  1. The friends I saw the movie with think that they're setting up captain bible and his fishy lover as replacements for Will and Keira Knightly.
  2. The problem with any limited resource is that people generally don't just keel over when they run out of something they really need, they tend to to go after it... aggressively if necessary *cough* USA and oil *cough*. I suspect that they'll start going after the, ahem, punani as Ali G puts it, way before they start dying. Are you implying that India and China will invade a nearby country in order to collect females in 20 years?
  3. I think part of the issue at lower levels is you can't upgrade anything except for the basic "witcher" patch for leveling. So you have a much smaller option pool. I JUST unlocked all the other trainings so things should get easier but it's still frustrating.
  4. This is actually what I'm doing as well. Witcher 2 is great and all, but I need turn down the difficulty before I strangle myself with the games coding. I feel like I'm about to play "He's a Pirate" during a section of Fable 3.
  5. Soooo... Basically... the two most populated asian countries are now unconsciously breeding themselves out of existence. Interesting
  6. Hanging with friends up north. Saw Pirates, Kick Ass, and a bit of Spartacus. Honestly, Spartacus feels like it should have been an all cgi film given the amount of obvious blues screen effects in there. Honestly, if feels a bit like a summer block buster movie trying to be a TV show on the shows budget, with all the violence and nudity there to keep everyone entertained.
  7. Pirates. Worth the price of admission, but not the 3d. It was relatively obvious that 3d was only for a few specific scenes near the end. Also there was just to many plot lines they tried to tie together. And used one group (the spanish) for a total of five seconds at the start and end of the film.
  8. Der, I think you should have been playing L4D with us last night.
  9. One big thing I picked up from that article is that Squeenix's recent final fantasies have actually cost them one of their biggest investors. Also pointed out that FFXIII was, by all accounts, designed but with each design team in a different room not realizing what they were doing for the end point
  10. I've figured out that combat is basically "hit and run" with your signs and sword.... I've JUST gotten to act 1 so take it as you will but basically I've been running around with aard and then hitting somebody as they're charging me. Roll away, if he's stunned get the quick auto-kill.
  11. Both tutorial zones are one shot only zones that you go through. They're both technically in different points in time than the main game, the Defiants version being in the future, after the big bad has basically taken over the world, and the guardians being in the past when the King went crazy and released the big bad on the world.
  12. http://kotaku.com/5803573/a-planet-without-square+enix Somebody breaking down how Square-enix seems to be slowly falling off it's game.
  13. Beware, if you accidentally hit it to insane, you can't reload your game (as Don Jag's found out a few nights ago when trying to set it back to easy)
  14. Warrior. They only really only do melee fighting and tanking.
  15. Went into work on my new, later, hours. Got there and instantly got told "Turn around, you and these other people are going to run the store on the other side of town." We drive out there and basically end up running this thing for about five hours. We had one person who was basically ineffectual (all she knew was front counter and was otherwise useless). The manager from our store was getting frustrated because nobody at that store wanted to learn a new position. Ended up going back to my "home" store and finishing out my shift. Twas overall an interesting day.
  16. *shrugs* I may just go through with a "clean" playthough, then turn and do Witcher 1 then back into witcher 2
  17. I'm trying to dig up a savegame from Witcher one with the Shani-neutral-adda saved choices in particular.
  18. Yeah, but you gotta backtrack FAAR. Btw, does the prologue change exactly what happens depending on your answers to the very first set of options?
  19. Roll. Roll. Some more ROLLIIIING. ? And I thoguht I'd tried the Igni sign on the planks... guess I'll go back and have a look
  20. I R interested! Second is already gone... Soon in pm!
  21. *boots game, plays 10 minutes* How the heck am I supposed to get back into that alleyway to get to the temple secret passage!? *feels incredibly dense*
  22. Have to see how it goes, but it's quite possible that they won't put anything on sale that's actually SELLING normally. So the sort of stuff you go into gamestop and find there for four years straight... like the Dirty Dancing video game!
  23. Hmmm, I wonder if Mus is going to drag any other random people back to the boards.
  24. The daily deals are probably designed for the less than popular items to be sold, or at least be known.
  25. Sorta kinda been trying to get back into witcher and failing at it.
