  1. I've had this issue a bit when the party is behind trees or something. I have to click my mouse over the character portrait to see who's who but you still only get the green circle flashing. This can make it difficult to heal while in combat. I'm really used to the old system of just clicking the healing spell on the portrait of the character.. The first time I tried that my priest ran down to the corner of the map and cast a healing spell on nobody.
  2. Stealth into an area with rogue, set trap, fire on enemy, run back to group which is waiting around corner.. Works well for me. For good backstab during combat take the Shadowing Beyond talent which lets you turn invisible.
  3. Yes, Skill points carry over. Talent points do not... (but you have to choose talents to continue so saving them isn't even an option)
  4. This is the portrait I'm currently using for my female rogue. Works well for most human or elf character since you can't see the ears.
  5. Anybody have a good idea where to find generic portraits that would represent the class of the character? Kind of like Neverwinter Nights 1 eventually had.. (like the 9 top portraits in the picture below) Some of those would actually work if I could find them anywhere. It would be so much easier to build a character and not have to rely on having to pick a portrait that only slightly resembles what I want to build.
  6. No idea how that'd even be achievable since the only way to actually heal health seems to be to rest.
  7. I Immediately had durance cast halt on him and took care of the blights.. I think another character had something that paralyzes as well but I can't remember what. I had found a ring of combusting wounds somewhere and had stuck that on my chanter..( my mage has that spell as well.) I got rid of the blights rather quickly with combusting wounds on the wind one and kalkoth's sunless grasp on the fire one. I then had my fighter use his knockdowns on Maerwald, rogue using crippling strike.. and then just spammed combusting wounds on him with every turn while smashing him with whatever abilities/spells the other characters could. Seemed to work out rather well.
  8. They are pretty tough.. There were a few mobs that gave me some trouble. I don't think I've ever made it through an encounter with all characters conscious. On one occasion all I had left was the fighter but he triumphed - barely. (that's all I need for a win though.) Chanter chanting, mage blasting spells, cleric blasting spells.. I go all out if a fight seems tough. Lots of pausing, casting, drinking potions. Use every thing at your disposal because you can always rest afterwards. .. Seems like they really like to go for the mage so keep him moving about and far away so he doesn't auto initiate close combat.. (and then get killed when you try to run away.)
  9. Bows work amazingly well. My rogue archer has the highest kill count for some reason. As for armor, I've just kind of stuck to my old precepts of who wears what. Seems to work pretty well.. (except for cipher or chanter since they are classes I've never dealt with before.) I do really wish I could see my characters speed stat.. I know that armor takes off a %.. but of what? Weapons obviously have speed attached as well but to what extent?.. what does "average" speed mean? I don't know, so I just have to guess and hope all works out.
