Assumptions are all I can go on since your post consistent of calling people cry babies who complained about legitimate issues. You didn't exactly put forth a strong argument.

My problems with Bloodlines has been of the glitchy and stuttery graphics and slowdowns in most areas (even not crowded) to the point of playing the game in slow motion. I've even had to turn 'God' mode on (gets ready for the flames) in fights where I had 6 or more enemies attacking at once, since it would slow down to the point where I'd be dead before I even realized I was taking a swing. But I've also had crashes to desktop often, I've had it where the sound doesn't match the video (mouthes moving a second or two after the words), and of course the load times that are long enough for me to take a bathroom break between.

Who Do You Think Should Make KOTOR III?
GhostofAnakin replied to Bastilla_Skywalker's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Isn't it believed that ewoks cannot be Jedi? Maybe that's where Hades' hate for the Jedi stems from. -
The mods want all the glory in dishing out the punishment to the foolish. Unless maybe Phosphor was one of the ones who voted 'yes'.
-
We should have exchanged copies. I was the exact opposite. I never had any problems at all (well, minor, if you count 1 crash to desktop the ENTIRE time I played the game) with my KOTOR game, but have had numerous problems with Bloodlines.
-
Can we vote on the punishment to those 5 (6, if you include the maybe) who voted 'yes' for this ridiculous abomination?

Who Do You Think Should Make KOTOR III?

I sometimes picture Hades_One as an ewok, getting upset and gyrating his spear into the air yelling "yub yub! me hate Jedi munchkin character!" -
Who Do You Think Should Make KOTOR III?
GhostofAnakin replied to Bastilla_Skywalker's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
When the option becomes available for your PC to join an Ewok tribe, or have a long discussion with the Jedi Council about Midichlorian counts in the game, then you know GL has had his fingers in its design. -
If the entire post is going to be blanked out due to spoiler tags anyways, why not just post this in the spoiler forum and not use spoiler tags? I don't get it. I really don't. Is it that much tougher to post a thread in the spoiler forum than post in here, but have to add the spoiler tag to it? <_<

Then so am I, as I enjoyed the game despite it's faults, thorugh it doesn't mean that I don't complain a little about it <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Ah, but the difference between you and him is the fact you would complain if the product is faulty. My statement wasn't about his enjoyment of the game. It was about his seemingly "who cares if the game plays like an alpha version despite being full price" statement that anyone complaining about the excess bugs and glitches (and there have been many) is a cry baby. Which is why I made the statement about him being a business' favorite type of customer. The type that spends their money on something that is shoddy at best and never complains about it.

No one has come across robes with the hoods up that can be equipped on the PC? I figured they'd be found, not in abundance, but atleast occasionally throughout the game.
-
I think the only way the game would be recalled would be if it was actually proven without a shadow of a doubt that a "bad batch" of disks was produced. But since the problems seem to be different for everyone (or atleast not all uniform among those with problems), then it can't be attributed to a bad production of disks.

Because our loading timers were longer than yours perhaps? I don't know, maybe it's just me, but I would have thought it's obvious why we're complaining about long load times (because we have them). Not to be nitpicking, but your statement probably should have read "My load times aren't longer than 30 seconds, so I can't relate to those who are complaining about long load times".
-
You could have waited for the PC version... " <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Exactly. Had you waited even 2 days, you would have seen the issues people were complaining about and chose not to buy the game until a)the issues were resolved or b)the game was released on a medium (PC) that allows for patches. What's "not fair" is having no choice about when you can purchase the game (ie. PC and international folk having to wait until next year).

Bloodlines had this most of the way through. Unfortunately it deteriorated into a combat-fest in the final 1/3 of the game.
-
Which is why I didn't read them. Seems even the chronicles have disregarded the PC gamers and Euro XBoxers since they figure the "important" gamers already have the game and won't be spoiled by the info. Typical. <_<

You're a business' favorite type of customer.

What a stupid idea. Why do people keep suggesting to turn KOTOR into something it was never meant to be? <_<
-
Actually, I'm the opposite. If the ending is bad or not to my liking, all that means is that the game ended on a sour note. However, if I can't even play the game to completion, or that play through is seriously hindered, then the ending, good or bad, will not mean a thing if what comes before it was unplayable.

a fantastic poll from the makers of hideous
GhostofAnakin replied to ><FISH'>'s topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I'll vote on the poll in February. -
On the plus side, some of my load times are long enough to allow me to go make myself a sandwich while the next area loads (not an exaggeration).

Game Manual Question
GhostofAnakin replied to GhostofAnakin's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
At the risk of agreeing with Hades ( ), what compells a company like Lucasarts to do such a piss poor job on a manual? Does it really take that much time to print up a decently imformative manual? Or is this another consequence of a "rushed release before Christmas"? -
From the posts on planetvampire, it seems as though some people are even having MORE problems after installing the patch than they did before, while it didn't really improve the overall performance.
-
I'd agree with that if it weren't for the fact they neglected to even acknowledge the slowdowns could also be on their side too, not just on the part of the PC owner. It seems to me they're just placing blame on our PCs and that it's not actually a problem of their code. Which is false. Fact remains, they didn't improve or fix what was the biggest issues with most gamers who own the game.

Game Manual Question
GhostofAnakin replied to GhostofAnakin's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Considering you already seem to be an expert when it comes to rules and such, I didn't think this would matter to you. " Also, KOTOR2 doesn't have a toolset. So again, that's a moot point.
