  3. Warhammer Online It's awesome CE Headstart starts soon
  4. A better option than disabling UAC is to use TweakUAC and switch it to silent mode. This will keep UAC on but get shot of all the pop ups. Another way to do this is explained here. You really shouldn't disable UAC as it really is more than just the annoying pop ups. I used to have a link to somewhere that detailed the various components of UAC but I lost it somehow but what I can remember is that UAC also controls things like IE7's protected mode and links with Windows installer (needed for Windows updates I believe). Here's a better explanation.
  5. Stay away from Zonealarm. It's a Grade A resource hog (unless it's changed recently). And have you thought of Comodo? Comodo For home use it's free. Also if you're using Vista there's really nothing wrong with Windows' firewall. I use it but I'm also behind a router for that extra security.
  6. It's an indie RPG. I bought it from here TotalGaming.net
  7. AMD Athlon 64 X2 3800+ 2GB G.Skill ZX CAS2 Ram ASUS A8N SLI Deluxe mobo ATI x1800 XT 512MB Creative X-FI Extreme Music Logitech Z-5500 5.1 speakers And a crap crt monitor, though hopefully my system should last awhile before it needs another upgrade......besides the monitor that is.
  8. AMD to buy ATI? Did a search on the forums and nothing turned up, so hopefully it might be of some interest to somebody besides me ( I have an AMD processor and an ATI card). It does seem unlikley like it said in the report due to a likely conflict with Nvidia and that AMD heve expansion plans.....but who know's?
  9. The BBFC rate both films and games in the UK. There was an article about it in PC Gamer awhile back.
  10. Dammit! I knew I forgot to remove something :">
  11. The first video in WH40K Dawn of War, that video was almost exactly how I imagined my tabletop battles to be. Although if my Predator or Dreadnought died as easily as they did in the video, I would cry......then swear alot.
  12. This is mine, which I had thought was pretty cluttered until I seen some of the pics in this thread.
  13. Mine is a Matrix2-SLI AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual-Core 3800+ ASUS A8N-SLI Deluxe motherboard 1GB Corsair XMS 160GB HD 256MB GeForce 6800XT Creative Labs Sound Blaster X-Fi Xtreme Music
  14. You could use the Knights Save Game editor to give yourself that feat if I remember correctly. I can't remember where I downloaded it, but if you google it you should find the editor somewhere.
  15. For me I would say Necromunda, hopefully with a big 18 certificate slapped on the case.
  16. IWD2, X2 The Threat and on the odd occasion CM 03/04, BF2, Freelancer, BG2+TOB, NWN, FO 1+2, Dawn of War, Dungeon Siege 2, Jedi Academy, KotOR 1+2, Max Payne 2, Call To Power 2, VtMB, Deus Ex, Call of Duty 1+2 and that's about it I think. On another note, in IWD2 does anything change in the ice temple part if you choose to be a cleric of Talos? Just that it mentions in game that Auril is subservient to Talos, so do you get any extra dialogue or something?
  17. I had a mini disk player and loved it, the software was bad though i agree, I i had to convert files from whatever to ATRAC. Sonic Stage was the software, the cons on their software is that they try to regulate the customer from burning music to CD's, saving your library means you have to register your library, and the last register you have are the songs that will be saved. They do now support MP3's miraculously. The software is pretty and wel organized but lacks extra functions. I love how easily it is to burn a CD on Itunes, and how Itunes has a music store. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I have the NW-HD5 mp3 player and I would have loved it if Sony had made managing music files as well as my iriver did before I dropped it. The iriver was so simple, just copy & paste or move the files onto the disk. No software required.
  18. My only advice would be to stay away from Sony, at least until they sort out that horrible software of theirs.
  19. Wow, that thing just looks evil... And on topic I have a katana but unfortunately not a real one.
  20. I love this game but since I got stuck (read: thrashed, hammered, shafted and/or raped) on the Omega Pirate, I haven't played it since. Shame really.
  21. R.I.P Richard I think I'll now watch my Richard Pryor Live In Concert DVD and laugh my ass off in his memory.
  22. I've been trying to play X3:Reunion but I'm still getting crap framerates even with both patches. Though reading through the Egosoft forums shows I'm not the only person to suffer from low fps despite exceeding most of the recommended specs. I'd love to see this game running smoothly as it is has beautiful graphics. Other than that it's mostly been Dungeon Siege 2 and Gran Turismo 4 which has me seriously thinking about cheating................God I hate doing the licences
  23. I don't know if their referring to the official movie patch or not but to quote the Christmas PCZONE UK Issue 162 (page 113, right side under Snippets) "Star Wars Movies If you're a fan of KOTOR II despite its low-res movies, you'll be happy to know that NVIDIA's teamed up with Obsidian Entertainmentto bring you an unofficial patch that updates all of the ingamemovies with gorgeous hi-res versions.May the Force be with them." And here's the Link Looking at the file names they appear similiar to the official patches file names, so maybe someone got duped.
