KOTOR 3 under production... or was...
The Omnifarious Host replied to Mad_Scientist's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
One more thing. Lucas Arts may be doing more than a little house cleaning. LFL may be another American Company that is engaging in out sourcing to Asia. Animators in Asia are highly skilled and as cheap as a bag of peanuts. I came upon this article earlier this year: Lucas Expands Film Empire in Asia -
KOTOR 3 under production... or was...
The Omnifarious Host replied to Mad_Scientist's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Don't be such an alarmist my friend. Lucas Arts has been restructuring for some time now. Music for KOTOR was done outside Bioware's studio as well by Jeremy Soule. I wouldn't be surprised if an early stage team on KOTOR 3 got layed off. They probably are no longer needed as Bioware and Obsidian seem to have struck an interesting partnership. Kinda like, "We supply the gaming engines and development tools, You develop the games." Let KOTOR stay in the hands of 3rd party developers who have the tools and the experience to continue taking the KOTOR franchise foward. Let Lucas Arts handle the musical scores, the cinematic cut scenes, the voice acting, the marketing and publishing. It's a good arrangement, and it's working. "If it aint broke..... " -
Bioware provided a healthy amount of screenshots and concept art. They weren't long on game info, certainly not as detailed about gameplay as Obsidian. Some Devs were really great to talk to, others gave you the impression that they were being forced to talk to gamers and wanted no parts of us. <_< People shouldn't be so impatient. As for people thinking that Lucas Arts is laughing at us, think again. They are probably hard at work on the Official Sith Lords Site and don't have time to engage in games to torture us. New Info I'm hoping for: Coruscant named as one of the 7 mission planets(I want the Jedi Temple in the game!) Some solid info on Atris(Apprentice?, Love Interest?) Some Answers to Questions about the Star Forge, Who's making Cameo apperances?, Cap at 30 or 40? Or no Cap at all?

Questions the the Devs - Take 2
The Omnifarious Host replied to EnderAndrew's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Standing before the Jedi Council on Dantooine is the real kicker. Your face is rotting and could come apart if you sneezed to hard and they don't even see it. It made me wish I could yell it out to these clueless Jedi Masters. Master Vrook: But beware of the dark side............ Revan: Master Vrook look at me........... Master Vrook: This quest may take you down an all too familiar path...... Revan: Master Vrook, Look at me!!! -
Have any of you considered at all that Atris might be a kid that you train as your apprentice? Mission was still in her teens and guys were all talking about how "hot" she was. Atris looks young

who is genoharadan? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> It's a side quest. Those idiots who think what they do has an impact on the entire galaxy. They sucker you into becoming a hit man for them on Manaan. I don't think you should be able to hire a Sith like some simple Bounty Hunter. I ignore that quest when playing now. I heard that there will be no dueling rings in TSL.

***UNOFFICAL KOTOR 2 : THE SITH LORDS FAQ***
The Omnifarious Host replied to Gromnir's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
So what happens if 2 characters are unconsious and Rand the only one left? Does he keep fighting? That makes no sense. Your party would be invincible. Unless, there's a new "knock out" feat in Kotor2 and Rand is immune! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> It's already been stated that if Rand is the last person standing then he can be knocked out. It only works if another character in the party is still standing. -
Weekend Programmer #2
The Omnifarious Host replied to Akari's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
its been said that the game will be slightly longer, and maybe the amount of xp needed to level up will be lower <{POST_SNAPBACK}> With 60 new feats and powers you will need a higher level cap to be able to reach a fair number of them. -

Not that I'm sitting in the Devs chair, but I think it was that lightsabers now have 6 upgrade cavities in all. Of these six, 3 crystals cavities and then 3 other cavities for components to the lightsaber. Sounds cool doesn't it? -
KOTOR2 At Christmas??
The Omnifarious Host replied to nik_bg's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I knew from the beginning that simultaneous releases would cause difficulty for folks at Obsidian. -
KOTOR2 At Christmas??
The Omnifarious Host replied to nik_bg's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
So let me see if I understand this correctly. The publisher may be using some variant of the Orthodox Christian calendar, that celebrates Christmas on January 19? I don't know if I should laugh or laugh. -
Stats for prestiage classes.
The Omnifarious Host replied to ACDC_Sabbath's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Oh lord, I thought someone would have figured out by now that I actually play the Pen and Paper game. That's why I stuck with them. Put your tounge back in your mouth. gezzz! The rudeness at Obsidian marches on. I have no hope for the folks on these boards. -

The Omnifarious Host replied to ACDC_Sabbath's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
He really wasn't much of a Sith Lord at all. The gased up stats are an insult considering how quickly I took him out. If were not for the breaks in combat I would have finished him alot faster. -

The Omnifarious Host replied to ACDC_Sabbath's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
For the most part I'll accept what you are saying, but I still think the stats for Malak at Wizards is accurate because the Malak you meet on the Star Forge has gased up stats as an end game boss. What I will do is check his stats for the duel aboard the Leviathan. See where Malak starts and then where he ends up. The Wizard stats are at the start of a game or campaign not at the END, so I think they would best represent Malak. And he was a Sith Lord. It will be interesting if we can have Sith Lord stats such as StarForge Malak in TSL since we now will have access to the Sith Lord class. -

and you have arrived at the same stats? -

The Omnifarious Host replied to ACDC_Sabbath's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I'm afraid that just won't do. Those are game owners, not Bioware developers, and they didn't give account for his Sith Lord prestige class. The thread author doesn't even explain how he arrived at those stats. If he only stated where he got those stats it would have legitimized his claims. -

Bioware? Bioware set up an OFFICIAL stat for Malak? Could you link me to it? -
