebon hawk and was waiting for pick up, why did he have it repaired? The bugs in this game are not just technical, there are bugs in the story as well. I'll answer the question for you. HK repaired the ebon hawk because you need it to continue the game. The game designers just assumed that no one would look at this part so closely.
  20. That is a bug in the game. The only way you can screw up is when handmaiden asks you to drop you weapons, you do it. You cant fix it. You can only reload a saved game. Next time she tells you to drop your weapons, say anything, just dont drop them. By not dropping your weapons you trigger kreia's dialog and the game will work fine.
  21. no, here i was referring on Perargus, not the prologue... HK repaired the EH (reprogramming some droids) and killed all the miners, it was able to take the exile and carry s/he on the EH and flee from perargus or, knowing the Harbringer was behind them to help him/her escape on the hawk instead to tell him/her to go in the tank. note that when it happened the harbringer alredy docked to perargus and was obvious that, if exile followed HK suggestions s/he had been captured by siths. That is the point of the game that makes no sense. If he was not waiting for the HK-50s to arrive then why didnt he leave as soon as the ebon hawk was repaired? If he was planning to leave on the ebon hawk, why didnt he go as soon as the miners were dead, what was he waiting for? There are a lot of holes in the story and this is one of them. The only thing that is certain is that HK is not working for the sith or he would have immedietely killed lthe exile and not went through all that trouble. The astro-drift charts is another hole in the story. If they are constantly being updated and transmitted, then the charts on the harbinger would be no good, and the ebon hawk could have downloaded them in transit. I really like kotor 2. I think its more to play than the first one, but the problem is the storyline. When you look closely you see a lot of loose ends and parts that dont make sense. And, darth sion was using the force to fly, otherwise, why even have that movie?
  22. HK-50 could not escape in the ebon hawk for two reasons. First, the harbinger fired on it damaging the hyperdrive, and second because he was locked in a storage compartment. HK-50 wanted the exile incapacitated in the kolto tank because he is probably waiting for the other HKs to arrive. (A team of HKs are following the exile as you see on Telos). Darth Sion was using the force to fly the harbinger (as you see in the movie). That is how he passed through the asteroid field. There is a conversation between all the bounty hunters on nall hutta. It sounds like the HKs were hired by, not built by, goto.
  23. when you feel like you have really accomplished something important when you finally figure out the ending.
  24. HK-50s are definitely not made by or working for the sith. The sith want all of the jedi dead and kill on sight. HK-50 clearly states that he needs the exile alive. Didnt any of you guys talk to hk-50 on peragas? He explains everything. He even asks you to get back into the kolto tank.
