  1. They do get better and have some pretty neat features, but I can't see why someone would buy one every single year.
  2. I was mostly answering to Volo's comment about originality. Notice I wasn't talking about any game or anything in particular.
  3. There's a difference between "not original" and "mehtacular". Its okay to not be original, but eventually you just sort of sigh because you've seen this all before way too much.
  4. They still sell a lot, for some reason.
  5. Finished "Big Trouble in Bigtown". At the end they wonder how they'll survive any longer (since you can't be there to save them all the time), and it was really awesome because all you do is tell them you're going to train them in small arms fighting, then shoot at a couple of bottles and they start learning on their own. No fade to black, no cutscene, no lame tooltip... Pretty impressive. They even get to fight two super mutants afterwards. It's like they didn't really bother to polish all the social interaction to make it insanely realistic, but still made the world feel complete and react to what you do. Totally worth buying.
  6. I sense a bug in the internets.
  7. Hehe, now it reminds me of Diablo II for some reason. I started over and am having a lot more fun now.
  8. Started all over and having a lot more fun now. Bethesda's difficulty settings are ****ed up though. Talked to Moira, got to Minefield and repeatedly died from the sniper and the mines. I don't really know how to disarm them, and in any case my lockpicking skill is at the bare minimum (I'm focusing on combat), but its nice to see the sidequests are really worth it. Met the Slavers, didn't really like their attitude so I killed a few. Then ran. Now THIS is fun. PS: Some of these dialogue choices had me laughing. "I am an ambassador from the utopia of Vault 101! Bow before me!"
  9. I swear I'm playing Fallout 3 wrong. I got about two sidequests, one which I don't know how to finish (where the **** is Ian West?) and the other is bugged because Roy Philips is already dead. So I got real bored running around in the wasteland, which is a lot emptier than you think, and blew up Megaton. This is boring.
  10. I support the idea of adding Funcroc to the game.
  11. So... I'm out of the vault. What do I do now?
  12. Bought Fallout 3. Got out into the wasteland, hoping to succeed as a greedy pickpocketing switchblade maniac. The only question is: What the hell do I do know?
  13. I don,t have enough HD space to install more than one game. Kinda sad.
  14. "Tsar Bomba" Pay at least some respect to the world's biggest bomb. I mean, other than Hades.
  15. Generic anime avatars are worse. hey hey now! I ain't generic! if anyone is generic it's you webcomic boy! I was referring more to the Sephiroth/Sasuke (from Naruto) sort of anime avatars. Makes 12 year olds think they're really cool. And I lik my Richards. Mostly I love the suspicious eyes.
  16. Generic anime avatars are worse.
  17. There is only one solution: a fight to the death with bendy straws. The competition will be set in the jungle and will last 72 hours. The one with the most limbs left wins.
  18. They can use it to track Santa.
  19. That just sounds like an awesome game. Is there a mod to make the animations not craptacular?
  20. Yes, but at least you felt that you had a complete game.
  21. I'm a console-only player and even I have to agree that FEAR 2 was much too "consolified". I actually liked the first because it was this weird beast from the strange and bloom-less world of PC shooters, this one is just boring.
  22. Do you really have to choose only one?
  23. Wow. Tsar Bomba could completely remove Montreal from the map, and not from radiation, from actual shockwave damage.
  24. I played on Hard the first time and got so freaking sick of the combat without really having any challenge. I'm having fun on easy though.
