  1. Well Marcus, considering you were attacking TG for restoring the deleted content and were claiming that TSL was fine as it is, I think your argument has been shot to tiny little pieces.
  2. Oh and just to drive the final nail into the coffin - (Source - http://www.starwarsknights.com/fullstory.php?id=386)
  3. Ah yes, the Atton/Exile inside the factory was fixed. The problem though is that various fixes cause different problems. For example bug 997 - the first few times I played it, the scene ended the way it was supposed to, but something changed it to operate as it is now, which still hasn't been fixed.
  4. Firstly I just want to say that I don't consider this a flame-fest, it's just a disagreement. Anyway I understand your point, but the mod honestly isn't in good enough form to be released. Most of the restored content is releasable - the battle of Khoonda; Malachor V; the HK-50's and so on. BUT the main issue at the moment is the HK factory. Firstly there are no journal entries at all, so you really don't know what you're supposed to be doing. Secondly there's a bug (which I found and reported) that means the scene doesn't end in the way that it's supposed to. Hell I even ended up with one where HK-47 died inside the factory, and then the Exile and Atton appeared inside! That simply isn't releasable. As for us beta testers being picky sure we are, but then we're supposed to be. Our job is to let the team know about bugs in the mod and whilst the major ones are what we look for, the team also wants to know about smaller issues including down to basic text issues. Are they important to release? Not really, but the team wants the mod as polished as possible before release. At the end of the day, as I said, the mod as it stands just isn't releasable. I have no doubts it will be once Dash is able to get working on it again, but until then people are going to have to be patient. I know it sucks especially because the mod is so anticipated, but at least you know you'll get a quality product at the end.
  5. So hang on - TG is being criticised for doing the work at all, now they're being criticised for doing it too slowly??? Anyway Marcus you really have your nose out of joint for no reason. For example
  6. "The Sith Lords" is just fine the way it is, and no one should hijack a game title to get famous. I see - so everyone that has a website has a massive ego then? Heaven forbid they make a website to, gosh I don't know, inform people about something they might be interested in? I don't see you going around attacking every mod WIP forum thread ever created, so why the TG-hate I wonder? Oh as for the 'messiah complex' - I agree, I HATE it when people use humour to get their point across, people need to be far more serious in todays world. Down with humour! Now personally, I couldn't disagree more that TSL is fine as it is. It's rushed and unfinished - quite blatantly so. Hell even OE admits that TSL is incomplete. Avellone has said it before, and OE even tried to get a content patch. It seems then that you're the only one who thinks TSL is okay as it stands. [quote name='H
  7. Yeah I don't think that's actually possible. It would be great, but unfortunately like with every mod you'll need the PC version.
  8. How about the next time you post, you don't do so out of ignorance? TG NEVER big-noted themselves, never forced people to find out about the cut content, never forced people to get excited about the mod. They are doing what they are doing because they want to - nothing more, nothing less. This is a giant project that no-one else has even attempted, let alone getting as far as TG has. Frankly if you want to have a go at people for doing what they like for the simple reason that YOU have some issue with others being more popular than you, then go right ahead. I on the other hand have a great deal of respect for TG for taking on the project and delivering (at least soon) a product that will provide for a complete TSL experience, an experience that OE wanted to give us but were prevented from doing so by LA.
  9. Actually that's the most plausible theory yet - especially since T3 does something similar when HK notices the navicomputer is voice-locked.
  10. See the memory wipage I get - the blast shots I don't, it just doesn't fit.
  11. Maybe because it has nothing to do with Revan?
  12. No I disagree, Revan had no reason to shoot and possibly destroy HK. Was it G0-T0? Maybe, like many things in TSL, OE made the situation vague enough to be answered by many different theories.
  13. True enough, but from LA's viewpoint there was no point in giving OE more time or funding the OE-requested content patch simply because they knew people would buy a KotOR-sequel anyway.
  14. Not at all, but the simple fact is that the team wants to have a completely finished product before it's released, and as a modder myself, I wouldn't release TSLRP yet either. It's just not complete enough yet and so yes, people will have to be patient. I realise it's annoying, that a lot of us are disappointed with the announcement of TOR as a KotOR3 replacement which then drives up demand for TSLRP. Does it suck that the mod isn't out yet? Sure. But believe me when I tell you that you'll be happy to have waited that little bit longer to have a fully complete and polished game.
  15. Well the problem is - as a recent thread shows - people are going to whinge about the bugs in a private beta, even though it exists as a preliminary build so that testers can find bugs...
  16. Hassat, don't be an ass. Anyway the very reason nothing has been released is because it's still unfinished. As I've said many, many, many, many, many times before, just be patient.
  17. Not true, it's only been a year since the last 'official' update, us beta testers have given many updates since then.
  18. No. KotF was a con, TSLRP exists and works. The problem of course is that it doesn't work well enough to justify a release right now. Dash, like most of us, is quite busy at the moment, so just be patient. Waiting for even a few months (and no, I'm not saying it will take that long) isn't going to kill you.
  19. Read the thread. If you do so, you'll see that I'm not against TOR, and that it's actually there for discussion. Moving right along - Well you were close, it's about TSLRP, not Team Gizka. So can we PLEASE get back on topic, and could the local moderators please clean out the off-topic rubbish?
  20. Guys, can we get back on topic please? I know that TOR isn't what most of us wanted, and yet expected anyway. BUT it really has nothing to do with TSLRP...except that the release of TSLRP will probably be the last we ever see of the single-player KotOR franchise. If you want to go over to the TOR boards and express your opinion, I have a ready-made thread :D http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?p=18811
  21. Extremely unlikely, but still at least I'll actually want to play this, rather than 'Star Wars: Lets Grab as much Cash as Possible 2'.
  22. It wasn't fixed 'years ago' because the problem didn't exist years ago. Part of the point of having the beta testers test every build 'clean' so to speak is because often, a fix for one issue causes a bug further up the chain. In the previous builds the bug where I couldn't get out of the HK factory didn't exist - evidently something that happened, most likely relating to a bug fix - caused the problem to occur. That's also the reason that TSLRP has taken so long. It's not a simple matter of fixing each individual bug, it's a matter of making sure that everything works properly with the fixes in place. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.
  23. Keep in mind of course it depends greatly on what bugs we find in 1.0b11 (assuming there are some), how quickly we find them, and how easy they are to fix.
  24. Actually on the whole T3 thing. Did HK-47 go with Revan as well?
  25. Exactly what I was thinking. I'd offer up a comment, but gotta say I'm still 100% uninterested in helping thieves.
