Avram Grant's wife reacts to Husband's brothel visit
jaguars4ever replied to Walsingham's topic in Way Off-Topic
Same here, since that was the worst possible thing he could do. Pay the 60$, not get the massage, then tell his wife. Suffering PTSD over an unrequited boner: Priceless. -

I take it the question posed by FemShep was "will you boink me?"

Stop being a pansy, viru. Just head over to the suicide mission already. You'll know soon enough.

Avram Grant's wife reacts to Husband's brothel visit

I actually went to a massage parlour on accident once. I was looking for a deep tissue massage for my back because it was really tight. The website for the place said it offered such massages, and I'd passed it a couple times driving and it looked alright. So I made my reservation. I got there, and it was a little odd. I've been to a lot of actual therapeutic massage places, and this one wasn't quite right. First off, there were quite a few women working in the place, which is odd because a business like this usually does not support a large staff (watch the puns folks.) I was led to a room and told to undress and lay on the table. The table was horrible, not a real masseuse one with a spot for the head. There also was not a sheet to cover the unmentionables, just a small towel. I laid down and the masseuse came in. First thing she did was lightly tap my butt. She started in with the massage. It's hard to explain, but basically it was not a professional massage. It was a flirtatious massage, I guess is the best way to put it. It was very uncomfortable for me, and I really felt trapped. I was on this table naked, I wasn't going to jump up and run out. My body was responding in a way I didn't want it it to. She offered to finish the massage for an extra $60. I told her no. She left, I got dressed and found a back exit to leave by. I was mortified. I called my wife and told her the story. She wasn't mad at me, she was mad at the place and actually filed a police report. I was very uncomfortable with the whole thing for quite a few months. It's been a few years and it's easy to talk about now, but I really had a rough time for awhile. Anyways, maybe a little too much detail, but I figured I'd share. I guess if you go in looking for that sort of thing, it might be different, but I really hated it. AHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! You should have let her finish the job, Hurly. Sounds like you could have used it. -
HA! Good Fun! You make a good point, as usual, Grom. I still stand by my belief that overall, Bio games get better and better every release. But creating a compelling, cognizable villain hasn't really been the focus for ME2 or DA, and perhaps something Bio could improve to make their amazing games even better. IMO, Harbiniger really didn't cut it as a lead villain, and neither did Archdemon. Both Harbie and Archie are merely pinnacle representations of the "cold, distant and enigmatic" antagonist organization that you mentioned. That being said, creating a main antagonist as cartoonish as Darth Malak would also be a step backwards. Bio's last great villain was Jon Irenicus, and I'd like to see someone in this sort of vein in the future.

Does anyone have a video/screenshot of this infamous split-second glimpse I keep hearing about? It sounds like it probably just a bug, no?

Holy Crap! This is why you must upgrade people!

Yeah! WTF?! How dare he go to the hospital after being shot up? You can't justify that crap.

They've already got one. She's great. She also feeds your fish and strip dances for you.

That's what I'm doing right now. It's like a thread within a thread!

FO:NV: The Return of Gameplay Mechanics Discussion

*slaps Morgoth* Such impertinence! Know your place, dreg! These FO devs are Gods amongst us mere mortals. They give us sweet, TRUE FO nectar (not the fake crap from the "other guys") and you have the audacity to ask for more?! Be grateful for this precious handout. No seriously, Obsidian. Give us more. I'm not joking. I know where you guys live. -
^ Dirty, filthy lies. Cover your ears, Boo! Redemption offered a fantastic V:tM experience with a actual coterie (and an interesting one at that). It also was one of the first MP storyteller RPGs out there. Even before NWN. More importantly, the transition from Middle Age Prague/Vienna to Modern Age London was one of the most memorable moments in RPGs!

ENKINDLE THIS!

IMO it would be either Conrad or Garrus. THIS.

Ron Perlman! -
Incidentally, if I import a Shepard = dead save into ME3, I firmly expect to play as Conrad Verner. You hearing me Bio? Humanity needs its heroes!

Same here! I lost my gamer boner. -

^But he might be a member of the Mongoloid Race. Not that there's anything wrong with that...

Hitting the language and cultural barrier here, I guess. The downside of English being my third language. Not to worry - your English is 10 times better than my Finnish. What Number Man means is that a qualitative jump (in type) offers much more than a quantitative jump (in merely degree). In other words, choosing from a Cappuccino vs Cafe Latte is more of a choice than Warm Coffee vs Hot Coffee.

...owned!

^Which doesn't help my biotic if he doesn't want Pull. What if he wants Push? Or Warp? In ME1 I could choose from a buffet of options. In ME2 I'm left with table scraps.

I didn't see it coming either. It's probably because we're not natural cynics with paranoid fears of clich

That's kind of the issue I had. Unless I'm completely confused in this matter as well ( ), you basically get both NPCs with AI hacking so late in the game, they are practically useless by the time. The YMIRs are in overabundance in the early stages of the game. Looks like there are a lot of rewards for playing Infiltrator And I still think that the reasons for (some of) the changes were something else than "dumbing down for consoles" - if for no other reason, than the fact that ME1 was originally a console exclusive. I'm still not seeing the lack of variety, which was mostly cosmetic and not really a choice unless you wanted to handicap yourself by not using HMW+Savant+Colossus/Predator L/M/H, as a bad thing. And I don't think that the leveling up system is "dumber" either - just because the bumps are bigger (4 vs... 12, right?), it doesn't mean it's dumber, right? I think I actually had to think a lot more about the way I assigned my points than I ever did in ME1... The way gear works does reek of "saving" stuff for DLC, though, especially when it comes to the ludicrously small selection of armor and civilian clothes - even if with the cosmetic customisation you can basically get more variety in looks than you could in ME1. *shrug*, I don't really have a strong opinion on the matter, it's just a game I enjoy, but the "dumbing down" argument gets tossed around IMHO way too easily, and especially in this case. I'm sure "simplification" was one of the guiding lights in the design, but I don't think it was the only one. To be fair Nepenthe, your timing argument that the ME1 was a console title has merit from a theoretical standpoint. But this does not mean that ME2 has been further consolified to appease the console masses. But we don't have to worry about the developer/publisher's theoretical intentions. We have our grubby gamer hands on the finished product. We can look at it from a practical standpoint. In ME1 your character (and squad members) had around dozen categories to develop the character coupled with about a dozen different increments. In ME2 it's around half a dozen categories for the main character (at best; 4 for the the squad memebers) and with only 4 increments. What does this all mean? It means that the individuality and variance of character level development is reduced severely (i.e. dumbed down). In ME1 your Adept could wind up being completely different than my Adept. You might specialize heavily in Pull, whereas I in Singularity. Even your Soldier would be vastly different from mine. You might even shy away from diplomatic stats or hacking stats, whereas I could revel in it. The permutations were substantial. In ME2, almost every Vanguard Sheperd follows the similar development path as another's Vanguard Sheperd. Almost every Tali winds up the same as another's Tali. Hell, your Garrus might even be exactly the same as my Garrus. It's not hard to achieve with only 4 boxes (1 of which doesn't even become available until after the loyalty mission, thus further adding to the homogeneity of ME2's system) Homogeneity - Permutations = Dumbed Down
