Mod to keep the same clothing
Darth_Windu replied to Blarghagh's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I actually made this mod a while back after someone asked over at the TG boards, but it was for KotOR2. I can whip something up for you tomorrow if you want. -
Hmm...odd. You might just have to start another game.

Just use the cheat again, it would disable it.

Why does Man-Exile get so much more "action"?
Darth_Windu replied to babydol's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
You just won the thread. Agreed. That's actually quite disappointing with Jaden Korr, I always play as a gold and black-leather clad blue female Twi'lek - can't get any better. ...moving right along, I think we can all agree that the 'romance options' in KotOR2 sucked majorly, and were rather disappointing especially considering the options from KotOR1. Oh one thing I should note as well - for those of you holding out hope that the TSLRP will restore romance content, sorry to say it doesn't. -
Well I'd also ask people to remember that there are things to add other than just fixing bugs. The big one that comes to mind is journal entries for the HK Factory - at the moment, there aren't any. The mod itself is perfectly playable, but as you can tell there are still bugs that need fixing. How long is takes depends on whether we, the beta testers, find any other bugs and of course how long it takes TG to fix the bugs we've already found.

No, completely different. The Droid Factory involves a HK-47 side-quest when the Exile returns to Telos, and determines what happens at the end of the game. The Droid Planet (M4-78) is a droid planet...obviously...that was originally cut from the game, which some of the content included in the 'Gotos Yacht' part of Nar Shadaa.

No, but Stoney will release a compatible version after the TSLRP is released.

Yes, it was. Kreia even explains everything she did at the end. These were to 1. Stop the 'Sith' from destroying the galaxy 2. Reveal the corruption of the 'Jedi' 3. Guide the Exile to the creation of the new True Jedi Remember that Kreia and the Jedi Council never saw eye-to-eye. She wanted their destruction so that the corruption and stagnancy of the 'Jedi' would be purged, and that a new Jedi Order more in line with the 'proper' Jedi ideals would arise to replace the old. Not at all. Remember that the Exile had to shut off the Force to prevent death, or extreme torture due to the activation of the Mass Shadow Generator. It takes time for those sorts of wounds to heal - but they are the wounds of action, of helping, rather than inaction and closed minds.

I assume you've also never criticized the President of the United States either, because, IIRC, none of you have ever been President of the United States. I also assume you've never said anything bad about murderers because you've never murdered anyone yourself. Am I correct? No, you've missed the point. You would have been correct if I had said "it's unfair to criticise the mod without making one" and not "without playing one". See the difference? As for restoration is depends on how you define the term. You could refer to restoration of only what was made, or what was planned. Possibly even somewhere in between. Even the TSLRP adds 'new' material, even though it is a restoration mod, in the form of Kaevee's voice. Why? Because the written dialogue was there, the models were there, the story was there, but the VO's were missing. Therefore to fully restore that particular scene, 'new' voice-overs had to be added, and yet it is still a restoration.

How is that misdirected? So you're saying that if I called you a moron without knowing you in any way, shape or form that would be fine, but it would be 'idiotic and misdirected' if someone corrected me and said 'you cant call him/her a moron until you actually have some contact with him/her'?
-
Hummel, I think the main point here is that it's unfair of you to criticise the mod without playing. I don't think anyone here has any issues with criticism, so long as it is informed criticism. Without playing the mod, it is simply not possible for you to give this. Sure, Kotor Tool might tell you that there's no dialogue files there, but that doesn't mean that such files don't exist. Again - until you play the mod, your criticism is unfounded, and unfair.

No. No no no no no. The Exile IS the last Jedi, at least when Kreia says it. After all Mira, Atton, Bao-Dur, Brianna, Mical, Visas aren't trained to be Jedi until AFTER that. Secondly the 'Jedi' of Atris, Vrook, Zez-Kai, Kavar, and even Bastilla weren't actually Jedi - they had turned long ago by refusing to help the needy, to protect the innocent, by endlessly contemplating and thinking rather than acting. Essentially the whole point is that the Exile is the last Jedi, or the first of the new, because he followed the path of the true Jedi yet did not fall to the Dark Side like all of the others who followed Revan and Malak.

Just to answer a question about a page ago, the TSLRP is not designed to be compatible with ANY mod. After it is released, other modders will have to make their mods compatible with the TSLRP. The reason for this is because of the huge number of mods out there, and the size of the TSLRP, it simply isn't feasible for the TSLRP team to make it compatible with everything. That said, Stoney has already said he's going to make a TSLRP-compatible version, and I'm 99% sure that the excellent Ultimate Sabre Mod will have a TSLRP-compatible version too.

NVIDIA 8 Family issues
Darth_Windu replied to Clint_johnston22's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Yeah that was an odd one, I have almost the exact system but with only 2Gb of RAM and an 8500GT. I would suggest you remove some of your RAM though, XP doesn't recognise 4Gb and it will actually make your system run slower. -
Just as a quite note, more of Canderous/Mandalore is revealed in the TSLRP. There are also more influence opportunities, though as far as I can tell they don't actually achieve anything.
