No reason to get excited at all. It's just Valve hiring some popular mapper (who doesn't actually make the contents of his map, BTW).

I remember when mappers could actually host their maps and get them known.

Jedi Knight 2: Jedi Outcast. Terrible, terrible game. The level design is just plain awful. But hey, it's old, so I guess it gets some points for that.

By level 20 I was literally encountering only Deathclaws, Giant Radscorpions and Super Mutant Masters. It's a bit annoying.

Oh, and I encountered a Death Claw on my first playthrough at level 2.

You make it sound like Barber's Adagio was made for Homeworld. Also, I don't really like how they upped the tempo in Homeworld's version. I wondered if it actually counted. EDIT: I prefer the faster tempo. In terms of game themes with only a choir, I guess this one "counts" more. Chandelier - To All Things. Not as chilling as Adagio for Strings, unfortunately.

I got that on my first playthrough (literally minutes after leaving Megaton, still level 3) and just stood there wondering who the hell was firing a rocket at me.

I'm definitely buying this one, just need to find a copy.

Unbelievable. That doesn't even look like the same game.

It could've been a lot better if they had turned down the lights and made it look more like a dark, messed up space station ala System Shock. Heck, I wonder if you could go back and mod it so it was more like that.

I haven't gotten off Peragus yet.
