  1. Though I know the majority of no-cd patches are used for "not-so-legit" reasons, and of course, I don't doubt the possibility of closure of the thread... Not everyone that uses a no-cd patch is running a questionable copy of the game.... I run alot of my completely legal and purchased games with a no-cd patch simply because the game runs faster and smoother when reading it from your harddrive rather than being dependant on the severe bottlenecking of memory usage/swapping between IDE channels (or SATA) related to CD drive read speeds. It's a definite improvement when it comes to movies and cutscenes Still, it doesn't change the fact that this may be a 'taboo' subject here on the OE forums... so I'll shut my 'pie hole' now... hehehe "I have my receipts Officer ... I swear!"
  2. It's "cut content"... or as we like to say "Teaser material" hehehe.. For now, it's not accessible, though there are modders out there attempting to give life to it :D
  3. Are all of the USM's .uti files directly in the override directory? KSE will not look in sub-folders within the override folder...
  4. You can also Ctrl+click on the download link at PCGM... (Hold down the Control key while clicking the download button)... The 'garble' you're seeing is the browser attempting to open the file locally rather than downlaod it in it's compressed archive form (tends to mostly happen with .rar files)...
  5. I am its daddy. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I keep expecting to hear you breath heavily and someone having their hand lobbed off
  6. Mono_Giganto had started a "player submission" type influence FAQ here: http://www.lucasforums.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=143504 feel free to browse through
  7. Wow! It's looking great! I'm glad to see the project is still up & running. Even though I royally suck at the game, it is a tad bit "addicitve". Move over solitaire, I've got sumthin' better I am surprised (and happy) to see you're adding network play to it.. that would be something definitley different. Not only can I lose at the game, I can publicly humiliate myself on how crappy a player I am :D ChAiNz.2da = easy mark
  8. Also, just some FYI...the 3rd fight won't happen until you're at least 18th level. So don't get "bummed" if she doesn't feel you're 'ready' for it
  9. Consular / WeaponsMaster I get Uber Force Powers and the ability to kick arse later in the game when the baddies get tougher
  10. yeah, I've gotten my PC's "mostly" LS/DS however they've never managed to get "Mastery"... I didn't think that was possible for NPC's... though I've been wrong may times before.. hehehe
  11. Sounds like you've used tk102's KSE.... maybe to adjust influence? This is a known glitch that no one's sure why TSL is doing it... One person had stated that a "temporary" fix was to adjust your PC's Charisma to 50... yeah, I know that this is an extreme number and way out of bounds for a "legit / cheated" character... but so far, no one has claimed that it didn't work... You could possibly try that... otherwise, I think the NPC's alignment reverts back to normal once you transition between an area or board/leave the Ebon Hawk... not sure however...
  12. I think they meant "dressed in green" (Mira) It may be a scratched/dirty disk... or rumors of "defunct" Play discs are circulating... however, if it were defunct, I'd imagine it wouldn't have installed in the first place... I'm not really sure what it could be if your scan system is returning all green lights?? Usually if a game's not starting it means you'll need OpenGL and/or DirectX 9.0c... but all green lights should mean you have it... I'm at a loss... other than the standard "do you have the latest Video drivers" blah blah... Though that may be the problem. Not sure if 66.93 supports DirectX 9.0c... the latest version is 77.72... try downloading and installing those drivers to see if that helps: http://www.nvidia.com/content/drivers/drivers.asp
  13. Just follow the paths I listed above... The .rar file has the .wavs broken down into their appropriate folder paths they belong in... Just place all of the Bao-Dur wavs (from the .rar file) in the "StreamVoice/GBL/BAODUR" folder for Mira, place all of her wavs (from the .rar) in the "StreamVoice/GBL/mira" folder
  14. Make sure you're dragging the entire "StreamVoice" folder (not just it's contents) from the .rar file over to TSL's 'main' folder... default path is C:\Program Files\LucasArts\SWKotOR2 This is one case where they don't go into your override folder If you want to get really 'down-n-dirty' you can drop the individual .wav files in their proper folder... Default path for Bao-Dur's wavs are: C:\Program Files\LucasArts\SWKotOR2\StreamVoice\GBL\BAODUR and Mira's is: C:\Program Files\LucasArts\SWKotOR2\StreamVoice\GBL\mira
  15. 2 basic things (and it's not meant as an insult, just checking) 1) make sure you're using the Play Disc when you start the game 2) Did you restart the computer after patching it?
  16. Be sure to ask the guy if he has any proof it's his. I believe the line is: "If you have any proof it's yours, then I'll let you have it"... or something of that nature
  17. Check your PM's and let me know if you have any problems with it. If you've already landed on Telos' surface and have Bao with you, you'll need to use the cheat codes or KSE in order to get the Armor... I've included a readme that lists the codes and such... and I included install instructions in both the readme file and in the PM... Hope this works for you :D
  18. No offense man, but if I wanted RL guns... I'd play Call of Duty...or the other countless war games out there... StarWars is for "blasters" and "lightsabers" and all that other 'nifty' stuff that defies all logic and physics...
  19. hehehe... no problem, my pleasure Just so we can "pre-prep".. go ahead and delete every instance of the Bao armor you can. The files you need to delete are listed in the readme. Also, make sure to go ahead and install the USM (if you haven't already). The files I'll give you (tonight or tomorrow) will be a "drop all of this in your override folder, overwrite if asked" kinda deal I'll PM you a link to download the file(s) once I get it done. Just to be safe. Don't install any other mods until I can send you the file, otherwise it may conflict. Well,... in all honesty, I should say "don't install any other mods that contains a baseitems.2da file".. other mods shouldn't conflict Do you have any other mods installed I should be aware of? Again, only if it's a baseitems.2da mod... I can go ahead and make them compatible as well
  20. Hmm.. so is it still missing the .uti file in your override when you go to check it manually? The installation feedback looks ok, or 'normal' rather ... hehehe ... If you're still getting problems, I can try to compile you a 'workable' Bao edition for a post-USM install if you're interested. It might be till tomorrow though when I can get to it... OR, if I'm mis-reading this post and everything's working now... then groovy! pardon my rambling.. hehe
  21. hmm.. ok first thing, don't save the file (the .rar or it's contents) into override.. that may cause conflicts and the reason why it's saying a .uti already exists. The installer will copy those files into your override folder automatically... 1) Download (or move) the .rar to your desktop 2) Open the .rar file and drag the entire folder onto your desktop 3) Open the folder and run the installer .exe from there 4) When the pop up comes up looking for a baseitems.2da, point it to the baseitems.2da in your override folder (that came with the USM) It might help as well to remove any file associated with the Bao armor from your override (from a previous install) so that you're "starting fresh"
  22. Unfortunately, in TSL you can't take a screenshot without the menus unless you're in 1st person view, and if that wasn't sucky enough... the game won't let you 'fight' or even walk in 1st person... The .ini hack that was possible in KotOR doesn't work with TSL... Yet another gripe I have with TSL... However, if you find some screenies that you like.. you could always crop out the menus and add a border so that it fills the 1024x768 dimensions.. Here's a thread that has some nice user submitted screenies. There's a few in there that are nice: http://www.lucasforums.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=126014 I'm not sure if Obsidian's Forums here have a screenshot thread?
  23. Check the last post on page #5... the Breakway Saber is the BA-122 Prototype Saber B = Break A = Away 1 = One 2 = "To" 2 = Two Just some 'insight' to show how my mind works, hehehe @Alissa Hmmmm... when you install the Bao's armor, are you using the included installer .exe file? Bao's mod won't work unless you do. Also, it's very important to follow the instructions in the readme... the way the folder structure is, if there's one thing out of place.. it won't install correctly... After you've installed the USM and go to install the Bao Mod, the installer will ask you for a baseitems.2da... make sure you point the installer the the USM's baseitems.2da that you just recently installed (in the override folder) Let me know if you're having any more problems.. p.s. wow, how many times can I say "install" in one post... hehehe
  24. Rut Ro Raggy... When you're in the Military Underground Base (Telos Surface) there was a placeable called "Czerka Courrier Case"... inside is the blueprints for the BA-122 Prototype Saber... there should've been a pop-up message saying "Don't break this down".. hehehe... It's a required item to have for the HiTek Assembly Station to "assemble" those sabers for you (and a Repair of 9+)... if you don't have the blueprints, the station just acts as a component bench and lab... however, if you have the pre-requisites.. a new dialogue option will show... If worse comes to worse, use KSE or cheat codes to give yourself the blueprints, then re-visit the HTAS on Dantooine. Luckily, it's not a game-breaking 'mini-quest' if you cheat to get the blueprints... I'm at work right now, so I can't remember the exact cheat code, but i believe it's "giveitem ba_blueprint" or "giveitem ba_blueprints" or something of that nature (just look in your override for the proper .uti filename)..
  25. If I remember correctly, the Rocarian Crystal (Darth Maul model) is a double-saber, and Heckur's suggestion about the HiTek Assembly Station (Dantooine Landing Pad) will work for you as well... just make sure you have a repair skill of 9 or higher, and you MUST have the BA-122 Prototype Saber blueprints (you get them in the Underground Base on Telos' surface)...it'll be a datapad in your inventory... The Hi-Tek will assemble 2 sabers and a double-saber (same color BA-122 model) for you. Plus it acts as a component bench and medlab
