On the topic of non-ipod mp3/video players: I got myself a Samsung YP-T8, which is a 1 gig flash drive that plays vids and the usual music files. It has great battery, slick design, and is pretty user friendly. My only complaints are that it doesn't play Ogg Vorbis files quite right and it doesn't play the FLAC format...but those are no big deal really. So if your in the market for another mp3 player....I highly recommend the Samsung version
