  1. https://tmblr.co/ZjE7tf2Y6q3Ub The only episode that had decent ratings was the pilot, and even that underperformed in its timeslot, then it took a sharp turn even before it was moved to a death slot, going from 2.4 million US viewers for the pilot to 1.4 for the next and never recovering. It consistently got its butt kicked by shows like Phineas and Ferb despite being much more costly to produce. People not watching it is partly to blame for networks moving further to stylized stuff, now coming full circle. Its timeslot contributing to its death can be debated, but it's pretty clear that not enough people watched it (similarly, DVD and merchandising sales were nonexistent compared to other shows of this target). As much as I'd love to attribute this to channels screwing over another good show, that person is wrong. Also lol, their source link is TV Tropes. Edit: Ironically, CN's viewership tanked since then and now even their flagship shows that used to average 3 million get less than that. Shows like Star vs. The Forces of Evil average 0.3 and are considered acceptable. How the mighty have fallen.
  2. I wouldn't say it is misplaced. I mean, it is excellent that Canada has that kind of earnings mobility. I would love to see the US make improvements there. But US companies still dominate the global economy. The tech industry was basically born from that 'misplaced' attitude and it still continues to be driven by US entrepreneurs. The world is saturated in products that were born in the US. Coca-Cola, McDonalds, Apple...they were created by self-made men. Why is that? Why doesn't Canada have more of those stories? Why are all your examples terrible products that make the world a worse place?
  3. Hope someone will let them in on the fact that grimdark stuff IS for kids.
  4. It'll probably be succesful as hell, judging by similar products. Parents really like sharing the games and toys they love. World of WarCraft: Traveler is a good example, though it helps that it's written by Greg Weissman (Gargoyles) and features art from WarCraft style codifier Samwise Didier himself. Funny how Games Workshop takes a lot of directional cues from Blizzard these days, considering Blizzard became what it is by expertly ripping Games Workshop off. Sidenote, ever have those moments where you write a word correctly but it just looks weird to you? I spent a good while trying to rewrite 'cues' just now. Almost wrote down queues. *insert anime style sweat drop here*
  5. There was a fantastic plot-driven and well animated Thundercats reboot a while back and nobody cared enough to watch it, so to everyone complaining now who didn't watch that: this is your fault in the first place. They don't make 'em like this anymore because people don't watch 'em.
  6. Winchester. Terrible. Even as someone who thinks gun culture in America is out of control I still don't want my haunted house movies to be heavy handed rants on gun control.
  7. Does triggered refer to anyone who finds anything offensive these days?
  8. For those who liked the show, it appears that Amazon is in talks for a Season 4 of The Expanse. I don't watch it myself, but I read the news and I remembered people here liked it.
  9. Talk about all your random video game news here. Try not to get too mean, k? Love you all.
  10. Huh. Now closing this for length feels super weird. Thanks, melkathi.
  11. I salute you.
  12. Okay, so the British Prince is marrying a woman named Megan? Didn't he just have a kid with another woman?
  13. Who and what, now?
  14. It said: "US Senate blocked the Net Neutrality repeal" So
  15. Expansions were announced and planned from the get-go in the FIG campaign.
  16. You mean Twitter lied to me again?
  17. Looks like the US Senate blocked the Net Neutrality repeal for now.
  18. No, it was simply lack of V I S I O N. Not what you meant, but I do believe this was one of the stated reasons: Characters and mobs have much more abilities than the old IE games, and also more of them have flashy visuals, leading to more visual clutter which they wanted to cut down on for clarity, especially for new players. Iirc anyway, don't quote me on that.
  19. Honestly I'd be surprised if they add a companion per DLC. Three new companions, each of which have to either have relationship interactions with the other companions (meaning bringing the VAs back in to record a bunch more lines) or not (making them seem unconnected compared to the main companions. Sidekicks? Sure, I'd imagine one per game is quite likely. Perhaps even with unique subclasses suited to the adventure of the DLC. But I doubt we'll see three new companions. I hope I'm wrong of course If this was planned for the DLCs, they most likely made this part of the VO contracts.
  20. Just make a few more posts and be aware posts in Way Off-Topic don't count because they do not increase post count.
  21. I feel like Durance' role was to be the embodiment of the Saints War and its effect on the Dyrwood. I can't say that despite his history with Eothas I think his character would have been as interesting in another setting. That being said, I didn't like him much. His story was interesting, but it needed a serious dose of 'show, don't tell' and his personality and the timegating mechanic gets on my last nerve, and it bothers me so much of the story is buried in a single companion. I enjoyed him more as a Wiki article than in game.
  22. Iirc, unless it got rolled back SteamSpy was pretty much ruined beyond repair by a recent Steam update to privacy settings. It was unreliable before that, now it's useless garbage.
