There are no voice overs for Kaah as of yet. We will be calling for actors later on in the project once everything is tied down... if you really want to see something of the Kaah dialogue then look in the dialog.tlk file. Not all that we want is there though so we will most probably be making adjustments and the likes... We already found grammtical errors .

That would be correct. You arrive on the planet and then it transpires that all the zones have been filled with some sort of radiation. You then must send GOTO, T3, or HK into the Central zone to find out what has happened and hopefully stop the radiation leak... but how we will do it I'm not telling . P.S. I'm loving the smilies on this board!

I believe we were considering something similar a while ago but it does have some fundamental changes involved . The original settlers' identities, I believe, are a mystery to us. The Sith happen to stumble across the planet (Through a series of events that I will not go through now "), and they masquerade as the planet's settlers/colonists. And that is all I will say... You will have to wait for more... and more will come... in time.

The stuff moved to Nar Shaddaa is far too integrated into the story to change anything it is for that reason that we have to create our own puzzels and the likes but that shouldn't be too difficult. If you have any ideas for them then please don't hesitate to post them! Every little helps . <_< Korriban? Bah! Korriban, so far as we can tell, was always intended to be some sort of bridge to M4-78 - it wasn't added in at the last moment because it has possibly the best intro film in the game! But M4-78 will not be like Korriban, no. You will have many different side quests to perform as you do on all the other planets as well as the main plot-line. Edit: And while we on the team are honoured that you wish this thread to be stickified (We really are! Is this some sort of sticky request record?) I think we should leave the requests to a minimum, guys - we don't want to be eaten now, do we? I don't know, perhaps you do... But thanks for your kind words!

Well, after searching through the .TLK file we found that there wasn't actually any more planned voicing for Vash (So far as we know...). There is, however, enough to suit the planet's "Endgame." The original reason for not revoicing Vash was that revoicing her for the sake of adding those new lines in would have moved this further away from being a restoration. Believe me, you wont be dissapointed with the ending we have planned for Vash! I hope...

Well, yes the stories are true

TSL Restoration Project: The Phantom Deadline

Jedi_Holocron is still alive? By jove! Congrats to all who have made it to the beta team! -
I used to have the install problem but I have recently torn everything out of my computer and put new components in so I don't seem to get it any more. The way I got around it was: I saw the 1 in the error message and (Random Logic bit) so I took the CD out then placed CD one in and clicked either Continue or Try again, I forget which, and it whirs then asks for the next CD. I was really frightened when I got this at first as it was on the first day of release, I had preordered and everything! So once the terrible install was over with I loaded up and it worked fine. Better than fine! Perfectly. I encountered the usual weird bugs and (A total out of my 8 playthroughs) one game crash, but nothing like you are describing. You may wish to uninstall and reinstall using my random way - it works for some reason. Now because I updated everything recently and the problem went away I can't really tell you what is causing it. However, I do hope that my ramble has given you a means of correcting the problem.

Can you be a little more specific? If you have been warping out of conversations or cut-scenes by typing "warp lalalalalaaaaaaaaa" then it does mess up your game so far as being able to use menus and items is concerned. Does this happen in a specific location? What exactly can you not do?

Green and Purple graphics where they shouldn't be
Pavlos replied to hawk's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I find that it is to do with the quality settings in your graphics card if it is Nvidia. Setting them down to performance produces this effect. I have no idea why. -
Not really but I got a save off one of my friends anyway so I'm ok now. Thanks for helping anyway!
-
For something that I am working on I require two save games- if you don't mind getting them for me: A save game once you get the tasks off of Atris and also one after you gain Visas in your party. Anyone who has those save games or is doing a playthrough could you please either send them to me, at kylekatarn35 at hotmail.com, or upload them onto a file server for me to download. This would be much appreciated, thank you.

Yes make sure you go into regedit after uninstalling and delete all files relating to Nvidia - unless you have an Nforce mobo and then it gets a bit confusing so it is best to leave it. I have a 6800 Ultra and the game runs perfect for me on 16x AF 4x AA and 1280x1024 with everything else turned off. If you want to improve performance with it get Fraps and check different settings effects on FPS. Also you will want to chane something in swkotor.ini which will improve the FPS by quite a bit: 16 3D voices and 24 2D voices reduces the richness of the game but improves fps and set Disable Vertex Buffer Objects to 1.

TSL Restoration Project: Work in Progress

Well I'm judging from what you see in the M4-78 modules of incompleteness the modules that have been restored cannot be as bad at the moment but they would probably be littered with pullchains and game programmer notes still -
^^^ Yes the mysterious random item generator. How many Bindo's Bands did I get?
-
I'm sorry but i really don't know, try sending an email to Obsidian- doubt they'll answer but they might. The errors you had during installation may mean your discs are messed up.
-
Eeek! I'd better be careful then! So still, no one knows why there is a nun there?
-
Did you follow my advice for the installation or was it a different problem. I have never had this problem, have you checked that your card is supported?
-
I'm not sure if this is the problem I used to have. I have changed everything in my computer lately, new mobo graphics acrd harddrive etc. and it works fine now. What you want to is when it says that there is an error please insert disk with file blah blah, take out the CD that is in the tray and put Disc one in and click continue, wait until the disc stops whirring away to do this as otherwise the installation will freeze. Then Once the new cd is in wait until that stops whirring before clicking continue, the installer should then come up with the message insert CD x and you just do this process evey time you get the error in the installation. That should install it properly and you will be set. If it doesn't I'll have a look for you at my old mobo and harddrive (I'm pretty sure that is where the problem lies, can't see why) - which I gave to my dad- and install the game on that setup and see what I used to do in the installation- it became instinctual actually. DO NOT CLICK ON RETRY though, it will freeze up.

I have decided to open this up to both genders, seeing as how everywhere I post this I get, "I have a mic but I'm a guy," etc. etc. So if you have good mics then please send that test line to me and I'll see what you can do.

Sorry didn't read the bit about the ship, i was skim reading.

Things that went wrong with this game
Pavlos replied to ShadowCaster's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
There is a lot of philosophy in Star Wars. It employs archetypal motifs common to both science fiction and classical mythology, we have the half truths of Ben; what are they there for? Are they there to protect Luke or to protect Ben's pride? The whole good vs evil idea is philosophy, in the prequels we see Palpatine turning a republic into an empire, that is exactly what Plato said could easily happen, in Plato's Republic (He didn't much liek democracy so he'd probably be pleased with Palpidious) And I liked the influence system, sure it was a tad bit under developed but it became sort of a mini-game. When playing LS it was always, "How do I gain influence with Kreia without DS points?" I personally think that if I had to make a choice between Obsidian and Bioware making KotOR III I'd select Obsidian, they had a brilliant idea and not enough time to implement it. -
Royal Palace Problem- is my game over?
Pavlos replied to Brolsy's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Yes you need to find that Twilek, "Slicer," first before you can do anything. -
Ahh well I'm not really a funny guy that is why I write books that are serious and have ridiculously complex plots which publishers say will get very nice critical acclaim but wont appeal to the mass market so goodbye. Oh the woes of my life And I will now procede to recite Caesar, "With peace established on these terms, three days after we arrived in Britain, the eighteen ships (about which mention has been made before) set sail from a more northerly port on a gentle wind." A word to the wise, never translate Caesar's war account : Bellum Gallicum. He is an obsequious fool who thought it would make him look good to write in the third person and blame everything on the Barbarians or the moon being a fool one, "That smae night it happened that there was a full moon, the day which usually produced high sea tides in the ocean."
