  1. In the savegame editor, do not play with Visa's or Handmaiden's influence. You rather have to set the global numeric variable "000_Women_Trouble" to "0". That will solve it.
  2. You can walk around Telos Citadel Station with B4-D4 instead of going straight to Czerka offices and talk to people. Most poeple will have something specific to tell you. It just sucks to see the love put the developers in details like that, and then to see that so much of the content was cut. Mandalore rectruiting missions? Yeah sure, but what happens when you do them? You do not even get influence with Mandalore!
  3. Yes, you get lightssaber parts as rewards where you usually would get a lightsaber. I did Korriban as my first planet and than Dxun. I got I finished my first lightsaber on Dxun. The most powerful item ... well, I did not open many crates and didn't really get any good items. Obviously the Ossus robe... I was very lucky though to get at an early stage a zabrak vibrosword giving melee-finess as a bonus feat. Very helpfull for my high DEX bulid. And of course, the stealth enhancing belts and headgears were most welcome. To all who say there is no point in rushing through the game: I played the game twice "normally". And then quite frankly it starts getting boring. Some people will want to try everything out and see whether they can unlock additional cutscene and dialogues. Others will try to rush through the game. This is about finding a way to get some mileage out of the game.
  4. But does it really work to do only that? I have to do this, but it is not sufficient, or I am doing something wrong. As to going in and out of levels, the bar is a separate level and I believe you have to enter the docks to trigger the "Hanharr meets Vogga" cutscene, otherwise the exchange will not contact you.
  5. Again, I am not trying to brag or anything, sorry if it came accross as such. Unlike the FPS run-through, it does not take any skills at all, just a bit of planning. Everybody can do it. My first quick run-through was in 13 hours, but there is so much stuff you can cut out that I came down to these 7 hours. I believe it can be beaten by at least half an hour by making a few different choices. This is the time clocked by the game, not the time actually played - you can pause the game to level up and equip your party (though that does not add up to much time), and I had to do a few reloads and try different things. If you don't believe me, just try it yourself, I have explained how Korriban can be done in 11 minutes. And the fun is to find out more about the game mechanics and what you need to do to move forward. For example, on Nar Shadaa, how much does it take to be contacted by the exchange? You can spend hours running back and forth on Nar Shadaa though you can actually stay in the central area and just take a few steps in the other areas. If I knew how, I could do a video of that. Also you can find out about silly features of the game engine, e.g. switching back and forth between party members to talk to NPCs, or warping around by leaving areas. The last fight against Kreia and the lightsabers was not easy, since I run out of force points to buff myself (being lvl 14 and nowhere near LS mastery), but I kept hacking on Kreia, ignoring the lightsabers and using a medpack each round through the inventory screen. However, the toughest fight of all was Visa taking out on her own the 3 final dark jedis in Freddon Naads tomb. That one sure took longer than usual.
  6. Too bad you're PC is not darkside - you could crush the boss easily. I can only suggest to use medpacks and stims in between rounds by using them directly from the inventory. IMHO it is not an exploit, since you can use only one item per round (but can still fight in that round). Also, have you checked your attack stats? Are you using lightsaber(s) designed to increase your attack? Are you using equipment (e.g. headgear) which increases your attack? Do you get any malus from dual weapon wielding, flurry, etc? at this stage, you just want to hit, so avoid anything which gives you a malus.
  7. Now, of course not, My PC was level 14 with 91261 XP. But so what? The enemies scale according to your experience. The only trouble is that you have less force powers and less feats. And you have to take "stealth run" and crap like that as feats.
  8. Exactly. I take myself the time from KSE, from the last quicksave just before giving Kreia the final blow. The timer was at 7 hours and 11 seconds. My actual playing time is higher, I had to do some reloads. In any case, I did not want to boast. This is my 5th run through, there is nothing extraordinary about it. I am posting this to point out how much you can skip in the game. For example I did Peragus in 37 minutes: just run past all robots, switch off those you can switch off, ignore the others by using shields and a high defense built, the only one you have to kill is HK-47. On the Harbinger, just run around stealthed, you will not have to fight any siths. The hardest part is at the end, when you have to run through a minefield. And you have to gun down with the lase cannon the 25 siths trying to board the ship. Second example: I did Korriban in 11 minutes: run solo to the sith academy, run stealthed past the entrance of the cavern (do not even think of entering it), beam in your party in front of the academy and kill the beasts there, step into the academy and kill the beasts here, leave your party at the entranc an run solo and stealthed to the dormitories to get the computer login and perform the test, ignore any spawning siths and run to the training ground, kill the beasts, run to the prison, see the death sith master, take her login, open the front door using the console, swith to one of your NPC at the entrance and have him step out of the academy, so that the whole party is in front of the academy (yes, this skips the whole encounter with Darth Sion), run back to your ship... Of course, you have to forget about turning your NPC into jedis, looting every container and creating items at the workbench.
  9. It was my fifth run through. I wouldn't call that a waste of money...
  10. I don't know if anybody would care to watch it. I mean 7 hours of running stealthed past sith troopers is probably less exciting to watch than people knifing their way through quake.
  11. I have tried to go as quickly as possible through the game, using stealth, running away from enemies, doing as few quests as possible. I have now finished the game in just 7 hours, from Peragus to Malachor V. My PC made level 14 in the last fight before meeting Darth Sion. Now I will complain with LucasArts that the game is way too short
  12. I you kill only one jedi master, you will meet the other ones at the Dantooine enclave, but they will know what you did and will attack you. Sounds scary, but it happened to me once (more an oversight then intention) and it was a pretty easy fight killing both of them (I had killed the guy on Nar Shadaa).
  13. You do not have to kill the red eclipse, you can run to their leader and talk him into submission. The guys outside the Ebon Hawk will still fight though.
  14. Peragus: HK-50, only the sith soldiers at the very and with the laser cannon Telos citadel station: you do not have to kill the mercenarise, just leave the Ithorians to sort them out themselves. Telos planetside: some mercenaries in front of the old military base (not a must, but the cutscene uncloacks you), a lot of droids in the base, and the 3 HK-50 on top of the secret academy. Nar Shaddaa: You have to kill the twin suns (in the cantina), Hanharr or Mira, and more or less every droid on goto's yacht. You also need to kill some of the thugs to get the exchange angry at you. Dantooine: you don't have to kill azkul, you can take his money. You don't have to kill any kinraths, but if you sneak into the crystal cave, Kreia will take into your head, thus unclocking you in the middle of the kinraths... Korriban: the beasts at the entrance of the academy are in you way, and you will want to leave your party there, so kill them Dxun: depends on the quests you make to impress mandalore, but you will have to kill some beasts. Also, it does not help that while you run stealthed in the jungle Atton will radio in reports, thus uncloacking you. Onderon: the headhunters who attack you, + the one in the cantina you need the holocrons from. Dxun bis: the 3 sith lords in the tomb Onderon bis: the beast breaking down the shield of the throne room, + a lot more soldiers which are just hard to avoid. Malachor V: the big beast, Darth Sion, Darth Treya, and if you take the wrong side into the training grounds, a few siths who block a door. I probably forgot a few. And you definitely should start as a Jedi Sentinel, else you won't have enough skill pints. And take the "run while stealth" feat! You need to give another NPC *cough" Visas *cough* stealth skills to lead the party raiding Nadon Freeds' (sp?) tomb on Dxun. To sum it up, you cannot keep your hands clean of blood, but you do not have to be a bloodthirsty, shoot first and talk later, "god will sort 'em out" psychopath, though the game wants you to.
  15. You cannot go through the game without killing anyone, but you can run around stealthed and avoid most fights. For example on Peragus, you only have to kill the HK-50 and the siths you kill with the laser turret. On Telos Citadel station, I remember you only have to kill the false batu, the guys who drop in then you get the new droid, and some exchange thugs. On Korriban, you only have to kill a few beasts. What sucks is that the game takes you out of stealth whenever there is a cutscene (e.g. Kreia talks in your head) and that happens quite often when you are surrounded but enemies who where unaware of you.. I tried to run through the whole game as fast as possible, mostly stealthed, doing as few fights and sidequests as possible. I completed the game in 9 h 42' and I was level 17 at the end. On Malachor, I only had to fight the big creature, Darth Sion and Darth Treia (I run stealthed past the other sith). It was not a problem, because the game scales the difficulty of your enemies based on your level.
  16. I just hate this automatic uncloak thing. Here I am standing in the middle of the cave in Dantooine, just about to steal my soul crystal, surrounded by an army of Kinraths unaware of my cloacked presence, and *pof* dear old Kreia talks in my head, uncloacking me and offering me as lunch to the Kinraths. Same thing on Dxun: impossible to run stealthed through the jungle, because every twenty meters Atton will drop in with some "interesting" communication on the ship's status. On a different tone, my favorite "the game engine is stupid" moment is still warping out of the Academy on Korriban without fighting Darth Sion by leaving my party at the entrance, going solo to the corpse of the Master Vash to open the academy's door, switching to a party member at the entrance and having him run out, thus placing the whole party outside the academy.
  17. But Mandalore is a very underdevelopped NPC. Getting him to recruit mandalorians on other planets does nothing. Getting influence with him does nothing. And he is the one NPC who could really tell something to the Exile about the events in KOTOR1. As things stand, his identity is pointless. Looks like more cut content...
  18. The Exile doesn't have to kill anything on Peragus except for the 25 Sith at the end, and for this you can use the laser turret which does not have any attribute/skill requirements. The HK has to be killed, too, but you can leave the dirty work to Kreia and Atton (your high CHA should improve their attack rating, btw). Have you tried to Whirlwind them off the mat? Your char has excellent Force DC so it should work. The Handmaidens are melee monsters, so only a melee monster can beat them in a fair fight anyway. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> The truth is, I was not able to get past the first handmaiden with my bare hands and without force powers... I am now on a quick run through of the game, i.e. I try to get through the game as quickly as possible, looking at the time played in the save game editor. Thanks for the tip regarding Peragus. It is amazing how many enemies, areas and quests you can just ignore.
  19. ..or it would have been great if there was a way to lose influence with HK as a LS player. This works great as a DS player with T3, just tell him at every occasion that he is headed for the junkyard, and once you have lost enough influence, you pass the influence checks and can upgrade him.
  20. I have been able to get DS mastery for Atton, Handmaiden and Visas just by being DS master myself and having at least 98 infuence with them (maybe less could also work). I was a Sith Lord, and that may play a role. Edit: I also had 16 Charisma I never was able to gain LS mastery for my NPC
  21. Guardian/Weapon Master Str: 15 Dex: 10 Con: 14 Int: 14 Wis: 12 Cha: 12 First Attribute point into Str, than Con Consular / Sith Lord Str: 8 Dex: 8 Con: 14 Int: 16 Wis: 14 Cha: 15 First Attribute point into Cha, than Con Playing on hard, I had to take energy resistence as first power to get through peragus, and I couldn't kill anything in less than 5 rounds. I also had to abandon all hope of beating the 5 handmaidens. But above level 18 (Force storm), it becomes ridicluously easy. The starting stats become pretty irrelevant in any case once you get good items.
