NWN2 only 20 hours long?
True. However, the context is that I have played K2 and liked it. I want more. Therefore, I will buy this different game that I hope will have the same quality or better. So what if I wanted an extremely amazing game, no, the BESTESTEST EVAR!!!!!!??????????!!!!!? Grom's advice would cause me to miss out on what I hope is a decent game. Hmm, actually, he is talking about length, not even talking about quality. In that case, he is writing off games for length, whereas were I to take his advice, i would apply it to quality, that is, i wouldn't settle for anything less than THE BESTESTEST GAMEUH EVUH!!111111!!!!!@@!!!!!!!

Also, Grom, not buying their game will cause them to go out of business, which means they cannot try again. So if I wanted to help Obsidian make better games, not buying their games is an ineffective way to do so. I am not proposing something else, but I am criticizing your method of making companies give better games. Wait, weren't you the one who rallied all the Troika fans to not buy the company's games? Hades had better not find out about this...

Sadly, you don't have a say in that. People associated you, you can't unassociate yourself now that you are in so deep.

NWN2 only 20 hours long?
Right, Oblivion is a free-roaming RPG, whereas we are talking about a CRPG, that is, NWN2 is a game in which the story is focused on more than free-roaming or any other prefix to the RPG part of the genre's title. In Oblivion, any given quest only lets you develop a relationship with a character for as long as that quest goes on, and as we know, the quests are numerous, but not lasting of the whole game (with exception of the main quest, where the relationships consist of the reporting and retrieving part of the quest, so one is not with the main quest characters much anyway). CRPG's like... Kotor 2 for example, let one stay with any character for the whole game, and the relationships seem to be able to build throughout the game. Almost every other action I did, one of my party would speak to me about it. That is great, immersive. Good job, Obsidian, now make it better Anyway, the axis of evil agreeance of Blank, Llyr, and Wolf in this matter continues.

#1) If you break them, then accept your losses and stick them in a junky microwave that you reserved for this occasion. Turn on microwave and watch the fireworks. #2) If you lose them, then accept your losses and put yourself in a large microwave which you reserved for this occasion. Oh, and don't forget to turn on the microwave, or have your good buddy do it for you, since you'll be inside it. #3) Or, make a copy of your Cd before #1 or #2 can occur. If Blu-ray or whatever you want as a copy is unable to be copied, follow the advice after "then" of #2 above.

First of all, it made me laugh too. Second, I agree about the time. Twill be different for every person. As Llyr's sarcasm pointed out, Oblivion has 80+ hrs. of content, but one can beat the main quest and feel "done" within 15. And i would be extremely dissappointed if rpgs got shorter than 20 hrs., but it is true that as realism becomes greater, it is harder to make more, since eventually people will demand that developers have to allocate for every aspect of reality that they can replicate.

NWN2 only 20 hours long?
YAY! And one cannot expect any game to be the best ever while it is being developed. That is something discovered after playing for a year and still liking it as much as when you first got it. I am not expecting NWN2 to be the best ever, but I do expect it to be AT LEAST decent, based on all of Obsidians other games (i mean, 1 other game, hahaha). So if i get a game that is better than decent, and i enjoy it, that is more than enough for me. Good luck Obsidian Oh, but heeding Grom's advice... U HAD BETT@R MAKE THE BEST GAME EVA! OR I WILL NEVER BUY ONE OF YO GAMES UH-GEN!11! IT HAS TO BE REAL GOOD, LIKE THE COOLZEST!

NWN2 only 20 hours long?
jeez, then why did i replay Kotor 1 & 2 thrice each? There is always more stuff that one has not experienced yet. You can play good, you can play evil, you can play male, you can play female, and variations of those. These things change the Role-playing atmosphere you place yourself in, and causes the game to be different. At least, that works for me in general for any decent Crpgs. Maybe you need an imagination? Agreed. Really, so long as it's satisfying and a damned fine example of a game, why's 20 hours so short? If there's extensive replay value, which there should be, judging by what's already been said by the devs (I know...but I still trust them.), then that 20 hr game turns into 40+. I also agree with you both. Especially Wolf's last sentence. If anybody is like me, then they meticulously try and accomplish every quest the first time through... and if they are like me once more, the second time through they do it again and find new stuff. Hmm, and like Eldar, I am a single player person. 56k wouldn't cut it for MP.

NWN2 only 20 hours long?
I agree, look at the context. He states that one will have 20 hrs. of play for sure. Then he states that only some will have more than that. If both those statements are true, then everyone will finish in exactly 20 hrs. and only a few will take longer. That's way to close for the styles people play. Looks to me like a mistake.

Alrighty, I guess that means we meet next week? But anyway, i read the transcript and laughed a lot. It's fine that Horace goes along with the group, but Errol is scary.

You claim that you know society frowns upon cursing, and then you say that it shouldn't. That is according to you. I say that I should get a million dollars. That is according to me. People won't change because you say they should. If people won't change, then it is pointless to try and change them, and complaining won't change them either. Therefore, the only realistic option that will change anything, is for you to "get over it". Society is stiff-necked, get along with it or get shunned by it, but either way, you need it. And that is not a false dilemma, those are the options. If you think of another option, tell me. Get along with it some of the time and get shunned by it some of the time? Go ahead, but be aware that one accumulates a reputation. On-Topic: Mia-- Chevelle

Who here has an Xbox 360?
Call of Duty dissappointed me greatly. Fortunately, i borrowed the game from a friend and didn't buy it. It is obvious to me that the first line of games were rushed. For the most part, they look ugly for being next-gen. And now Microsoft is attempting to add external HD-DVD drives to their self-antiquated system. To come out so early was wrong. Bad move Microsoft, bad move. *goes and plays Oblivion and DOA4*
