  1. [Description of the issue] I discovered this while using Blinding Strike with a sabre equipped. I clicked on the enemy and my character moved in to perform the blinding strike, but while he was on the way, I switched to arbalet. My character didn't use the arbalet from range but instead walked up to the enemy and shot at him from melee range. [DETAILED list of steps to reproduce the issue AND what to look for] Example: 1) Have a melee weapon equipped 2) Be at a distance from an enemy 3) Use a single target ability/talent that requires a hit on an enemy to be performed 4) While your character is moving in on the enemy, switch to a ranged weapon 5) The character doesn't stop and use the ranged weapon from a distance [Expected behaviour] The character should stop and fire the ranged weapon to perform a blinding strike, or a similar ability. [Other remarks / Comments] I know this is more of a caveat than a bug, but it should at least be noted somewhere that this is how it works.
  2. [Description of the issue] Casting a healing spell for example, by clicking on a party member's portrait will not make the caster cast the spell on the character but on the ground underneath that portrait. [DETAILED list of steps to reproduce the issue AND what to look for] Example: 1) Select a caster character with some healing spell. 2) Select the healing spell. 3) Click on another party member's portrait 4) The caster moves if necessary to get in range for casting the spell and casts the spell on the spot on the ground under the portrait. [Expected behaviour] The character whose portrait was clicked should be the target for the cast healing spell. [Other remarks / Comments] I think I saw this fixed in a previous bb version, or was I wrong?
  3. [Description of the issue] When you open a category of crafting Recipes in the Crafting interface, the list of recipes and their categories scrolls to the top. [DETAILED list of steps to reproduce the issue AND what to look for] Example: 1) Open your inventory 2) Open the Crafting interface 3) Expand enough categories so that a scrollbar appears 4) Scroll to the bottom and expand another category. 5) The list scrolls to the top. [Expected behaviour] The list should not scroll at all, or if it scrolls it should scroll to the top of the last expanded category (if that is possible within the list's total height). [Other remarks / Comments] If it should scroll, it would be preferable to have some animation to the scrolling.
  4. [Description of the issue] When you are in a shop and one or more characters have their inventory full, and you add an item to a character's inventory who is lower in the list, the player character still makes the encumbered sound. I guess the logic is such that the game successively tries to add the item to each character's inventory from top to bottom. [DETAILED list of steps to reproduce the issue AND what to look for] Example: 1) Have one or more character's have a full inventory. 2) Open a merchant interface 3) Send an item from an unencumbered character to the trade section 4) Return the item from the trade section to that character's inventory. 5) The character who was encumbered and was before the unencumbered character in the order of characters makes a sound as if you tried to add that item to his inventory [Expected behaviour] The item should go directly to an inventory slot of the character you took it from. I think this should be the behavior in general - an item should go back to the character you took it from, not to the first free slot found on any character. [Other remarks / Comments] Check out the screenshot for an illustration. If I return that dagger, it will go to Aloth's inventory but my PC will still say "I can't move now!" On a sidenote, please add weight value and encumbrance to the game!
  5. Are you using the MP3 or FLAC files? I'm using the FLAC files and both of those tracks fade out like they should I've only listened to the mp3s.
  6. NO, the system is fine. You don't have to use the stash if you don't want too. I'm not using it, except for the crafting components which go there by default and I like the game much better that way. Still, I think it would be better with an actual item weight/encumberance system. @Eurhetemec, I don't give a hoot what you're a veteran of, and I don't plan to explain anything to you. The game is single player, so your perception is yours and mine is mine.
  7. I will look for tough fights because I've just reached the area where gameplay can branch off, but I am pretty confident that, as long as someone understands the basics of combat, he can't be in trouble even on hard diffciulty. The basics. And I gave you a link. Now I'm off slaughtering the bear population of the Dyrwood.
  8. Amen. Also to OP: You can restrict stash as an option in settings. You're not the first confused person to bring up this argument. But you are wrong. The "restricted" is actually quite unrestricted when you place something in it. I can't take objects out of my stash when I'm not in a town, big deal. I can still fill my endless inventory with junk and then sell that junk directly from the stash, without even taking it to the inventory when I'm in town, the place where I'm allowed to send items from my stash o my inventory. O_o? What exactly is restricted about that?
  9. OP, try these videos, there are many of them, by the same guy, and they are very in-depth:
  10. I didn't think you were taking the whole subject that seriously. Yeah, I agree a browser is better than clicking through portraits. And the more portraits you have available, the more you have to click, and we all want many portraits.
  11. I'm playing on Hard/Expert right now, not feeling I miss anything important in terms of helpers.
  12. So, "Tradition, son" it is then. And IMO, the EEs are a disgrace. But don't mind me
  13. Man, most of these are really wonderful. Thank you to all who are contributing!
  14. About Baldur's Gate's portrait browser, do you mean the Enhanced editon or the original? I've only played BGI with the BGT mod, so I don't know.
  15. I have a long rant against the stash, but I'll repost it at some later point
  16. Hi Justin! My hat is off to your talent and I really mean it! I don't know what went wrong though, but heritage-hill and od-nua-a end abruptly, in the middle of the music.
  17. I've started listening to the OST, and I was wondering is this all the music recorded for the game, or there is stuff in the game that can be heard that isn't in the soundtrack. It all sounds amazingly good, and I like it very much. I wish the mp3s had their metadata set though. Also, I noticed that "pe-dungeon-heritage-hill.mp3" is incomplete, the music ends abruptly. I'm listening through the rest of it now.
  18. Interesting, and I thought it felt too easy on Hard/Expert mode Then again, the BB must have been harder and set the mark too high.
  19. I've noticed that if you fill your inventory and you try to pick up an item the character makes a comment that "it's too heavy" and it goes to the stash. I suspect there was an item weight/encumbrance system in the works which later got cut out. I hope it gets added to the expansion and I believe it would make the game more interesting.
