  1. That's because Revan already found the contents of that compartment (a container of spice, if I remember correctly).
  2. I actually liked the DS options. I roleplayed my darksider as a whiny, arrogant character who throws a tantrum whenever he doesn't get his way. I thought this added a darkly comedic element to the storyline. For example, when Kreia commented on my darksidedness, I chose: "Why do people in our journey trouble me with these... indignities? These fetching missions, this servant work." Everyone seems to want to be a sinister master of utter darkness. How trite. At least I can understand the motivations behind my character.
  3. Uh, I don't think he's asking about the movies. He wants to know what triggers the in-game cutscenes of inter-party dialogues on the Ebon Hawk.
  4. I think substandard games in fast time are better! It encourages gamers to spend more money buying games as they come out, which stimulates the economy, provides jobs to the unemployed, and helps prevent an economic downturn that would hand America over to Communists.
  5. I agree completely! Paragraphs are the best way to express your ideas! I wish they had more about this in KotOR II. Please post this in the spoilers forum.
  6. You can also get it through high intelligence or high influence.
  7. Doesn't Darth Frog do that when he does his minimum-XP game? You should ask him about it.
  8. Hmm, wierd things happening. I opened up KotOR Tool and looked at the global variables. From what I can tell, the variables 000_T3_Computer and 000_T3_Repair correspond to the number of times you have upgraded each. For me, Repair was at 3 (for the three upgrades). However, when upgrading computer the number jumps from 1 to 3. I tried editing 000_T3_Computer to 2. This seemed to work: in game, I got the missing dialogue option for the third upgrade. "[Due to your computer skills, T3 has gained an additional +1 Intelligence and +1 Wisdom.]" BUT, despite that message, the +1 INT, +1 WIS bonuses went to the Exile, not to T3! I think this option is glitched up. Oh well. Who needed +1 WIS on T3, anyways?
  9. Are you sure those were Kreia's motivations? I thought she wanted an end to the force because she believed it was causing predestination and removing free will. Where did you get the idea she wanted revenge on the Jedi Council (which is now dead, anyways)?
  10. Sorry to dig up this really old thread, but was this problem ever resolved? I just got the same problem, did a search, and found this.
  11. What happens if you stay around the middle alignment the whole game? Will you never get the Visas cutscene? Will Visas never join you?
  12. Thanks for the fast response, Razorfish. You and your team are the best. While you're fixing things around the Downloads page, could you take a look at Aurora's Crazy Rebalance? Crazy Rebalance does not contain the featgain.2da file mentioned in the readme. Not a big deal (I made my own featgain.2da to Aurora's specifications), but just for cleanliness, you might want to take care of that.
  13. I can't download the Skippable Mebla Dialogue Fix. I get a "Not Found" webpage. The link for the Hidden Compartment Fix wouldn't work for me either, but I found that mod by searching the Technical Support forum. Does anyone else have this problem?
  14. What I meant was that "character level less than 10" is a requirement for taking the feat. I needed to make sure someone wouldn't play most of the game, then take the Transcendence feats right before the end to get the improved ending. If you want the better ending, you should need to play through most of the game on hard difficulty. However, I concede the point to you.
  15. Name: Transcendence Prereq: character level less than 4 Makes the game slightly more challenging and slightly improves the ending. Name: Improved Transcendence Prereq: character level less than 7, Transcendence Makes the game even more challenging and further improves the ending. Name: Master Transcendence Prereq: character level less than 10, Transcendence, Improved Transcendence Makes the game very challenging and restores the cut content to the ending. I would really like to see this.
  16. Yeah, it was a very fun game. If that only the deleted content were there, it might be one of my favorites.
  17. No, Flurry is better without Master Speed. If you have 2 attacks (from 2 weapons) and use Flurry for a third, you are dealing 50% more damage than you would do without Flurry. When you have four attacks (from 2 weapons and Master Speed), Flurry's fifth attack only causes you to deal 25% more damage than you would do without Flurry. By contrast, Critical Strike and Power Attack both scale in power with the number of attacks since they affect each of your attacks separately. Those are better if you already have four attacks from dual-wield and Master Speed. I would always get Flurry on a character without more than two attacks, but think carefully before getting it on a Master Speed dual-wielder.
  18. Can't you see her eyes on her character stats screen (with the grey cloudy background)?
  19. They probably thought it was just a phase.
  20. Why did HK-50 send the mining droids to repair the Ebon Hawk? I thought his plan was to keep the Exile trapped until a ship arrived to take him away. Why would he prepare the only way you might possibly escape from Peragus II? He couldn't exactly fly it away himself, seeing as though it was voice-locked. And how did Atton manage to survive when everyone else on the station other than the Exile was killed (or presumed dead)? Luck? I don't really buy that the Security Officer's droid-proof door would stop HK, after everything else he was able to do.
  21. Thanks for all the helpful replies. I downloaded the Hardcore Mod and loaded up my save. The final boss wiped out my poor auto-levelled character. Looks promising .
  22. Hello, everyone. I'm about to start my second playthrough of KotOR II. I thought both KotOR games had excellent storytelling and roleplaying, but almost no challenge. Remembering the difficulty level of KotOR I, I decided to auto-level all my characters on my first playthrough of KotOR II. Amazingly, the game is easy even when I don't get Master Speed until level 26 and Handmaiden and Bao Dur are receiving Power Shot, Rapid Shot, etc. It is obvious that with a well-planned character, even Hard difficulty would be effortless. I am wondering if there is a good way to make the game more challenging overall, so that I could have a satisfying playthrough with a powerful character. One question I have: I have heard that as you level up, enemies become more powerful to match you. Is this only when you actually level up your character or does it occur when you receive enough experience to level up? If so, perhaps a possible challenge would be to use an exploit or cheat to get 50 levels worth of experience, but only levelling up to 20 or so, thus fighting more difficult battles against lvl 50 powered enemies.
  23. No, 18 is not the pinnacle of human achievement in INT or in any of the other stats. Remember that to randomly generate the stats of a non-hero* character in D&D 3rd Edition, one rolls three dice and adds (3d6). This means that for any given stat, 1 out of every 216 people will have an 18, which while still exceptional, is hardly rare. If you score in the 99th percentile on the SAT's or IQ tests, then you are almost certainly 17 INT and likely 18 INT. *Non-hero meaning not a PC: they are meant to be more powerful than an average person and when generating their scores, one rolls four dice and drops the low score.
