Please tell me you are not providing Al-Jazeera links as actually reliable and unbiased sources? Because if you are, it would seriously undermine your already lacking credibility. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> That and the fact they are dated March 2004.

Erm no, those sanctions were imposed by the UN after the first Gulf War... 15 years ago.

The Military
That link compares quality of life before and after the imposing of sanctions, not before and after the removal of Saddam Hussein and this isnt a thread about the efficacy of sanctions.

Boo, Gromnir's post in the the other thread was out of character, although to be fair there wasn't any scope to include the third person group referral.

BitComet question
Azureus is a bit of a resource hog, what with Java running in the background, try utorrent. Less options and features than Azureus but it uses only around 5MB of memory and no installation is required its just a .exe file.

Iranian leader denies Holocaust
The Iranian president maybe gambling on the assumption that there will be no action against Iran. At least none that is meaningful. The UN is impotent. The US doesnt have the resources or political will to commit to yet another military engagement. Iran will be in a position to develop their own nukes if they so opted. Ahmadinjad must be feeling pretty c0cky.
