  1. Hey, maybe he'll do it right. Remember when they had dragon battles in DUNGEONS AND DRAGONS?
  2. I love both endings, personally. I think they are both good in their own way and cannot really be compared. "There was God, his diplomas hanging behind the wall" I always wonder, is he really talking to God, or is he talking to a psychiatrist and has he finally completely lost his marbles?
  3. I like good cliffhangers. I do not like more common terrible cliffhangers designed with no other reason than "we have no other interesting hook in the next episode; we have to have a cliffhanger in this one so they will watch that piece of dingo".
  4. Standalone plots are not bad as long as there is a main plot thread to the series and the standalone plots do not upstage it. In fact, when this balance is found standalone plots can be very good. Every episode will have a conflict and a climax and there aren't nearly as many lame soap-opera cliffhangers.
  5. Goddammit Pete, make some original stuff again. Bad Taste FTW.
  6. I agree with the people who said House. For the record, I hate CSI and every other such show. I watch House because the characters and humor are awesome. Dr. House is a genius. "We've got rectal bleeding!" "What, all of you?"
  7. Eels - Theme From Blinking Lights Baley mentioned the whole 'desert-island' album thing. Within five seconds I reached for my copy of "Blinking Lights and Other Revelations"
  8. It doesn't sound like emo to me. More like... utterly generic hard rock. Neil Young - Let's Impeach The President Good ol' Neil. As subtle as an elephant. An elephant laden with bricks. Screaming it's head off. Wrapped in crime scene tape. PINK crime scene tape.
  9. On the new Evanescence; better than Fallen, but only slightly. If it didn't have Amy Lee singing, nobody would give them a second look. EElS - Flyswatter
  10. I remember you although you probably don't remember me. More dutchies YES.
  11. The new Evanescence album. I REGRET NOTHING.
  12. 1. What is your age? I am currently 18 years old. 2. What is your favorite color? Teal. 3. List some interests. Music, movies, video games. Animation. Old cartoons. I draw and I play guitar, and I occasionally dabble in the art of writing. 4. What kind of music do you like? I like a lot of music, but I suppose most of it's a form of rock. My favourite bands are Eels, Pearl Jam, Modest Mouse, Screaming Trees and Alice In Chains. 5. What genre of movies do you like? Why limit myself to one genre? I like a lot of movies. Most of them are suspense or action driven, though. My favourite movie is Fight Club. 6. What genre of video games do you like? Mostly RPGs (KOTOR) or games with a gimmick (Dungeon Keeper). I used to be big on strategy games, but that pretty much died when every strategy game became more of the same. 7. What quality do you most admire in a person? Knowing how to make the best of things. 8. What quality do you least admire in a person? Hypocrisy. 9. Do you think of yourself as a negative or posative person? I am as inconsistant as they come. My opinions on most things change every hour. That also applies on my opinion whether I'm a positive or negative person. Currently? I'm feeling pretty positive.
  13. K1 Male Dewan, Female Katara K2 Male Jouhi, Female Selene
  14. Uh. What? No, seriously, what? Are you crazy? Batman is the original comic book anti-hero.
  15. So, what you're saying is, the first time someone actually plays Bruce Wayne like a person instead of cardboard cutout, he's not badass enough? Well, colour me laughing at you. Here's some news for you; anti-heroes always have an emo background. (Also, Holmes was a useless boring damsel in distress who was only in the movie so there'd be a female character. Put a stuffed bra on a wooden board, and you have the same performance.)
  16. I agree. Some of the better ones were more melodic, the more mediocre ones had those boring 'rough' guitar riffs which seemed to just scream "man, I'm Tom Morello from RATM! Let me play a goddamned riff! I want to riff, DAMMIT!" Alice In Chains - Sludge Factory
  17. Are you being sarcastic or not? I really can't tell. You pretty much have to be, with what you said, but the serious tone of your post is throwing me off.
  18. Honestly, why is everyone surprised?
  19. Today I listened to two leaked albums: Audioslave - Revelations I am pleasantly surprised. The only song of it that is actually absolutely terrible is the single. Some of them are pretty good. There's a lot of filler but it's passable. I like the title track. They don't rock out like on their debut, but it's a lot better than 'Out Of Exile'. Iron Maiden - A Matter Of Life And Death Yes, I know it's already out, but I had downloaded it a couple of days before it came out. I just hadn't gotten around to listening to it. It kicks quite a bit of ass, but I knew that already. This is a good album for people who, like me, had absolutely no problem with Brave New World and Dance Of Death.
  20. Are we talking about the same Frank Millar who has trouble writing any stories about women that are not prostitutes?
  21. I hope you can actually read what that says. Actually, I take that back. I hope you can't. Writing 'I Am A Moron' on someone's body in another language is a tattoo artist's god-given right.
