  1. I have had the same problem. AI stopped working on Aloth. I had a really simple AI set, something like.. Self: Hp below 75% Second wind Always true Spirit shield 120 reset timer Always true Mirrored image 120 reset timer It wouldn't work at all for hours. I'm sure it's probably related to the new auto attack options. It's working now though, not sure what fixed it.
  2. I think you guys that are theory crafting based on your non patch playthrough are going to be in for a rude awakening....
  3. Been thinking soul annihilation may have been nerfed. I'm not seeing near the numbers from it I was on my last 2 playthroughs.. but could that be from the buff to enemy armor? I'm not really sure how its damage works.
  4. I'm currently playing through PoTD with my transcendent build. It's still viable, though I think soul annihilation may have been nerfed. I'm also using my healing wall build to see if it needs updating or not.
  5. I don't think it's all single target priest spells, just the litany spells, I could be wrong though. Empowering concussive missiles is far less effective than before the patch, I think it's because of the +2 enemy armor boost though mroe than anything else.
  6. hey im not trolling and im being serious but does anyone think that ciphers are actually worth it now? im having second thoughts, i thought they where going to get a buff not nuked Soul blade ought to still be useful as a martial multi class especially as borrowed instinct is one of the best accuracy buffs now after devotions nerf. Also in reply to the dude you're quoting, pain block is exactly the same as it was before, so is amplified wave. P.S. While testing amplified wave I also confirmed that turning wheel no longer buffs it. painblock use to be +5 armour rating The robust inspiration has always been +2 armor, even in the early beta versions. ah ok i was thinking of boddy attument, use to be the ciphers one and only good self buff, now not even worth casting Body attunement isn't really, but perhaps you should read the description of borrowed instinct, it was a better self buff than bdoy attunement to begin with and now it's honestly one of the best self buffs in the game.

  9. Could be nobody has tried summoner yet, wouldn't get my hopes up to high just yet anyhow. Ravager ought to be able to do decent AoE with carnage+rooting pain.
  10. The accuracy from Devotions only stacked/stacks with inspirations anyhow. Glad they nerfed it anyways, there's a lot of other ways to gain accuracy that are no longer made obsolete by priest.
  11. It's been mentioned a few times already, but some of these were buffed. Litanies for example have a 0.5 second cast time now.
  12. I managed to get through the newbie island PoTD without any knockouts, but it was by the skin of my teeth. Btw I don't think shield bearer lay on hands was touched. I kept my Nalpazca alive at 1 hp for quite awhile at one point before realizing I was suffering from drug crash...
  13. A few priest spells were buffed. The single target inspiration spells have a 0.5 second cast time instead of 3 for example. I don't remember what the duration on holy power was before, but I don't think it was 30 seconds which it is now... Holy meditation is still 10 seconds though. Most of the other priest stuff I'm not really sure about. LIke circle of protection gives +15 all defenses, was it 10 before?
  14. You might want to read the descriptions of the inspirations given by disciplined barrage, etc. They give a very nice graze/hit/crit conversion. And power level bonus for the other option. Don't forget inspirations also protect from status effects. For 1 discipline you can counter blind or even dominate with the right upgrade. With the nerf to cleave stance, if it really only hits 1 target now, I'd probably rate Brawler as a 1v1 specialist, especially with conquerors stance, and Ravager as an AoE specialist. So just go from that. Brawler is still tougher as well.
  15. Aloth's Keybreak scepter doesn't bounce to additional targets anymore, which is a heavy nerf to my Transcendent build. Who even used scepters? I don't think anyone considered them OP....
  16. It's down to 2 bonus armor from 5. Borrowed instinct is the same as it was before though so I will just use it and probably pass on body atunement now. If they gave it a longer duration or something in return for the big nerf I'd still use it, but I don't like a 3 second recovery for 2 armor every 15 seconds. Most of the other spells are the same as they were, like ringleader.
  17. Monks got some nerfs. Lightning strikes for example. So far it doesn't seem to be a big deal. I did notice the wording of turning wheel changed to say melee attacks or weapon attacks, so it might not work with spells and such anymore which would be one of the bigger monk nerfs. Not sure how swift flurry currently works though. Cipher body attunement got nerfed pretty hard. Kind of stupid considering other classes have passives better than it is now... Everything else seems about the same so far. Which is honestly unfortunate because I was hoping for cipher buffs. The priest single target inspiration buffs now have a 0.5 second cast time instead of 3. Chanter brilliant inspiration is gone. The 100% healing chant is now 50%. Fighter charge now does stun instead of full attack. Unbending is now 25% and 33%. I'm sure there's a lot of stuff I haven't noticed yet. Mostly newb island is now hard on PoTD.. there was even a Drake in the fight where you get Aloth (I would have been screwed there if I hadn't grabbed a hireling)... and I skipped the looters until after I got Aloth because there was so many of them. Oh yeah and Nature godlike is +1 power levels now for wellspring of life.
  18. Alternatively, make it so that the reset timer is per encounter instead of global. Right now setting the reset to 999 so that a skill will only be used at the start of the encounter doesn't work because the timer doesn't reset at the end of the encounter and will prevent the skill from being used for the next encounter.
  19. Is that a blessing they give you for releasing the souls to the Wheel or do you get it at some point in Deadfire? When you start a new game you can spend Berath's Blessing's points on various upgrades like "start at level 4" etc. I nearly always take the one that adds +2 to skills so that it's easier to make conversation checks without gimping your character by leveling up skills you wouldn't otherwise use or that don't fit your character concept. It only buffs skills your class starts with though, so if you have 1 athletics from the monk class you would actually have 3 athletics in game from Berath's blessing.
  20. Maia scout can get -60% reload speed for guns right away, plus super high accuracy. Her damage should really start to climb once you get driving flight and the 45k gun. Aloth could literally end every fight with empowered group wiping spells starting at around tier 5 spells (I purposely avoid doing this). Everyone of course is going to favor their watcher with gear and possibly micro, but that doesn't mean companions can't be beasts if given the proper attention. I mean, personally I just program the AI to play my watcher who has almost infinite resources anyways and micro either Aloth or Tekehu depending on which one I have in the party.
  21. I wish there was a fire version actually, though monks already have a fire lash, I would want it just for the fire fx on the fists.
