I don't think they actually have to log it....just randomize it. for instance, when you board the Ebon Hawk, there is always some chance that the pilot is not in the ****pit and is, instead, sleeping in his dorm. (you wouldn't even have to wake him, just have your astromech droid pilot the ship instead). same thing with day/night....when you land on a planet, the system randomizes whether it is going to be morning, mid-day, evening, or night....if night, it randomizes how many moons you see, etc. from there, every time you enter a new load screen, it randomizes whether to advance to the next segment of the day (i.e. morning goes into mid-day, mid-day goes into evening, etc). as far as space travel goes, if you think about it, we really don't have "travel time" (travelling across the stars is largely transparent to us)....that is why I think we need the ability to orbit planets and not just land on them....orbiting would allow us to see "regular life" (including sleep schedules) on the ship. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Thats a possible, nice idea

I've only had my guys routed once and that was because I had a 2000 man stack that had to contend with 4 others of the sames size. I could have won if I had unlimited ammo for my archers/onagers who ran out during the third wave. The 4th group was allowed to approach my battered Legionaires without coming through a hail of arrows. <_< <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I played egypt, and I was attacked when i had to reinforce my army, so my one unit (10 or so of man) of egyptan horse-bowman (chariot or whats the name) meets 6 units of spearman and one merc.horse archers(greek), what to do, I just runned, they runned too, but we had more horses =P So, after 1-5 min they were exhousted, in the 'runnin time' i had shot down the half of the enemy merc-s and with only 3rd of my man having any arrows at all I had them retreat (they lost forever the merc.-s and 2 spearman units) The funny was how i had routed the first unit what had the enemy fleein started: With no arrows i just had the egyptans turn back and runned trough with them into the enemy, they got the fear, and fleed. Now think about luck&strategy :D

If something has a 'turn' button, than its not RTS, its so simple :D

that is actually a very strong argument in favor of returning characters such as Mission and Jolee. because, while it is *possible* to kill Bastila in K1, the devs put her in K2 (whether LS or DS). as I see it, only a scripted event (such as Vrook dying) is irrevocable and, even then, there are Force Ghosts. Actually, over the centuries, the knowledge of jedi and notraceSith has lost much of it, and thats why one of the 'new age masters' is just lvl19, Luke was not so great too, but after the fall of The Empire he searchs for relic-s from past, and he gets more lvl-s, opens an academy, etc.. Umm, OK , well thanks for infos, but plz don't fight about what game is better for non-fight campaigns The data is this: The team I play with has a history WAY BACK to play D&D, even its 1st edition. So I just can't get them from it, I, myself likes 'no class' systems better too. Yes, I know I can borrow things from other events/movies/etc.. , but I don't like to do it so, well I just wanna know if someone of you did make any real unique, fun, no-fight campaign themself. This are the sys-s what we can use: D&D20:FR, SW, our own (all of us changed to the new 3.5,and no one plays edition 1 or 2.0), White Wolf: Masquerade(+the new one, Requiem if I remember correctly), Shadowrun, Cyberpunk, 7th sea (new for us) I don't like to see the group novadays to go for HacknSlash style, I want to change course in time PS: Here are already some useful ideas and concepts, so thanx, Can't wait for more :D ...so anything to add here?

Very, VERY different. And thats enough for many hardcore 'old' fans to hate it. It just needs some shapin' , like some diamond. I think its good that if ya see a vampire, you dunno what clan it belongs to, or even if it IS IN ONE :cool: (this could be archieved even with old sys, but not many GM-s did it)

It would be nice to have a game to connect the new and old storylines, so that normal human beings do too understand all the changes (why?how?when?WHAT!? )in it. I heard rumors of a 2nd game, but dunno what timeframe, or sys they use for it.

(and by the way I don't think it matters what sys I use, if someone wants to fight, then they do it anyway ) So, suggestions for getting the team to like plots, espionage, politics and all the other 'brain-draining' thingys?
