Anyway, I didn't know any of her songs, but one refrain stood out. You know how when you see a band about whom you know nothing, and then listen to one of their albums years later and have a weird sense of deja vu.

Yeah, I had the same feeling when I saw The Independents at a venue my ex-band played at. I realized what I was listening to then was good only then. When I bought the album, I stopped listening to it after 3 weeks because I realized it was garbage. Then I went and bought a Garbage album ironically....
