I don't know what brainwallowing would be, as opposed to brainwashing. But I like the idea.

See, that's America being genius right there. In the UK we've pretty much rolled over and accepted defeat on private drones.

I hear you brother. I wear a crucifix on my necklace just in case I ever encounter a vampire. What if you get turned into a vampire? You have to think these things through. I think preventing that is what the cross is for.

We're pretty much covered, full stop. So long as it's not elective, like cosmetics or gender reassignment. I'm not saying its' always great. But it's not for want of trying, usually. Anyway, I hate the use of financial checks for the simple reason that I know the half baked bull**** they use to compile them. Really it's got bugger all to do with the applicant, and everything to do with the kind of risks/terms banks are willing to lend under.

I think so. i don't really understand how radiant works. Anyone care to explain? I know I could look it up, but I want an intelligent answer, not some random cyber-yokel.

Be fair. New things are being tried all the time. But big money goes for formula that work. It's about making 'hamburgers'. Cheap ingredients, well known formula, given good packaging. Hamburgers sell. I'm going to go off on one and suggest that piracy has played a big part. If any of you remember Football Factory, it was an independent film, sweat blood (literally) and tears went into making it. Result very positive. Millions of copies sold. Unfortunately almost all of those copies was a bootleg. Blockbuster crowd pleasers can still get big returns by theatrical releases. Successful 'grower' films just get pirated.

Whatever you do, don't propose. He'll need the Amulet of Mara for that, silly. OMG! I can see that now, she's coming over tonight and the moment she walks in "Is than an amulet of Mara you're wearing?" How would I explain that to Lydia my Skyrim wife? Shout her off a cliff. It's how I got rid of that fething munchkin death horse.

In fairness to GD, small guns can be a win. The worst gun in the world is one you left at home. The second to worst gun is the one you took with and lost at some point.

And upon White Americans, at that. Hah. Well, I was painfully reminded of that scary sh** LoF/Cycloneman etc used to post about rights being constructed not inalienable. I guess I'd say they arise from a universal sense and logical foundation. But I can totally see why it would seem like God for exactly this reason. Still, they were won for the Americans in blood. I'm not sure it was actually worth breaking with Britain using blood. We're not so dissimilar now. But then maybe we wouldn't have been if the political establishment hadn't been traumatised by losing America. I have a generally Churchillian and affectionate regard for our cousins. And now I want waffles. And brandy. And a cigar.

Handgun I've liked the best was a simple Colt .38 special revolver. Took it hiking for shooting ne'erdowells and baboons.

Yeah. I'd pitch it a different way and say: You know how much fun you've been having with this one? then coming home afterwards and contemplating that fun on your own in peace and quiet... It's a winning formula. Don't mess with it. Terms and conditions apply. Walsingham is a lonely old bastard. The value of Walsingham's advice may go down as well as up.

If I were feeling unkind I might ask if - given the popularity of being Jesus - this doesn't say more about your federal agencies.

I would advise them to call a registered tech-priest as the soul of the machine-servers appears troubled. I would also advise putting some gothic flying buttresses on your desk.

Query: The interwebz seems pretty united against Scientology. But why? It's not as if anyone acting in their name has shot any schoolgirls for wanting to learn to read. My personal view is that yes, they are a cult, not a religion. But I find it fascinating that we get all conflicted and debate-y about just about every other issue. But Tom Cruise rallied everybody at once.

The Science of Why We Don't Believe in Science
Walsingham replied to alanschu's topic in Way Off-Topic
I'm siding heavily with Ros here. I mean when repeating rifles first became available - and breech-loaders before them - many armies turned them down. Fiddly, complex training, expensive etc etc. But ultimately, the negatives were ironed out, and the fundamental benefits won out. Comparing modern nuclear plants to ones built in the 50s as like for like is no more sensible than comparing aeroplanes built over the same time span. -

I like the last quote. It sums up the whole sodding article. Actually I think you'll find that without the movie V for Vendetta, there wouldn't be people marching around in those masks. You fething moron.

With genuine respect, I don't believe those rights were bestowed by God. They were bestowed in blood. By Americans. Upon Americans.

My analysis is that militants are keen to provoke Israel into acting unilaterally in Sinai, thereby forcing the Egyptian government to counter or look weak at a time when they cannot afford to do either.

That does indeed sound like an ill-informed law. Magazines are designed to be so swiftly interchangeable that it is more or less moot how big each one is. Plus as you say, it's not hard to fit a larger one.
