  1. 7 months??? No, I don't think so. The game is pretty complete as it is, and at least two of the game-stoppers we've found have been fixed. There are still some significant issues, such as the balancing of the HK factory, but I really couldn't see it taking anywhere near 7 months.
  2. Well a lot of it I think is just the game being tempremental - for example a group of HK-50's at one point didn't attack me and just stood around doing nothing, yet when I saved and re-loaded they did trigger and attack. I've had quite a few of those sorts of instances, and it's just the game being odd I think.
  3. Well basically the bug I found - the one that stops the game at Nar Shaddaa - I should have classified as a 'block' instead of a 'major'. Basically it just means that it blocks progress, it ends the game.
  4. To be perfectly honest, TSLRP is a fantastic mod, but in the end is doesn't change the outcome of the game or any of the essential storyline. However it does make the game a LOT more fun and it does feel like a more complete product, and certainly makes your party members far, far more important than in the original KotOR or the vanilla TSL. Just keep in mind that the vast majority of those are just simple text issues where the text and voice-over doesn't match up. Quite a few also have nothing to do with TSLRP but with the vanilla game.
  5. Hi folks - not sure if this has been floated before but I'll say it anyway. What I would like to see in KotOR3 is, among other things, the ability to set the default attack for all characters. I don't mean 'use force' or 'agressive' or 'grenaider' etc. I'm talking about things like 'Rapid Shot', 'Flurry' etc. Personally, I use those two attacks the most, and I'm probably lazy but it gets somewhat tedious having to micro-manage each character in every little battle. So, instead of just having 'attack', I would like to have the option to set each characters generic attack to various feat abilities, assuming they have already learnt them of course. Thoughts?
  6. Hi folks. Excuse me for asking what is probably a stupid question, but where do I go to discuss KotOR3? The last time I was here there were heaps of K3 topics on this forums, most notably the 'idea's thread. What happened?
  7. I'm guessing Sith use Red because it reflects their power base - rage, aggression. Same thing for the Jedi (blue) because it reflects clamness, clear thinking etc. After all, thats why the Dark Side is represented by Red and the Light Side is represented by Blue. As for the colour bonuses, I actually liked KotOR1 linking colours with certain classes - i'd never thought about that before, so I figured there could be bonuses which would aid the Jedi/Sith that would normally carry that coloured sabre. As for the size of the bonus, that of course would be up to the exceptionally talented people at Obsidian
  8. As the title says. I was thinking about this, and really with the colour of your lightsabre, the only thing it changes is how your sabre looks to you - no-one else seems to care, and they really don't do anything. So, I though there could be bonuses like Green (Jedi Consular) = Wisdom/Willpower Blue (Jedi Guardian) = Constitution/Fortitude Yellow (Jedi Sentinal) = Intelligence/Skills Red (Sith) = Strength/Attack Purple (Just plain cool) = Dexterity/Reflex as for the other colours, I really don't know. They don't do much for me and didn't even exist in KotOR (like Orange, Silver etc). Thoughts?
  9. Well for the '100+ hours' idea, it really doesn't matter how much people play in one session. After all, even if you only play two hours at a time, you'll still get the whole game, and it will last that much longer.
  10. Hi folks, I actually posted these with my review of KotOR2 but that was closed so here we go. My hopes for KotOR3- 1. Obviously, the first thing I would like is the problems listed above to be fixed. KotOR really needs to be more stable and with less bugs, especially if it makes it to three games. 2. Coruscant. I really, really want to see Coruscant if there is a KotOR3. Aside from being the coolest world in Star Wars, it also provides massive storyline options that could include the Jedi Temple, the Senate, perhaps even investigating a high-profile murder and coming across an old acquaintance
  11. I agree that skills are good, and adding them into dialogue and using them for upgrading/creating items was good as well. All I was saying in respect to upgrading is that they could tone doen the number of upgrades, it just gets a little confusing.
  12. Scmarth - what can I say, i'm a film purist I also see what you mean with Heal/Drain Life - good idea, but i'm still not comfortable with the idea of Jedi using Force Lightning. Calax - well, my only aim in creating this thread was to express myself and hopefully try and get through to the people who matter. I doubt this is going to happen, but if the Moderators decide to close, there's nothing I can do about it. I know the ending was due to time constraints, but the problem still exists and there seems to be no moves by LA to fix it. Wiggin - 3. I never said I don't like weapon upgrading - i do. What I don't like though is the massive amount of different upgrades and different upgradeable weapons - to me, it's just confusing. As for a Council in KotOR3 - who said they would live for long or have much to do with your quest? Either way though, I would like to see some recurring characters like Mira and Bastilla - for some reason I just found them compelling.
  13. The Good- 1. First and foremost, the Shyraak Caves on Korriban. This was brilliant, and by far the best part of either KotOR or KotOR2 because it gave so much depth to the character and explored the emotional and mental side of Star Wars, rather than the generic
  14. Ender - more or less, however these suggestions are now part of a public forum and therefore not subject to ownership laws, but also companies want to know what gamers want because, after all, we are the people who buy the games. Anyway, I have a few more things to add from my post (page 6) - A new Jedi Council - the obvious candidates here would be Bastilla, Juhani, Jolee, Mira, Atton, Visas, Handmaiden, Disciple and Bao-Dur - maybe find three other misc Jedi - In a new storyline, kill most of the new council - say for example the Sith Empire (the one Kreia talks about) attacks and utterly crushes the Republic - after an attack on the Jedi Temple, only two or so of the Council are alive, kill everyone else off - MAKE DUELING BETTER - I've said it before but this really needs to happen - in a previous game, Mira had NO two-weaps feats and yet was able to wield two sabre's with an attack modifier of around 30 - Multi-game villians - is anyone else sick of beating the worst villians in the galaxy only to have two more crop up? - Better fleshed-out villians - I was a bit confused and dissapointed with Darth Nihilus in KotOR2. After all, he (it) is the main person on the box and game box and is supposed to have this power to suck the life out of people, and destroyed a world of force-sensitives - and yet you kick he butt half way through? I figured from the way he was described, Nihilus would be a far more dangerous enemy than Sion or Traya Thanks again, (probably) more to come soon
  15. Ok, just have to get this off my chest - I loathe Pazaak in the KotOR series. Sometimes, it's alright, but at other, more frequent times, it is extremely frustrating and annoying. For example, in a game I am playing at the moment, at Nar Shadar (sp?) the doid which is supposed to be easy got about 4 cosecutive natural 20's, and beat me about 8 times in a row. In the same game though, the Champ never beat me, nor did the Ithorian on Dantooine playing for 750 credits per match. One other big problem is where you can skip matches. On Nar Shadar, if you fix the droid before playing, are male or have atton and approach the Twi'lek woman, threaten the Duros and then convince the Champ to give it up, you have just cheated yourself out of 2400 credits! This really needs to be looked at - after all, why not have the droid give you what you otherwise would have won as a 'thank you' for fixing it? Overall, Pazaak is annoying and frustrating. The computer cheats extensively most of the time, and frankly it's not fun. Swoop Bike racing relies on skill, as does the turret gun (which there should be more of) but really, something needs to be done about Pazaak. Thoughts?
  16. Alright, first off I'll just say KotOR was the first RPG I ever bought and I absolutely loved it, so buying KotOR2 was always on the menu. On Saturday I bought it, on Wednesday I finished it and for the most part, it was great, however if a KotOR3 is going to be made, this is what I would like to see - Make the game longer, much, MUCH longer. 30 or so hours is great, but I for one would love to see a 100 hour or more epic - Larger areas - more of a problem in KotOR2 than the original, the aireas just seemed really small especially Dantooine and Korriban - INCLUDE CORUSCANT - please, please, please put Coruscant in the next game. As the capital of the Republic, it would make a great please to keep going back to and for a finale (destroying the Senate or saving it) - More of a pro-KotOR2 thing, just have to say the vision sequences in the Shyrack caves on Korriban were BRILLIANT - far better than anything else in either games, I felt that it did a huge amount for understanding who and what your character used to be, especially if you went there before Dxun - The ability to make weapons - you'd want to have a character speciallising in this or something, but it would be nice to be able to make weapons as an expansion of the construction concept in KotOR2 - for example, all I got in my last game were double-bladed sabre's, yet what I wanted was single-bladed versions, so why not let me break them down and build new ones? - More emphasis on Dark/Light - what I mean is that, for example, people seem to react to you the same no matter if you are wearing a Dark Jedi robe and red double-bladed sabre, or if you are wearing a Jedi robe with a single blue/green etc sabre - wouldn't YOU react differently? - Restrict Double-bladed sabre's to the Dark side, and two-sabres to the light - after all, Double-bladed are supposed to be more aggressive, and we only see a Sith wield one (TPM) whereas we see two Jedi wielding two sabres (AotC) - adds more of a difference between the two - More multi-planet quests - much like the bounty hunting quest in KotOR that took you to Manaan, Tatooine, Kashyyyk and Dantooine. - Sabre customisations - be able to make your own sabre for the main character only to just make them look a bit more different - Another pro-KotOR2 point - GREAT job on second-round Onderon and Dantooine - on Onderon, I really felt like I was in a race against time, and after second Dantooine (LS) I felt like "oh no, the s**t has really hit the fan!" - keep more of this in - In terms of the main character, I would like to see Revan back - dont know why, just thought Revan was more compelling, especially since you actually had a name... - Big point here - please dont rush the game - I would be happy to wait a few months for it do be done right - I loved KotOR2, but the confontation between GO-TO and the Remote is never resolved, and I never understood why Mira was wondering around by herself. Also, I never got why Malachor V was such a big deal - what was the atrocity? What did the mass gebnerator do? What was my role there? These questions weren't answered - I would also like to see some defence against Daark Side powers - for example, give LS'ers a feat or force tree that gives big bonuses against some DS powers like Force Lightning if they have a Sabre, but reduce their defence against them if they dont have their sabre - Finally (for now) - there needs to be a really, really big boost for the "Dueling" feats - after all, I gave Mira all of the Dueling feats but none of the two-weapons fighting, and in the end when I was fighting Hanharr, I gave her two sabres and she had around a +30 attack modifier - there needs to be a point to Dueling Thank you for your time
