I thought Durance would have made an interesting Monk, tbh you can replace durance portrait with another ugly portrait in NPC folder and name it durance and move the actual durance portrait to player portraits folder and create a monk and use durance portrait......that way you can play a monk with durance's face :D

Chanter auto attack is the same as any other average accuracy class auto attack and as Eos mentioned i'll pick up ranged combat talents (with specific weapon specialisations) and i can go; 16 in each might, dex and intel.........and; 10 in each cons, perc and res ........ (or may be 8 in perc and res; and go 18 in might and intel).......... sounds promising.....

Paladin is not entirely or mainly a support class as some people are claiming, its a front line MARTIAL class, with some aoe buffs (or some support skills) ........ The class notes and the devs notes say so on the game's official wiki. After reading so much on this class and after playing it for a little while, i really believe if paladins get an intimidation aura to grab enemies attention or some kind of aoe taunt (may or may not duration based) that ought to bring this class into its own. Because at the moment, a huge majority of player base considers Paladin class to be an underdog in this game. 95% of the people have told me i would be better off going as Fighter or a Priest.

They can give Paladins an AoE taunt ability or an aura that makes paladin appear more intimidating to enemies so they have chance to leave their current engagement and attack the paladin......... that should increase their viability as tank and it will be a different play style than a Fighter.... I guess.

I was thinking more like, a bow and arrow chanter with some what faster attack speed, that's why I was thinking about putting points in dexterity...but i dont really know, since I dont have much experience with chanters. And whats the deal with resolve why do i need resolve as a chanter i dont understand......constitution, intelligence and resolve are three recommended attributes for chanter...I understand the need of intelligence but I don't understand the other two....

Hey guys, starting a PotD run as a Chanter.........this will be my first playthrough as Chanter. I have been looking around on internet for what people have to say about how to build a chanter, but I haven't been able to find anything conclusive, there is some difference of opinion. My big question is this, do I really need Constitution and Resolve (both recommended) on Chanter? I rather put points in Might (for damage) and Dexterity (for speed)? So here I am......I would love if people could share their chanter builds, attribute stats and their experiences as a Chanter, so I can get some insight........ Thanks.

But isn't that what a Priest is supposed to do? And Priest does it better I think.........so why should we bother with a Paladin? Specially when so many people consider Fighter class to be indispensable, specially for main tanking.... So why shouldn't we just get a Fighter (who you are going to get no matter what) and a Priest and get the best of both worlds, why should we bother with Paladin at all (and stay mediocre in both departments; tanking and support).....I mean I am having trouble understanding the design here, in all honesty.

I was unaware that Devs ever said such a thing, I guess i missed it. But still that doesn't change the fact that most of the player base considers Paladin, an underdog. At least that's the impression that I am getting from the forums, I have never played Paladin in PoE to the extent where I can confidently say anything about the class but that is the reason why I started this topic......

Yea but in a party that has no Fighter and no Paladin, if you had a choice between getting either one Paladin or one Fighter..............who would you go with? I haven't played a Fighter before either and I don't know about Paladins also.... and that's why I am asking......but from the comments here and all across the forums, it seems everyone would go with a Fighter, instead of a Paladin and from what I have read it doesn't look like that it would be a 50/50 decision due to various class specific advantages and disadvantages............. And that's an important factor with me since I am going to be the main character of the game and I want to be the one of the characters who makes difference in most aspects of the game, specially combat........and like I said before, I don't want to be second class member of my party. And its kind of disappointing that Paladins are this way, that people are saying that they are better than having a second of any class, specially when there are 11 classes available, to pick from, for your six person party.

Hmm....so from the comments I gather that, Paladins basically have lots of defensive stats and some useful auras........however they don't deal out much damage and they have trouble holding aggro of multiple enemies.... How about dual-wielding paladins or paladins with two handed weapons? Has anyone tried one of those? I mean I sure would like to deal out at least some damage..... Also the Paladin would be my main character so I don't want to feel like a second rate party member, that's really important to me.....

Stop cry go play? Who is crying here? I am only trying to get some info here.......so that I may know what I am getting into as a Paladin. I haven't made a single complaint, I am just trying to get some feedback on Paladins before I commit to play one. Why would you say I am crying? I can only assume that you have just learned to speak English and you do not yet know the correct meanings of the words to use them in proper context, otherwise I can't imagine why you would say I am crying.........anyway pls be respectful or dont respond at all if you have to be this way, I have not given anyone any reason to respond to me in this manner

So how does Untroubled Faith (Paladin Talent) work. It says it eliminates the effects of the negative rep on my Faith and Conviction ability. But what does it mean? How does it really works, I am having trouble understanding the mechanics here.....can someone please shed some light on it? Also if I don't have any negative rep or disfavoured disposition do I still need this talent? Thanks...

Ok so I created a Bleak Walker Paladin for my PotD playthrough, Mig 16 Con 10 Dex 8 Per 16 Int 12 Res 16 was planning to role play a real badass zealot. But I got my ass kicked even in the first tutorial map and the one after (Valenwood) and then I saw all these posts here on this forum talking about Paladins being underpowered specially in mid to late game, in comparison to other classes......... So is it true? Are Paladins really weak? My other alternative was a Priest should roll a priest instead, then? Any insight would be great on Paladins though, I really wanted to play a badass frontliner and I dont want to play a fighter or a barbarian.... Thanks

At what level should I descend under my keep and confront Master Below. I acquired the keep some time ago but then I came to Defiance Bay..... I haven't really explored endless paths much except for level 1....... I am level 5 now and was wondering at what level or when should I explore the dungeon under Caed Nua, since the game doesn't indicate when or what would be the appropriate level range to do so............ Can anyone throw some light on it? I'll appreciate any advise. Thanks.
