I thought it was because he wasn't sure if it was going to be sucessful, so he started with 4 since it could be stand-alone and won't leave an excessive amount of loose ends like the others would.

Whatever became of the Jedi council on Dantooine and the High Council on Coruscant, it is known at least that they are NOT on either of those two planets. Or at least not in the Jedi Temple. If any of them are still alive, they'd probably be in the Outer Rim anyway........

Well, in KOTOR1, a Soldier can become a Sentinel or Consular, so I don't see why a Jedi Guardian in KOTOR2 couldn't become a Sith Lord or Jedi Watchman.

Consular all the way. And one thing ive been meaning to ask is: Is sentinal good? never tried it. It's not as bad as people claim. If it's improved in KOTOR2 I might just start as Sentinel instead of Guardian.

There is no Council (at least not functional). The academy on Dantooine was destroyed and the temple on Coruscant is abandoned.

Jedi Masters should be able to absorb offensive Force powers like Lightning & Drain. (like Yoda)
