Something tells me that if we put it down to 2 a round (of subdual damage at that) and instituted the FB's chance of annihilating teammates, people wouldn't be so enthusiastic about having things the way they "should be". <{POST_SNAPBACK}> right now noone uses that prestige Class becouse of this backstab I do suggest to make it as it should be, atleast then noone could say its Obsidians fault that it is at it is. All the people could then play as they want, and a raging barbarian in the mddle of your party can be a fun bonus, I loved in BG2 Minsc who sometimes chased my char around ^_^ Give us frenzy as it was intended, and all the causalties are already expected. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> 2 subdual damage per round is not a drawback. I can easily live with the 12 damage per round although I think a slightly lower number would be better. 6-8 would be optimal I think. You have to remember that when playing PnP you roll for HP whenever you level up. In NWN2 you simply get maximum HP so I think an increase in the damage you take during the frenzy is completely justifiable. The frenzy lasts what? A few rounds? Say we go with 5 rounds here. Using the standard rules you would then take 10 subdual damage and possibly attack your own group. Instead here we take 60 lethal damage yet is completely immune (that I know of) to death for those 5 rounds. Fair trade off I think. You take 60 damage as opposed to have the very real possibility of your character killing off another of your party. And I can pretty much guarentee that there would be a whole slew of "OMG! WTF is wrong with this **** game?! My character just chunked my mages during this fight!" threads by people that would be a hell of a lot angrier than those who are disappointed by Obsidian's altered Frenzy. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> 2 per round is after the rules, I want that. Also I want party members attacking eachother, it was already included into games like BG, I want that too. Maybe not many players care about this, but a hardcore RPG-er (as me) do it, and those people are normally who will buy expansions, create modules, and play on PW-s.
  4. Its really quite ridiculous that NWN2 doesnt have this when the original did (and right out of the box, if I recall correctly.) Icewind Dale 2 may have had it as well. This game shouldnt be on the shelves in its current condition. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> thats what some people think, and then take the game back to the stores. I know 7 people who bought it, and 3 gave it back. (and 2 don't play it atleast till patch 4-5)

They might have some trouble maintaining the ESRB Teen rating then I'm really looking forward to have an oppinion about this game now <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I don't want teen rating, kids get game anyway if they want it, and i really want to have only once a real mature game with blood, insults, swearing, romances, sex, red light districts, lot of theft, intrigues, madness, assassination, and nicely animated deaths, MANY death animations, atleast 2 times more than fallout had.

  16. You just described the antithesis of NWN1 OC. I can't speak for multiplayer since I never really played MP in NWN1 either, so won't argue there. As for your complaints about combat, it's all opinion. For myself I like pausing, squad combat is supposed to be tactical. If I didnt want to pausse I'd go play Gothic or play solo. Icons werent too small at all because I can remember what I cast, spell effects were clear enough and look pretty good but not excellent, critical damage is obvious if only because of CRITICAL HIT! popup (which I want gone), and the context/quickcast menus certainly take a lot less clicks than radial menu, unless you like spending 3 hours rearranging your quickbars. But hey, that's just my opinion, isnt it? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I would love if critical would be shown as in Fallout ^_^

  20. nice, but the central city South-West has no walls around it, I suggest to make it fully defended on all sides to make a more real feel to it
