The simplest appetising dish I can think of would be soup. First you're going to want to set some finely chopped onions frying gently in a pan with only a little oil. While these are softening, crush a clove or two of garlic and sling these in. Next cube up about half your tin of SPAM and toss that into the oil on a high heat. If you have any paprika add it now. Once all this is fried up reasonably crunchy pour in a bunch of red lentils and some stock (lamb stock works best). Add a half teaspoon of peanut butter and stir. Simmer, while adding water and stirring until you have a thick soup - about half an hour. My rice and SPAM was great, btw.
  2. I couldn't help laughing there, Gorgon, at the idea that the most unattractive thing about my body was the half-inch circular scar on my shoulder! I'd happily have the words 'pork and beans' tattooed on my neck if it would give good odds of preventing cancer.
  3. Can't say I agree. But I'm far too clinical as the main protagonist to warrant a movie.
  4. What? Wait? What? You're in the UK?

The delicious taste of SPAM cannot be denied.
  6. I notice that the BBC today announced that HPV is also linked to throat cancer. via 'certain' methods. Which should surely nail the issue.
  7. We had a really good magazine called Roleplayer Independent back in the day. If they'd had the option of being online based they might still be with us.
  8. I don't know if you meant in this way, but you can get the WHFRP novels from Games Workshop stores, and places like Amazon. My favourites would have to be just anything by Dan Abnett, and the Konrad series. Another good book would be the compilation Ignorant Armies
  9. Surely social welfare could be implemented in a better way than SS, though. Fair enough. Did you have any ideas, or was it a general observation?

All this talk of SPAM has made me hungry. I went out and bought SPAM today. I am just about to cook it up with rice and peas now, a few fresh chillis and some coriander.
  11. I read left to right. When I found the correct option I ticked it.
  12. I think we'll see PTSD being caused long before physical damage.
  13. I've always regarded philosophers the same way I do rowers. They're clearly doing something I can't but the question remains WHY they are doing it. This is why we have psychotherapists.

  16. The film 'Sonatine' made in 1984 covers this subject really well. If you're interested.

Why would I lock a thread that is indirectly about Minnesota - the loon state?
  18. I'm strongly in favour of having a safety net to catch people who may have wound up with no personal plan through no fault of their own.

Spam is very nice. Put it cubed with rice and peas and some fresh chillis.
  20. I confess that the technical specs sound good. But I also confess I became so angry with the Vaio interface rubbish that I nearly threw the last one I worked on out the window. The only thing that stopped me was the thought that to do so would deprive me of the pleasure of throwing the damned thing at an actual Sony marketing swine if I ever happened across them.
  21. And yet that is your typical inheritance, and that is what annoys me. That and attitude. Well, that is true. I shan't deny I know many men and women who are that way.
  22. Then I gues you won't be wanting this.... Give me a break anyone would accept an inheritance. Don't despise people for that. Despise them for doing nothing whatsoever constructive with all the free time and money.
