Dragon Age: Inquisition
Ran in to my first ever instance of slow down, when I fought the Highland Ravager. I don't know if it's because of the multiple area effects going at the same time, or what it was. But the entire fight was in slow motion. It's the first time I experienced that in any of the combat engagements in Inquisitions.

Dragon Age: Inquisition
Thinking on it, I think that's one of the reasons Corypheus didn't seem very menacing or powerful a foe. Instead of him being one step ahead of me all the time, it almost seemed like I was constantly thwarting his plans. First at Haven, his big reveal was ruined by me bringing down the avalanche on his head. Then at the Arbor Wilds, I came away with the power and not him.

So, theories on the epilogue?

Bioware, a return to former glory ?
Inquisition is no better or worse than DA:O, with Origins having a longer/more in depth main quest, and Inquisition having more world exploration. And though there were flaws in the Mass Effect series (stupid ending at the top of the list0, they were by and large very solid games. So I don't think Inquisition has swayed my opinion of BioWare at all. It's exactly what I expect from them: a pretty good story-driven game with some good NPC party companions sprinkled in with the odd questionable decision/design choice. No more, no less than their previous games.

Also, I can't get anyone other than Cassandra to end up as the new Divine. Even when she was my Inquisitor's love interest, she dropped me like a sack of rice. I feel so used.

I found the main story kind of ran out of steam after you finish off the Orlesian court and Grey Warden quests. The Arbor Wilds and then the final battle with Corypheus are considered two different quests, but they both "feel" like they're basically just the end run in a game that you know is drawing to a close. Playing a second time through, you get a better sense of just how short the main quest actually is. 90% of this game is fleshed out with those sidequests to the maps where they're not directly tied to the main quests.

Dragon Age: Inquisition
Toughest enemy I've fought was the two ogres in the Emprise du Lion when attacking that fort. Maybe I tackled that mission sooner than my party was ready for, but those things kept killing my party. Kind of sad when two ogres are much stronger than the big bad Corypheus.

What are you playing now?
Seriously. I think this game has more content than any previous Bioware game. Filler content, yes. Way more fetch quests than I remember, plus things to collect like shards and whatnot. But, IMO, the main quest/personal sidequests were a lot shorter than the previous two Dragon Age games.

My Inquisitor is a much better diplomat this time around. That's two "boss fights" I've avoided by talking my way through it.

Dragon Age: Inquisition
That sucks. Which dragon is the bugged one? I can save fighting it until after it's patched/fixed.
-
Dragon Age: Inquisition
3 more dragons to kill to get the dragon hunter achievement (kill ten high dragons). I've finished off two of the three from Emprise du Lion, but the toughest one is still to go. There's also the Storm Coast one, and the one in the Hissing Wastes.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt [2014]
I just saw the news about the pushing back of the release date. That really, really sucks. I was spacing my games out so it would work perfectly that nothing would be on the horizon for the Witcher's original February release. Hopefully the wait is worth it. On the flip side, those images look outstanding.

Dragon Age: Inquisition
I finally got a good one-handed sword after defeating a dragon. It was one of the ones in the Emprise de Lion (the one that shoots frost and is vulnerable to fire at the top of that coliseum). Called Caliban or some such.

Dragon Age: Inquisition
Yes, because they use the west as their measure stick on gender roles. The west itself changed through history, the west are not nice in history, that is why there's feminism and human rights, and the west try to put everyone in your shoes through indoctrination. Like i said there are things that i agree with organization like SIS, but not everything. Human and society is not simple, we are living in stereotypes Just to say, my ideology is nationalist socialist (left wing) and i am quite liberal Does my picture make you think i am oppressed? I can't imagine why BioWare banned you from their forums. It's not like you never stay on topic and actually discuss a video game that the thread is about or anything. No, they've obviously got a hidden agenda that we haven't yet figured out.

Did anyone else think Krem was a woman the first time you heard their voice, even before the "reveal"? My first reaction when I met Bull's Chargers was "why did they hire a female voice actor for this male character?"
-
Dragon Age: Inquisition
The Iron Bull dies a lot. Which is weird considering how big and strong he's supposed to be. He's always the first to fall though whenever my party is facing a particularly tough enemy. Especially dragons -- which is even funnier because of how much he loves fighting dragons.

Dragon Age: Inquisition
I hate that dragon. Have yet to beat it. I'm level 21 and still can't kill it. My character even did 5000+ damage to it once and it barely scratch its hit points and it didn't have any defenses up either. Cheating game. I beat that on hard with little trouble. What build are you using? Rogue who specializes in twin daggers with a minor in archery. That's probably your issue. From my two play throughs, I'd say the duel-wielding rogue is the weakest class in the game.

Dragon Age: Inquisition
Just to add to this discussion of females in prominent roles, I saw Cassandra's boobies tonight.

Dragon Age: Inquisition
Just so we're crystal clear, what's a tier 3 focus ability? Just a stronger version of a tier 1 ability? I'm so lost once games stopped shipping with instruction manuals.

The last physical game you ever bought
Really? I'm always leery of that with the consoles because they seem to have a bit of an issue of users not being able to download stuff associated with their account. I know I had an issue with DLC associated with DA:O when I bought a new XBox360 and had to download/transfer my Live account over to the new console. Other than DLC, I buy the physical copy of games for my consoles. ----- So having said that, obviously DA:I is my latest physical copy of a game I've bought.

Dragon Age: Inquisition
I've killed 5 out of 10 dragons so far. Just finished off the one in the Exalted Plains. My party was around level 19 and the dragon was level 15. Yet again, the only good loot drop was a dagger, which does absolutely nothing for my sword and shield wielding warrior. So far, I've gotten a pair of daggers, a pair of mage staffs, and I believe a greataxe or greatsword for killing those 5 dragons. Not a single item for my actual character (but hey, my party members are content!).

Dragon Age: Inquisition
Also, I don't like the weapons drops for my sword-and-shield warrior. All the good items I've gotten from beating dragons/bosses are either one-handed warrior weapons or duel-wield rogue knives. I don't think I've ever seen a good weapon drop for a sword/shield warrior in either of my play throughs.

What are you playing now?
Still on my second play through of Dragon Age: Inquisition, playing as a warrior. After this play through I might give the MP a shot. If it's boring, I'll probably move along to Far Cry 4.

Dragon Age: Inquisition
Unless I'm doing it wrong, I *do* put barriers up. I handle the mage usually and let the melee/ranged guys do their own thing. First thing I do when combat begins is put up a party barrier. Problem is, the barrier comes down off my party members pretty quickly and the ability is still recharging. So they'll stand in the way of fire coming out of a dragon's mouth instead of moving (unless I manually take control of them to move them when I realize they're burning alive).

Dragon Age: Inquisition
Speaking of dragon attacks, it would be nice if the party AI was smarter -- or at least not completely dumb. Dragon inhales to release a big gust of fire from his mouth, my party members refuse to move out of the way. Worse, even *after* he's exhaling and there's a huge wall of flame engulfing them, they do not think to move to the side. They simply either stand in the flames or run toward him, right in the path of the flames. If I don't micromanage my party, they're dead within seconds of the dragon shooting flames from his mouth. Literally all three of them will bunch together and just stand in the path of the fire breath. That's one area where it would be nice if BioWare made the party members smarter. You know, some sort of simple code where "burn=bad, so move out of the way".
