  1. Silver Knight is definitely better all around pick vs Her Courage. +10 Deflection is actually big in this game. I don't think any heal will keep you up with Sacred Immolation. The way it scales it can deal to you 190 crit damage per tick....
  2. It's OP but heavy gear dependent and level. You won't see full power of this build until you get Magrans Favor (and enchant it for +3 Fire Powers), Sun and Moon or Sungraze and Turning Wheel on monk. So not like other builds where everything works from beginning because of Cleave, this one actually requires you to hunt specific gear as soon as you can. if you buy proper scrolls, gear up with other standard equipment and buy summon items I am sure you could get Magran's Favor with this build around level 11-12, but it would not be easy if you play with scale up and difficulty mod. Without I don't think it would be much problem.
  3. No it would not as Hellwalker give you +10 Might on wounds + 50% Burn Damage to your attacks with Turning Wheel. I mean it would "work" but don't expect numbers that high at all. It's those Hellwalker bonuses that makes that burn damage skyrocket hard. Paladin FoD burn damage + 10% lash from it's upgrade + 50% Turning Wheel + 28 Might (+10 from Helwalker) + 5 Fire Power Levels + 2 Nature Godlike Power Levels (if you take it) = insane power damage. Without Helwalker damage would still be nice but nowhere near 50% of what this build can do with fire
  4. There are also other problems in this game that were still present in POE1, for example my biggest grip Why are still Ranger companions soo weak?? Like they drop like flies. Why we still can't have some gear that affects them? Like coral, trinkets, blessings , whatever. Ranger will never be fun to play solo because companions just suck.
  5. Imo it's gear that is lacking. It's either too OP or totally useless. Like 50% items in this game is tottally useless. Like for example you have only (just example) 10 unique rings, one is giving you +3 burning armor and one gives you +3 corrode armor. Who the hell would use that? That is so useless. Instead of making them +1 PL to that elements. On the other hand you have ring like 35% less durations of negative effects on you or +15 to all defenses etc. Same with weapons, you have something like Modwyr, Scordeo, Blade of Endless Path and some 2 stupid maces that are bad, ONE unique battleaxe, couple of totally useless 2h weapons, only 3 unique daggers, from which one is troll weapon. Same with armors you have armors that gives nothing good and armor that gives +25 deflection. Gear is: 1. Too strong 2. Or just totally useless, some random guy just put random effect on it and call it a day 3. Too many of best items are obtainable very early in game. 4. Gives waaay too much bonuses. Like Legendary weapon gives +12 Accuracy! It should give +8 at max at Legendary. 5. Not enough unique items in game. Pretty much 80% of builds posted here use same gear. Imo gear should be more like in POE1. It was giving you boost, but it wasn't giving you 100% power spike.
  6. Ah, accuracy bonus sucks compare to other rings. I thought he really found +Fire Power ring. Ok, I was misremembering the accuracy bonus as a PL bonus. My bad. Np, I am fairy sure I haven't miss any +Fire Power item in game, but who knows
  7. Sabres are stronger and have Scrodeo Sabre which is broken on anything which can hit a lot of times (like Fighter) but Swords are more versitile and strongest ones are available super early in game (like Modwyr or Duskfall or Whisper of Yearwood).
  8. Probably but as you could see I didn't need much healing outside of running Sacred Immolation in which case you kind of need Shieldbearer immortality on Lay on Hands as Sacred Immolation can crit you for 100+ damage in one tick :D
  9. Yep, pure healer. The reason I stated pacifist is I want to role play a character who do not fight/attack/damage anyone by any mean. So healing which trigger by attack or healing skill which will damage enemy at the same time are out. And I'm struggling to pick paladin...because paladin is fighter right? With Paladin you have to pick Kind Wayfarer and then be in melee to hit enemies with Flames of Devotion to trigger AOE heal. Paladin is not pacifist at all :D So for pure Pacifist go Priest/Troubadour or Druid/Troubadour. Imo priest is little more roleplay for troubadour comob but that is jut my opinion . If you want tips what to take on Troubadour for healing/support job and how to combo that on Troubadour - let me know Yeah, and I think priest is more pacifist than druid, but druid healing sounds very good :D If only multi-class is real "multi" class instead of double class, I know I am greedy :D Btw, if I want to role play another character( not pacifist ) who can tank/protect allies from harm/self sacrifice to protect, heal or aid allies, what is the best combo? I think Shieldbearer paladin is essential because lay of hand can prevent death. Nah, prevents death is overrated. Full party can dish out so much heal that I don't know who ever needed that shieldbearer immortality. You also have potions, Second Winds... I only took it for my Burn Baby Burn build becasue Sacred Immolation kill you in few seconds. Also paladin for party can take ressurect abilities and Preist have Barring Death Door that prevents from death anyway. If not pacifist I would go Kind Wayfarer + Priest with dual weapons, High INT, high Might and Perception and be classic tank healer in front. You dish out damage and at same time heal people around you. Pair it with Moon Godlike for more AOE heal or with Nature Godlike for more Power and you are golden. Alternatively you can go my Sword Singer build, Herald version (Kind Wayfarer/Troubadour) with little changes (taking healing invocations) and with Anicent Memory, healing invocations and other team buffs you can also provide a lot of support in front + summons. On Level VII you have Mercy chant with give +100% healing. Combining that with Ancient Memory and +% healing items and +15% healing done passive you will heal like crazy.
  10. It could work well for party but not that much on yourself since on yourself you can stack Soft Wind + Ancient Memory with Troubadour Linger and it heals all the time instead of absorbing 10 dmg per 3 seconds. On solo it's not imo good as it's better to stack Silver Knight +10 Deflection plus Mith Fyr or Ancient Memory + Mith Fyr. However with Brisk Mode it should work quite well on party, though I still think it's imo better to linger for party Silver Knight and Mith Fyr and switch to Brisk Ancient + spamming healing invocation than running Her Courage all the time. You will have to test that for party as I just theorycraft here. For solo I would not take her courage myself.

  12. Not to in anyway bash your build idea or anything but Crusader is totally unkillable and untouchable. You have superior AOE dmg once you grab Cleave, paladin single target super burst to start Cleave, warrior charge, rapid recovery, unbending, lay on hands, +21 defenses from Paladin passive, -25% recovery on armors, +20 defenses from fighter active, Disciplined strikes. Grab Bleak Walker if for party for more dmg, Kind Wayfarer for AOE heal for party and being totally unkillable or shieldbearer for being even more unkillable.... There is no wrong choice for crusader. The only reason I didn't cover still Crusader because there is nothing to cover. It's probably most OP melee hybrid in game in terms of having absolutely no downsides from start to end of the game. From level 1 to 20 he is just unstoppable. He does not require specific gear or items, he just goes through game. So all I can say is: with Crusader just go what you want, go dual wield Devoted for Scordeo Sabre + Fin's Fortune for most OP stuff or just go sword for early Modwyr, Duskfall and whisper of yearwood. If you want being more broken- just grab Nature Godlike. You just can't go wrong with Crusader, not a chance.
  13. If you paly to hit more dmg yourself, Eternal is better. Mith Fyr will provide decent bonus. You can kind of mimick my Burn Baby Burn build with it though of course it will lack Helwalker Turning Wheel + Might stacks damage but your burn damage should still be quite high. If you feel like PotD is too easy, I recommend difficulty mod. Definitely verified a lot of previously solo-viable builds for me: https://www.nexusmods.com/pillarsofeternity2/mods/43 It really makes difference, at least for solo powerbuilds. Dunno how it will work with party.
  14. Hey, 1) You will have to sacrifice some stuff I took but it should be fine. However worth to note: - Dragon's Thrashed is trash and totally not worth getting. It suck- period - Old Siec is also weak. Better to run Ancient Memory + healing gear + healing passive talent + Mercy for healing (and can be run in brisk or with Linger + Mercy for super boost) - Scion of Flame will only be worth if you will also use Magran Favor + Pet that gives +1 Fire PL. Sion alone is not worth, only when you stack it. Rest are good abilities you mentioned. 2) It's not. Paladin can get his resources back only at Level VI on kill or if you combine him with Chanter - Level VII. Then you have two sources of getting Zeal back- on kills + VII Brilliant. However till Level VI you are quite tin on resources and sworn enemy is god send as you pretty much free casting it for 0 cost. It's too good to skip imo. 3) Shared Flames will stack with Mith Fyr if you want to boost your party.
  15. Glad you enjoy build! Which one you went? Herald or War Caller? If you don't find summons useful for your game- I would take And Hel Hyraf at Level 1 for AOE armor nerf and on Level III I would chose either Rejoice My Comrades for being also a better party healer now, upgrade to Hel Hyraf for longer Armor debuff or if you have some rangers in your party using firearms you can go for Chant Sure Handed to make them shoot faster. Rest should work really. Later you could take upgrade to Rejoice for Revive on allies or for example. I went with the herald. It's great for a sword singer rp just like you said. I will definitely try the war caller as well though. Thank you for your advice. I thought Hel-Hyraf would work better in my situation too. I checked your votary build too. It looks very unique and amazing! Love your work. Thanks! Yeah, burn baby burn is amazing, but it depends on how early you can solo for Magran Favor and sungrazen (and Sun and Moon is just bought from vendor) to start having real fun.
  16. I think your axe is bugged. I checked mine, and it's +2 power levels base, transformed into +3 if you pick the enchant. You do NOT get +2 and +3 at the same time. I even consoled a few more and tried out various enchants, I couldn't manage to get Fiery Core and Living Pyre at the same time on the same weapon. Huh, I just consoled another one and got both again.... :/ Strange. I will try later again. More fun is Chanter/Paladin or Chanter/Warrior as there is just a lot more cool stuff- you can melee, use summons, buff yourself, debuff enemies, cast damage invocations. For me. Burn Baby Burn is more of a roleplay mid-end game power freak. It's a lot more gear dependent to really "Become" this build but at the same time it's more devastating. I guess Warcaller or Herald is just more all-around and therefore imo more entertaining while Burn Baby Burn is more micromanaging but far more straight foward.
  17. As I understand the Power Level system, Illusion Power Level is not particularly important for a Waelite. Non-damaging/healing/bouncing spells benefit only in duration (5%/PL) and, if applicable, minimally in Accuracy (+1/PL). The PL 1-2 bonus spells aren't illusions (also true of PL8-9), and Mirrored Images and L's Displaced Image (the PL3&4 bonus spells, respectively) would benefit only in duration. Confusion (PL5) would get small ACC and Duration bonuses, as would Gaze of the Adragan (PL7). Ark's Wondrous Torment (PL6) would, too, and might also get extra bounces out of a higher PL (I think it should, but haven't tested). If so, that would probably be the only spell where a higher Illusion PL is noticeable to all but the most numbers-focused players. You are correct
  18. So? Paladin/Monk can easly solo that much earlier. You still have your fists and this build will work with any other dual weapons till to get Magran's Favor. You can cheese many fights with scrolls, empowered abilities etc. Most solo builds posted here can solo 3 red skull enemies encounters. If you don't play with difficulty mod it also will make it easier. Besides this buildl won't see true power till you get Turning Wheel anyway. Till then you can run with Modwyr (burn damage) and sun and moon and solo for Magran Favor when you feel ready. I will try to do it over weekend as early as possible. We will see what level is needed.
  19. 2h is only good if you take the AOE one (Endless Path or Phagai poleaxe) and stack it with AOE subclasses or subclasses procing effects or rehitting enemies on hits. So Fighter with Cleave Stance, Monk with Swift Flurry + Heartbeat Drumming, Berserker with Carnage. If you mix any of those (especially Fighter with Monk) 2h with AOE profile becomes a meat grinders vs group of enemies. But that is not because of 2h being good, but because of Swift Flurry, Cleave and Heartbeat Drumming being broken. Without those- all 2h are meh. Two weapons are better right now because: 1. Higher Pen 2. Higher Speed with Two Weapon Style 3. Full Attacks deal DOUBLE dmg : FoD, Charge, Barbarian Blow etc. 4. Higher ACC 5. Stacking 2 enchantments to create superb combos like Scordeo Sabre + Fin's, Magran Favor + Sun and Moon/Sungrazer, Unique Parayzing Hatcher + Paralyzing Sabre for perma paralyzing etc etc. 6. Access to Sabres which are strongest melee weapons now due to high pen, dmg, lot of uniques, low attack speed on some (2.2 sec). 7. A lot of uniques when you go dual wield: Sabres and Swords have a lot of good options, same daggers and silletos, 2 unique rapiers, 4 unique Flails etc. 2h weapons have limited selection of good ones. Overall I think Obsidian droped balls on this one and 2h are just weak. 2h weapons vs 1h should have imo: 1. Higher Penetration 2. Higher Alpha damage but lower recovery and speed 3. Small Cone damage profile (by default what Endless Path have on standard attack)so you can hit 2, max 3 targets with one swing.
  20. For pure offensive chanter that will do nothing else well but split damage dealing invocations: Skald. Works best when paired with Fighter or Berserker due to their high Hits to Crit ration. Add all equipment you can for Hit to Crit to stack it and proc more often from Skald Passive. For being a perfect mix of being party buffer, healer due to long linger and have an option of being almost as good as Skald in using offensive invocations (Skald will be better when min-maxed for crits but that is late game) and better than all other subclasses in being great at using all sort of invocations types- Troubadour hands down. Most flexible and strongest subclass for chanter. You can multi him with anything and he will work great. Fighter, Paladin, Wizard, Priest, Monk- all will work great. You just have to learn how to use his Brisk Recitation. Pure Chanter is imo weakest as I see no point taking pure Chanter if you have Troubadour who is better at everything or taking Sklad if all you want to do is spam offensive invocations. I am not fan of beaconer as I prefer bigger and stronger summons. So overall in terms of all their feats and traits I say Troubadour>Skald>pure Chanter=Beaconer.
