I really would like to see dark jedi using some lightsaber colors OTHER than red. In KOTOR, they all used red except for one or two who used a purple blade.

How would you compare movie (or EU) characters to the existing Jedi classes (and prestige classes)? My views: Jedi Guardian: Obi-Wan Kenobi: Primarily used lightsaber (with the occassional mind trick), used direct approaches like jumping out of a window to grab an assassin droid, attempted to apprehend Jango Fett on Kamino launchpad by approaching him, etc. Jedi Sentinel: Anakin Skywalker: Used more elaborate tactics like leaping from a speeder to land on a fleeing assassins speeder 200 ft. below, sneaked past tusken guards to find his mother (even though he killed them all afterwards), etc. Jedi Consular: Qui-Gon Jinn: Tried diplomatic approaches before drawing his lightsaber (except when ambushed), "negotiated" deals with the junk dealer Watto, etc. Jedi Master: Yoda: Had extreme grasp of the Force, used lightsaber as absolute last resort when diplomacy or his mastery of the Force didn't work, basically a "super Consular" Jedi Watchman: Luke Skywalker: Learned much from other Jedi, instructed a new generation of Jedi, used various tricks & tactics to solve problems (freeing himself from ice in Wampa cave, force choking Gamorrean guards, having R2-D2 smuggle his lightsaber, etc.), often did things alongside his stiupids (as opposed to Yoda who mostly sat on his ass ), essentially a "veteran Sentinel" Jedi Weapon Master: Mace Windu: Possessing extreme lightsaber skills, took initiative against the Seperatists, but learned enough to make time for some diplomacy (even if it's "aggressive negotiations"), ultimately an "experienced Guardian" Sith Lord: Darth Sidious: An embodiment of the Darkside of the Force, always does things by putting up other groups (Trade Federation, Darth Maul, Count Dooku, his Imperial forces, Darth Vader, etc.) into fulfilling his dirty work instead of doing it himself, directly manipulates millions of people with either the Force or clever diplomacy (i.e. his political career as "Palpatine" ), when the above two methods don't work he uses terrifying displays of the Darkside to utterly destroy things Sith Assassin: Darth Vader: Tends to accomplish tasks by using subtle tactics and then going in for the kill, like sending probe droids to find the Rebel Base, and then leading a whole army to take over their base, or hiring a bounty hunter to track down a certain ship when his own fleet couldn't find it, and following the bounty hunter to the location so he set up a trap for his real target (of course despite the name "Sith Assassin" the target doesn't necessarily have to be killed...at least not physically ) Sith Marauder: Darth Maul: Accomplishes tasks in a direct manner and possesses extreme martial talent (in this case mastery of double-bladed lightsabers), chased down Qui-Gon Jinn on Tatooine and directly attacked him, engaged the Jedi when they returned to Naboo, etc. Note: Some characters could be compared to getting a prestige class in KOTOR2: Obi-Wan Kenobi (in Ep. 4) seemed like Guardian ---> Watchman (used more stealthy and subtle tactics in ANH, whereas he was more direct in Ep. 2) Mace Windu seems like Consular ---> Weaponmaster (he remained diplomatic while he was a senior member of the Jedi Council, but when the Clone Wars started he showed his combative side, taking down even Jango Fett with his sheer lightsaber skills) Count Dooku seems like Sentinel ---> Master ---> Sith Lord (but you can't do that in KOTOR2 so it doesn't count).

The Sith that Exar Kun led was more of a cult than an empire. After Exar Kun was defeated, the Sith became dormant while the Republic & Jedi were recovering. Of course, 40 years later Revan & Malak starts things up again. I think the Sith Academy on Korriban was there before Revan & Malak first set foot there in search of the Star Map, and they were introduced to the Sith cult at that point in their quest for the Star Forge. This is why 1/3rd of the armada sent to fight the Mandalorians became the Sith's armada.

Well, I hope that Jedi Sentinel/Watchman & Sith Assassin are balanced and all have something truly unique that doesn't make any of them disadvantaged like Sentinel in KOTOR.

New Light Saber Colours?
Topaz Quasar replied to Naver Drol This's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Well, if it's a female Sith Lord with a Pink Lightsaber..........would it be any less intimidating? Though wouldn't a pink lightsaber be murder on the eyes? -
New Light Saber Colours?
Topaz Quasar replied to Naver Drol This's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Orange & Teal are the best ones they could add. They could try pink, but who all would use it? The "orange" Heart of the Guardian you could get at the Yavin station was really red with a yellowish core. I personally would like a lighter orange similar to JK2/Jedi Academy. -
Will we see the Selkath in KOTOR2......as a Sith-processed canned food? :D
-
Will the Jedi Sentinel's flaws from KOTOR be corrected in this game? (this goes for balance of Watchman & Sith Assassin....we hope....)
-
I know what this game needs.
Topaz Quasar replied to Maria Caliban's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Well, when female Revan & dark side Bastila had overthrown Darth Malak............. -
I'm guessing that would boost your attack & speed....unless it's not the same as JK2/JK3's "Dark Rage" ability..........

You "forgot" to use the force? oh, come on....
Topaz Quasar replied to Meshugger's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Where exactly did they even say "forgot" how to use the Force? The only thing I've heard was "out of touch" with the Force, and that wasn't even in an official statement. Perhaps we should wait and see what they mean when KOTOR2 is out. -
Questions the the Devs - Take 2
Topaz Quasar replied to EnderAndrew's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
1. Since the main character begins as a Jedi class, will each (Guardian, Sentinel, Consular) have characteristics of Soldier/Scout/Sentinel (like the armor & weapon feats of Soldier for Guardian, etc.)? 2. Even though the character is a bit "out of touch" with the Force do we get to choose a Force Power (or two) at creation? 3. Will Force Powers (not just Force Feats) be restricted by class? (e.g. powers only Jedi Master or Sith Lord can learn) -

Why are 99% of Twi'leks green?????
Topaz Quasar replied to Bantha Fodder's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Well its 4000 years ago on 7 particular planets; maybe green twi'leks were just common at that time & places. -
I'd like to see a lighter orange (like in Jedi Academy) and an aqua colored lightsaber.
