In Krakow. See, Krakow is not unlike a plecostomus at the bottom of your aquarium. Krakow will scour the depths for concepts other cartoonists pass on like so much waste; this allows other cartoonists to thrive on nutrient-rich material and live richer, fuller lives! In other words, they're bottom feeders. Or, if you will, they suck. (Avril Arrow was a brilliant idea though.)

That's because Guns N Roses haven't made a good album since Appetite For Destruction. Currently listening to: Creed - Pity For A Dime, because discussing them here made me want to dig out their first album. HOLY DINGO SCOTT STAPP IS EVEN MORE ANNOYING THAN I REMEMBER.

My friend's first record was a Lou Bega record. He liked Mambo Number 5. He looks back on those days with mucho shame. Pearl Jam - Unemployable Now, I like Pearl Jam's new record a lot, but Eddie Vedder's voice has really deteriorated over the years. Sometimes he coughs lyrics more than he sings them.

I was always more of a Blur fan than an Oasis fan. My first CD was Americana, by The Offspring. I was ten. I could have done worse.

*weeps* I own all three Disturbed CDs. I'm gonna give away the first two though. I no longer like them. The third? I like that one. You can barely feel the nu-metal anymore anyway. They're just hard rock now. Besides, David Draiman is a pretty good singer. Hell, they're doing solos now. Granted, the solos make me go 'whoa, scales!' but still. Creed had one or two good songs. I like 'One'. Creed's biggest problem was their incredibly annoying singer. I mean, ****, if you're going to rip off Eddie Vedder, rip off the parts people liked, not just the parts people hated and Ed has stopped doing. Creed in itself was not a terrible band. Mark Tremonti is not a bad guitarist. Alter Bridge has proved this when they allowed him to stop downtuning his guitar for that 'grungy' sound. Weezer and Oasis aren't post-grunge...? Post grunge is not a time-period. No, post-grunge is a movement. It's basically any band that went 'hey this band is pretty cool, let's rip them off'. Creed tried to take over from Pearl Jam and Godsmack from Alice In Chains, for example. Puddle Of Mudd, Nickelback, that sort of ****e. In fact, post-grunge was already active during the actual grunge period (Stone Temple Pilots, Bush). And this is absolutely not my generation. Post-grunge is the grunge generation trying to hold on to it's relevance in the world. They've pretty much all moved on now. For example, Creed became Alter Bridge, losing almost all it's grunge trademarks in favor of hard rock. Not that this is saying much, because my generation is even worse. The Foo Fighters have definately shaken off the musical implications of such, anyway. They've become the unexpected arena rockers of this decade. I think most people realize they're entirely different bands. The Foo Fighters probably would have made it on their own, albeit in a different form. Personally, I gotta say Everlong is one of the best songs I know and I like it better than pretty much everything Nirvana released.

He's also a kickass guitarist and songwriter. Singer, not so much. Although he's the only one that can make angsty-as-hell lyrics sound happy. Green River - Unwind

I have. They quickly threw that gimmick. That recording of Layne I just linked to? This was pretty early in their career. Right after they threw that gimmick out. Look at Alice In Chains Unplugged, you can totally see how much trouble he's having not passing out. But hearing Layne at the top of his game? Sends chills through my bones. Love the comic man. It was fun, really cheesy in a good way. And terrible art. And absolutely silly writing. And is almost as bad as Krakow plain.

I hate you, Baley. I can never tell if you're trying to be funny, serious or sarcastic. You confuse me. My opinion on Nirvana varies as well, actually. Usually, a listen to Unplugged makes me go "oh so pretty". Yet, then I listen to Nevermind and I'm like "oh god, turn that dingo off!" Mark Lanegan - Where Did You Sleep Last Night Mark is a GOD compared to Kurt.

I never said poppy hooks are evil. Eels are my favourite artists and they have poppy hooks all over the place. Hipocrisy is, though, and fact is that Nirvana's corporate rock aspirations were just as glaring as any other band from the so-called 'grunge' era. And Nirvana never had their own shtick, and they certainly didn't do it well. The Shins - The Weird Divide

Nirvana is only even remembered because Kurt shot himself in the head, man. If he hadn't, people would only remember them as the band that ripped of the Melvins and the Pixies so much. Besides, Kurt made a point to call anyone who came close to Nirvana's sales a sellout. That's how punk rawk he was. Too bad he never looked back on his own annoyingly catchy pop hooks.
